I currently drive a VW T6 Kombi, diesel, obviously, and it is the perfect vehicle for work, my question though, when will a suitable vehicle be available to replace this? It’s 4 1/2 years old and perfectly fine, and I intend to keep it for at least another year or two, but come the time to change, what will I realistically be buying? another diesel? hybrid?

Oh, and it needs to have at least a 400 mile range.

You really can’t beat the Denon DM41 plus a couple of half decent speakers, but my recent purchase of a pair of Edifer Bluetooth speakers for the office is a bit of a revelation, and a third of the price of the Denon setup.

There is little point to this thread. The OP clearly has had his mind set on a fancy 4X4 and now he his in a financial position to do so….so, whats the point? An Audi A6 est or BMW 5 series est would do the job so much better and would be my choice.

I’m assuming you’re nicely tucked up in two weeks quarantine now? I know for a fact many aren’t.

Seriously consider getting the Pro, but at the last minute buy the new Air, and with the money you save get a decent SSD external hard drive and a external monitor which can become your telly as well.

And with the change…..buy several beers, no, dozens, no, more .

Why any other country would allow the english ( not Welsh, Scottish or Irish ) into their countries beats me, financial probably. This is just pure distraction politics again. PPE, exams, Brexshit, you take your pick, but that dirty little Cummings is at it again.

History will judge this man, and he ( along with Bannon) will be put down in the same chapters as some of Stalin’s, and Hitler’s shady men in the shadows.

The Skoda will be fine, but the 1.5TSI manual will have the Kangarooing problem and I speak from experience, it’s awful. The Golf DSG won’t have the problem, and is a nicer place to be. In this instance I say Golf.

The BBC made a documentary about Sheffield only a few years ago. I think it maybe still available on the iPlayer or youtube. It’s called Threads.

Any of the Sony Alpha 6000 range, new or second hand, and the same goes for most of the Canon EOS range. The latter having been around for quite awhile now, so loads on ebay and lots of accessories to help you out. For sound I’d go Rode, which are the more reliable end of the semi pro market, and I’d look for a radio mic system with a ” lav” or tie clip mic.

I wish I had the cash to even consider a holiday, lucky you. But if I could, I’d be holed up somewhere in rural France, which is a lot safer than here.

Why any country would want the Brits to come beats me…….arh yes! cash, its all about cash.

Private or dealership? I feel you can always be a bit cheekier with your offer with a dealer, but always be prepared to walk away and let them sweat.

Bravo Mr Cummings, not even a mention of his name on 9am BBC news. It’s even sliding down the agenda on this forum, hell, we’re barely even talking about him in his own thread. Cummings could have run someone over on his way up the A1 that night and he’d get away with it. What a world we live in.

For lots of reasons most normal people can’t currently fathom, but 6 months ago, because they were just a little bit racist.

Maybe more than a little bit.

LBA must have some staff on the last few days as a small number of planes have been in and out. Strangely though, a white unmarked Lear jet sort of thing has taken off both today and yesterday, and as I’ve been out in the garden with little to do, I’ve looked at Flight tracker24 and the plane doesn’t show up. Any ideas? Menwith Hill isn’t too far away (listening station) and I know the yanks there use LBA a lot. Just saying.

Whilst watching the news this morning, I’ve noticed the story is slipping down the order. It will be almost gone by tomorrow, mark my words. That man is scum, but he’s clever scum.

Please don’t forget Cummings is still firmly in charge of this show, and though parliament is closed, some contract, some legistlation, something big is going under the radar and under our noses. My first instinct would be to check share prices today of any US pharma.

He is a very, very dangerous individual who shouldn’t have been able to worm his way up the ranks like he has, but he’s there, and this won’t be the end of him. He’ll get away with it and then it officially puts him above the law,( which I’m sure he was very comfortable with anyway) and nothing will change. Prepare for a new diversion/news event sometime this weekend.

Go for the 7, I honestly can’t find fault with it. The dedicated battery thing is the biggest no no for me.

I live pretty close to LBA, and have seen quite a few random military aircraft over the last few weeks, but the best of all was a Red Arrow doing a fast fly past then “giving it some” up the Wharfe valley towards Ilkley, wonderful stuff to see.

I live in north west Leeds where there has been a successful Red Kite breeding program going for some time. A couple of weeks ago a Red Kite was found shot dead not far from here.Absolute stunning creatures that only take carrion and are no threat to anyone or anything.

Lock down and test test test. But is locking down just delaying the inevitable ? who knows, but err on the side of caution certainly.
