    Thanks all.

I’m going to order the YN568ex and a yn560, and have a good play.

I love this forum, always an answer!

Am I the only one here that is thinking , ” make a bloody battery that will last ALL DAY! when you use it” Or at least stick a solar panel on the back . A tiny little panel powered my Casio fx82 all the way through my O levels and A levels! And don’t tell me that my calculator wasn’t running Endomondo and Angry Birds, because Simon Groom told me it had more computing power than the Appollo space rockets. So there!

I’m going to lie down now and take my tablets.

PS. A prize if you can name his dog.

You can have my Vito, its reluctenly for sale. Dualiner Sport. 5 seats, big boot, all the toys. They drive better than the VWs and are a little bit cheaper. I’ve had both over the last 6 years and theres very little between them apart from resale value.

My Vito with winter tyres on is bloody good. But my cousin as a Impreza (nothing flash, little old ladies 2.0l est) with rally tyres off ebay.£500 car and tyres and insurance, unstoppable!

Could be tight hamstrings. Lots of lower back problems can be traced to this.

Will do.First snow of next winter! Suckers! No, really,I wouldn’t. Or would I?

Thanks all for your input. The tyres are only on their third winter, and weren’t the most expensive, so maybe yes they are past their best. It’s a shame as they have plenty of tread and look fine.

Just burn them, if you don’t want them.

7mm of tread left, and yes you can still see the sipes. I normally run the tyre pressures quite high for economy, but I always have. I will go have a look!

Probably won’t get anymore snow now!

By admitting this I know that i`m going to be talked about in the same breath as Jimmy Saville and Gary Glitter!! but here goes ,I drive a Disco ,great for taking 5 of us biking without a push, the wife drives a Shogun and I use a Navara for work!!! I am so so sorry!!![/quote]

    You’re forgiven.

I was quite obviously having a laugh with this thread, I have nothing against 4X4’s. I have used them many times over the years because I have needed them. And I have NEVER EVER got stuck, and nothing, I mean nothing gives me more pleasure than chugging past a Chelsea Tractor on a snowy hill in my RWD Vito (winter tyre shod) and as hard as I’m laughing I want to shout WHY?????????

    Nuff said.

Just come back from the Porte Du Soliel last week, and halfway through the week myself and the missus went back to the hire shop and hired helmets for the rest of the week. I wear one on my bike, we insist on the kids wearing them, so why not? Gives you something to mount the Gopro too as well.

Oh and if you’re worried about the cost £30 from Decathlon will get you a decent one.

Now I realise by the nature of this forum that the majority of you guys just want any excuse to spend a fortune on bikes, and I also know quality kids bikes still fetch good money on Ebay but……….kids out grow their bikes often in a year. They use and abuse them, abandon them where ever, fling them down etc. Do you want to be that parent screaming at your kid because he/she has thrown their £200 bike down on the drive, or left it up the street.

My 10yr old daughter now has a semi decent 24″ that will last 4/5 years and she looks after it, but my 7yr old son has a 20″ MTB ish thing that was a fiver off Ebay. A couple of new tyres and a fettle and its just fine. When he’s finished with it, it will…..yes be back on Ebay, and I’m hoping to make a profit!

Oh, and I’ve no idea where he left it last night, nor has he!

I love this forum! Always plenty of opinions and fast. The old girl is just too knackered. Too many rips, that I just can’t repair anymore. Some of the panels don’t have any down left! I want something new but of the same quality but finding that is hard.

United Fisheries opposite Elland Road used to be excellent, but has sadly changed ownership a number of and has never returned to its greatness (abit like the boys over the road!)

Brier/ Briar Wood was/is at the bottom of Howden Clough opposite the tip. Its always been used by moto cross guys but would make a great but small off road track.

I have noticed one thing about this thread, the very West Yorkshire bias. As a Yorkshireman, infact born and bred Leeds bloke I have come to realize you can’t get good fish and chips outside West Yorkshire, no I’ll go as far as saying outside Leeds.

Nuff said, we need go no further.

I really can’t believe some people can moan about a trail that is free to ride and built by volunteers?

I’d love to ride the trail the OP has built.

Thanks all. I think Kielder is out. Infact I don’t think I’ll even bother packing my bike, the weather forecast is looking pretty awful. I think it’ll be a week on the beach being british! Sarnies and a windbreak.

YES YES YES. And not only get on the ladder as early as possible, but keep stepping up whenever you can. You could get to 50 and be mortgage free and with a whacking big house and/or a few properties. See it as your pension scheme, because your pension will be worth Jack by the time you retire.

Why not buy the proper thing in the first place? If you think you will eventually want try road cycling just buy a drop bar bike. If its primarily going to be a commuter/tow path/trainer juat buy a hybrid or even google drop bar road bike, you can buy them already converted. With the bike to work scheme there is a fair few bikes going around as you describe. BTW you may also find a sudden price hike in road bikes on ebay

    Simple answer. I’m cheap.

We’ve always used Norfolk lines. Book direct, and they don’t charge extra for vans. The ferries are newer and always quieter than the rivals. The crossing to Dunkirk may take 15 mins extra but we’ve used them for years now as they offer a much more relaxed service and a damn sight cheaper.

Now you say the shifters won’t fit flat bars obviously, but I assume the changers and cables will, so it will just be a case of buying MTB shifters?

Effects or FX, sorry by that I mean the sound . Try lowering the level of the live recorded sound on the slo-mo bits, they can be a bit distracting.

Keep at it though, you’ll only get better by use.

A big improvement in the quality, probably down to the final render. The ramping (slowing the shot in the same scene) works well, as has been said above don’t over do it. Try lowering the effects level, particularly during slo-mo edits, and also think about the outs on edits (keep them tight). Invest in a tripod, or something like the Gorrilla pod which is a great tool especially in a wood where you can clamp it to branches etc.

I know its your mates filming you for free, so you can’t be too critical, but ask them to think about the end of a shot as much as the start (ie, don’t end on a tree).

Best advice though, keep at it! Mix up the shots.
