Well, the T130s has left the building to make way for something else.. Just wasn’t getting to grips with the Whyte as much as I’d have thought.

Its hard to pinpoint, I think its a combo of small things and I know Im being very picky LOL.

Best thing about it is that its very very manouverable, however I just cant seem to gel with it. Maybe, even though I mentioned that after riding a Santa Cruz the other day that the Whyte handled better ie front wheel lifts easier, maybe Im thinking opposite to what I should, and that a more planted, slightly longer wheelbase bike may suit me even better.
Maybe coming from my old 2012 Yeti 575, that’s set the benchmark and I cant quite stretch to another one. £3k would be my tops really.

Only other thing was that I wish they’d have done the T130s in black LOL !!!!

The difficult thing is actually getting to a shop that has a bike that I want to even try, everyones out of stock of the ones Im looking at.
Was looking at the new Norco Sight AL 7.0 last night and seemed like a nice spec.

Keep looking at the Orange Five, but hear mixed thoughts on those.

Well, I’ve decided, after a few sleepless nights of dliberation, I am parting company with my T130s to look at something else.

So if anyone knows anyone who wants it, it’s up for grabs, as per pic but with stock bars and stem. In excellent condition.

Postierich, so now you have that “hope” freewheel click then 😉 personally I love the sound, I know others hate it though.
What other bikes dos people try before settling on the T130?

Did you feel any difference after the wheel upgrade? Must admit, I was thinking of doing the same as I hate the orange hubs.
My chain also is too long I’ve noticed.

    @Postierich,

IF you’ve had no luck I also have mint unused OEM T130s Bar/stem combo Id do on the cheap. Send me an offer if interested.

Agreed dvowles, the black does look better than the renthal colour way.
I was concerned the 9′ back-sweep on the eastons would be too much for me as the renthals were a lot less, but the eastons feel great. It’s odd cos the sweep is the same as the stock bars but they felt way more than eastons 9′.
I stuck with the 70mm stem length and I found on climbs, the front just starts to lift otherwise of have gone down to a 50mm. Feels right as it is for me now anyway.

Also, how are people finding the SRAM DB5 brakes? Tempted to swap them out for an SLX set.

Going back to my T130s, changed bar/stem combo to Easton Haven carbon 35.

Just got some Easton Haven 35 carbon bars to try out on my T130s. Will be interesting to see how going up to 35mm changes the ride, if at all.

The stem is the 70mm one. I could split if needed though but ideally would rather shift the 2 together. £90 for both

If anyones interested, I am selling my renthal bars and stem together, which can be seen on my pic on this thread, decided I Want to go carbon LOL….

It’s a tough call, dependent really on arm length etc etc. Personally, if you’re unsure error on the side of caution and go with a 60mm stem. Im finding the 70mm is fine for me, I reckon I could have gone 60 which I may do some point but for now Ill stick to the 70 and see how I get on for a few months.

Go for it, they do look great. I agree, the OEM stem isnt the nicest looking around.
The Renthal Apex stem is ridiculously light too.

    Thanks everyone for the input.

@dvowles82 – Just standard Fatbar Lite width, think its 740mm with a Renthal Apex 70mm Stem. Feels spot on. Im 5’11” on a large.
This bike feels just like my old 2012 Yeti 575 yet the T130s feels a bit more agile even with the 650b wheels, also this is over £1000 less. Great bike for anyone who is thinking of getting one, you wont be disappointed one bit.

Cheers, I will look into some of those.

After being out the bike scene since 2012 I’ve just got myself a Large (I’m 5’11”) T130s. Before that in 2012 I had the Yeti 575 which I thought was an amazing bike and really set a new benchmark for me. However, I must say that after changing the stock bar and stem to Renthal, this T130 is just as good as the Yeti was for alot less money, obviously the spec isn’t quite up to the XT of the 575, but it seems to work well so far and coming with a stealth reverb as standard is a huge bonus for the T130s.

Cant wait to get out at Cannock to thrash its pants off.
