Sunshine and showers, managed to pick a good gap to get out on the bike later on, quite breezy so mainly in the woods.

Started with a local ride out from Sheffield towards Holmes field and back via big moor and Totley Moss. Was very misty so failed on the photo front. Good to hear what everyone else is up to.

I would say an uplift day was definitely a day’s exercise. It’s all part of a mix anyway.

Have a good time on Monday.

Thank you for organising again, I’ll have another go.

At the 100 days I hasten to add, not the other bits above my post

    Hope the event goes well.

I was up riding Kirroughtree in July and as usual had a really good day there. I think it’s my favourite trail centre.

It could work well as a travel and shorter day, long day, then another shorter day leaving time to travel.

I’m definitely going to have a closer look at the full route.

How has the training gone @stemill ? Not long till the event. I’ve managed a couple of slightly longer rides, weather is looking good on the long range forecast at the moment….

Seat post man retrieved a very stuck reverb from my cotic Solaris.

I’d not quite got as far as the original picture in my attempts, but had used oil, coke (the drink!) vice, drills and made a hole perpendicular to the post axis to stick a rod through to try and rotate it.

I left it for an hour or so and came back to find the frame in great condition.

    Well worth the cost.

Hope everyone starting to feel a bit better from injuries and illness for the end of May.

I have no proper excuses for poor performance other than general laziness.

Lawson park was open about 2 weeks ago, couple of trees still down across it but easily passable and no closed signs.

I think this is one of the best issues for ages. I’ve been a subscriber since it was all fields and that.

This issue, for whatever reason feels a bit like some of the longer stories from back then, with lovely writing about the riding and adventures rather than bits of kit/ company stuff.

I especially liked the bike packing, the Jura stuff and Chipp’s getting settled in France.

Really enjoyed it and still have a few little bits to read

    Lovely looking landscape mogrim.

I know it’s kind of day 101, but am home alone as other half at work and family arrive at lunchtime

    Quick run this morning.

Happy Christmas all and thanks for the updates, photos and sharing adventures.

Main thanks to hector my cat who has done sterling work on Strava for me this year. It helps to put the catflap on out only and the miles just rack up!

    A well earned rest now.

Ride today for day 100. Note ride accessory is capped by a full pastry disc, breached only by regulation fork produced vent holes.

    Well done all. Especially Stanley.

I like the woodland near Aviemore. It’s a really nice place to be.

Drizzly here most of the day. I got out for a ride this evening and delivered Christmas cards on a loop via bits of woodland.

    Nearly there now!

Dale’s bike centre is a brilliant base. Good riding, decent pubs in walking distance. Brilliant cake and coffee from the bike centre and an honourable mention for the bakery in the mini business park.

That looked like a grand day out to Corrour Station @scotroutes.

That’s a lovely view from Darwen tower @keefezza

I got another ride in yesterday in the lovely frosty blue sky weather.

Today the rain has returned. Will get out for a walk later.

It’s really impressive what you’re getting out and doing @stanley. Make sure you’re keeping well wrapped up and your core / hands & feet warm especially with the neuropathy and this cold weather.

Good luck to all for the last few days.

Feeling a bit perkier than last few days so got out for another slow ride.

The lesson of the ride is that a 180mm rotor is just close enough in size to a 200mm rotor to give a bit of pad overlap – so that if you are being dopey you can do half a ride before you realise you have the wrong front wheel on the bike and are then very careful on all the remaining descents!

Purely ornamental for the bedroom. Chimney has one of those sheep up it and is capped at the top.

I like the oak mantlepiece above yours.

We ripped out a load of horrible fitted furniture and spent ages making the poorly floor better before sanding.
It had been butchered over the years with crowbars, circular saws and probably medieval seige weapons…..

The room is less dark than the badly taken photo makes it look, painted white picture rail and above.

Nice fireplace. I just did one too!

Updated the bedroom and put back in a cast iron insert into the blocked up fireplace. I did not do the plastering but we bodged everything else together.

LAst few days have been walks to fit round work.

Got out this morning, fog in Sheffield but transient blue sky at Burbage (which disappeared for photos!)

Popped out after work. Hovering around freezing. Lovely full moon and rode the top field above Blacka Moor by moonlight.

My phone camera is not great generally but rubbish in the dark.

    Lots of good photos above.

Hoping for frozen ground and blue skies here over the next few days. A dusting of light snow for aesthetic purposes would be acceptable too.

Got out this afternoon, probably should have put more layers on as it was pretty chilly

Glad you are getting out @stanley – that’s definitely a good effort.

I like the bike helmet Christmas tree @scotroutes and the leaf @fazzini

I got out after work yesterday for a ride near tideswell, but it was cold and grey so didn’t get any photos.

Slow trot around in the dark today.

Fingers crossed for some frosty blue sky days later on this week.

Hope Stanley is ok. It’s been difficult with the damp grey days. I don’t think anyone has let the side down. Just getting out and getting some fresh air when we get the chance, or a bit of a workout inside is all good.

I’m not managing any kind of hypothermic antics like scotroutes, I am impressed by your cold tolerance!

Hope everyone is ok. Weather here has still be cold and grey but today a bit more broken up. Set off for an afternoon ride that changed to a night ride.
