Not a great photo, and not a great ride tbh, but I least I wasn't stuck in this windowless workshop like I am now.

(in a slightly grumpy mood today)

So whats the best way to get there then? Notice theres a path from The Buck carpark signposted "Top of Leach", is that a bridleway and does that lead up that way? Or is it better going further down the road?

Garmin Connect is pretty good, and dead easy to upload with their plugin.

    94.87 miles since 17th March.

I go out for a proper ride for a few hours once a week, and try and get two short rides on a mixture of road and cycle path in during the week to try and get fitter. I really need to motivate myself to go out more than once in a weekend now the weathers getting decent.

I'm glad he's ok but are we allowed to suggest he was slightly irresponsible now?

Sure I've seen a coil shock on one on MTBR in the US. Not sure why though tbh..

You should be able to abstain if you don't like any of the candidates

You can. Go in and spoil your voting card. At least it gets counted that way.

705 is almost the same size as the Dakota I think, just slimer, and that fits my 80mm stem fine..

People always comment on how clean my bike is, but I think its just an easy colour to keep clean. It does get washed after every ride, but I just hose it down, cover it in loads of fenwicks then hose it off again. Costs me a fortune in Fenwicks but its relatively hassle free :D

It will work as car sat nav too, not anywhere near as good as TomTom, but it'll get you there. No voice as you say.

You don't need one, but its great to just ride without thinking about the route you're taking next. You just ride till it beeps, look down to check the direction, and carry on.

It doesn't come with any software. Something like MemoryMap is very handy to plot routes on then save to the Dakota, but there are free ways to do this I think, and theres loads of GPX files about on the net ready made.

This is also a great tool if you don't mind spending some time and putting the effort in to get the map of the area you want before your ride.

I think you're right to meet him, I think this is a situation where it really is better to regret something you have done, than something you haven't.

If you still can't stand him, at least you'll know that, but I think you'd always wonder if you missed the chance to find out.

Don't even know the guy, but keep opening this thread hoping to see a reply from him wondering what all the fuss is about..

Noticed people posting threads on other forums, thats a good idea to feel a little less helpless. Can anyone think of anymore outdoorsy type forums to post on? Particularly walking websites and regional stuff.

Front info will be in the manual, which is on Rockshox's website iirc. The Tora SL on my Rockhopper is ok with 203s.

I would also love to understand why kickers going up hill or just as you go into a berm add value unless they are the trail centre version of speed bumps

If you do it right (apparently, I struggle enough with flat bits..) they should be speeding you up, not slowing you down..

How come they all eat burgers at Dairy Queen then? Never could understand that one!

    They're americans, it's a burger.

You could call it "The Big Gay Mincers" and they'd still eat there.

Boinking your sister was acceptable until Moses came along and spoiled it for us all.

I'd guess a large amount of christians don't believe it is a word for word historically factual story tbh, I know I don't.

909 attachment system is much better than the 9503. I've got a 908, and including connecting the electrics, it's fitted and ready to take a bike in <30s. You just place it on the ball and push the lever down. It then locks, which I don't think the 9503 does without an optional extra. The bike locks to the rack too, don't think the 9503 does that either.

Good, gobby bitch, the fact she went straight to Max Clifford to sell her story says it all about her I think.

He warned her several times, pushed her back, struck her with his hand, and then resorted to using his batton when she still kept coming toward him. Several independant people (called by the prosecution, oddly) stood up for him, and the judge backed him up too. He was in a very difficult position and he made a decision to defend himself.

Why couldn't he have a cameraman with him all the way, or more of the way, why did the 'bbc cameraman' have to leave him?

Because then people on internet forums would say "He didn't even do it alone!!! He had a support crew!! He's not a real man!!" etc etc etc

Can you create natural trails? Surely creating something means it isn't natural..

While you do get bargains, most of the stuff isn't actually that much cheaper than other places. I like going for a browse and you do get some good stuff.

There are new trails being dug by EdO and Back On Track at Cragg Quarry, which will eventually link up to Lee Quarry, if thats where you mean.
