    He looks like a pervert.

    He's a 100%, grade a, top level, weapons grade c**t.

I resent sharing my oxygen supply with him.

Rode one under the A580 near Worsley last night, entertaining in sunnies. Just watch for the smack rats.

    BK burgers, McD fries.

Subway is vile, it's shite food pretending to be "healthy"

At least you know what you're getting with BK or McDonalds.

I use mine most of the time. They don't go fully clear, or fully dark, but for most days in the UK they're perfect. They do fog when you stop though. Reminds me, I must try the washing up liquid trick.

Presumably two or more dead birds at the same time might indicate something untoward? (e.g. poisoning, **** with air rifle etc)

    This ^^

Same thing with the bird flu "crisis". They weren't interested in one dead bird, birds die all the time, if there was more than one in the same place at the same time, they wanted to know so they could check it.

I've never had any problems either, most people seem to realise that we're out there for pretty much the same reasons they are. Most "proper" (that's sure to start an argument..) walkers are very friendly, its the ones that seem to have dragged the kids out for their annual experience of nature that are the miserable bastards :D

"quite nicely" sounds like an exaggeration, surely? it'd be like camping at a motorway services in the middle of the desert. with squaddies. plus a lot of the food places have been ordered to close, as it happens: http://www.armytimes.com/news/2010/07/army_fastfood_072410w/

Sorry, two seperate points, should have been clearer. I'd assume the big bases with the americans are pretty safe and as comfortable as that kind of thing can be (didn't mean the fast food specifically), and when you get home, you could set yourself up in life quite nicely with the money for a house deposit, nice car etc.

Depends on the base, if its one of the big ones where the americans have built themselves a mcdonalds, then yeah I think I'd jump at the chance. Could set yourself up quite nicely.

What browser do you use? Easiest way to do it and keep within the T&Cs of Flickr is with the Greasemonkey add on for firefox and this script.

Endura Coolmax at the moment, Sealskins in the winter. The freebies I got with MBUK a few months ago are pretty good too.

I'm pretty happy with mine, the screen is quite small, so don't expect to be using it to plot routes on too much, but its perfectly fine to glance at and follow a route, or to check which way a path goes etc. I also find the altimeter to be very optimistic.

Personally prefer routes to tracks, you don't get the beeps on tracks.

    Just found this one..

Slightly different to Phorumr, you click Share This, then Grab HTML. You can then select the size and copy the link.

2009 Comp. Not many upgrades mind, got distracted by a FS before I had much chance. Used mainly for road and cycle tracks really now. Poor thing is a bit neglected.

    Plenty of pimped ones here.

I've got an Endura Cairn which is bloody excellent for £19. No pockets, but most of us use a bag anyway. Nice lightweight breathable material, flatlocked seams, simple design, dark colour for mud. Perfick.

It comes with a micro usb lead and a mains usb adapter to charge or connect.

It does indeed rotate, 2.2 will rotate in both directions, think 2.1 does in most apps.

A friend of a friend's son was showing her how to use the internet. Obviously both were quite nieve. Trying to think of something she was interested in to show her, he realised she was a keen smoker. So typed in "fags".

Apparently not the results she was looking for.

    mmmHayden…

I like the Pontypines and the Wattingers, but can you imagine living opposite them? And how do they all fit in those little semis? I think the social services need to be looking into that. All those kids, musn't be a TV in that house.

Not a problem on my Trance. Is it in one particular ring or all of them?

Only some apps will do it, it has to be written in to the software of the app. There's an app called SDMove that goes through and finds all the ones you can move.

Theres a little plastic clip in the bag you hook the bladder over, no idea if its compatible with a camelback though.

I really like the bag, and the bladder is excellent (very easy to use and to clean, looks easier than camelback, but I've not tried one), but agree that the bite valve is pants.

What valve are people using as a replacement?

Oh and I managed to snap the clip off my bladder after about 2 weeks. That was my own fault though.

If you don't believe in it, wtf does it matter?

MTFU, accept it as the gesture it was intended as and get on with it.

I'm not religious, but I'm godfather to both my neices, and it was fantastic to be asked.

I've switched from Finish Line wet to Squirt now, so far so good. Tried Finish Line dry too, but it usually didn't even last a ride. FL wet works well but does get filthy, didn't bother degreasing after every ride, just gave it a wash with muck off and the hose and a proper clean every few weeks.

They're great IMO, but don't wear them with shorts. Don't quite get why people do that..

My new i950's just been delivered and I'm surprised how short it is actually. Should all fit in the interrupted seat tube of my Trance X no problem.

Is the peak made of a some kind of impact obsorbing material then?

Most are just plastic and will just pass all the energy through into the shell of the helmet.

Fair enough if your willing to keep using it, it's your choice, but calling people stupid for pointing out that you should change a helmet after you crash is a bit rude.

Photo's of dead ones would also be good, just so I know that it's possible.

You probably don't want to see that, might put you off :D

Take it you have never raced cars or bikes?

Fail to see what thats got to do with me finding both the TDF and F1 racing boring?

I'm a fan of other motorsport, and other kinds of bike racing, but I've never done them either.

I find the TDF to be quite like F1 actually, now you come to mention it..

Both are technically very impressive, have moments of excitement, but are generally dull and overcomplicated.

Interesting, they choose not to proceed because autopsy's 2 & 3 (which apparently agreed with each other) did not agree with the findings of the first autopsy.

Seems a genuine basis for not being able to secure a conviction, until you consider that autopsy number 1 was performed by a possibly-soon-to-be-discredited coroner…

Have you read the report? Both the second and third autopsy based their findings on a mistake in the report of the first autopsy. There is no evidence of an abdominal haemorrhage.

It is legal to use force to move someone willfully obstructing the police though…
