Not had a proper ride for a few weeks now, full of a stinking cold this weekend :(

WGAF, as long as they're not poisonous and get you through the day, not like you'll be eating them 3 times a day for the rest of your life..

Helmet, gloves and glasses are the essentials for me. Then knee pads for proper rides.

I'm sure the route's sorted Jules, but is Roman Lakes a good place to start …what with the loos, the car park, the cafe and easy access to some nice riding?

Just don't take anyone with a family history of depression, the full range of pot noodle and the children's play area might push them over the edge :D

It's the moment he's standing on top and lets go with both hands to attach the clip that gets me 8O

    Not better. Just different.

Exactly. You can do both you know..

And of course, there's balls all natural about most "natural" trails anyway.

I think everyone else has just about covered my thoughts. buzz-lightyear in particular seems to have a similar experience to me, he's right its definetly a sit and spin bike, up a rough climb and the maestro soaks it up and lets you pedal away without bobbing. With a 120mm fork they're definetly more about picking your line than ploughing through descents, I intend to try a 140mm as soon as I can justify the cash, everyone whos changed over raves about it, and Giant themselves fit a 140 to the X0.

For my riding currently, I don't feel the need to change it, it's a do it all bike for me, my hardtails been relagated to quick tow path rides and road rides, going out on a proper ride and I take my 09 X2. Lots of folk on the MTBR pics thread are on their second or third Trance, always a good sign that people keep coming back IMO. I'd only change mine if I grew some balls and wanted something a bit burlier.

Yep, yesterday, maybe your postie is a secret fan? Is he sat with his feet up in the van down the road having a read?

Don't give yourself the time to talk yourself out of it. Switch off the alarm, get dressed, and get out. Thinking "i'll just sit here for a minute first" is the first step in rolling over and going back to sleep.

The pennine bridleway is signposted to the right of the buck, just follow that up, it runs through the middle of cragg. Can't miss it.

how much do the experts think the rotational force of my 400g XC lid exaggerated my concussion?

Not as much as the sudden decleration of your head when you hit the bridge.

    Bridges are rubbish!

It had only just started to rain like that when Hill came down though, look how clean he is there.

By the time Gee and Peaty came down the track was cut up and both riders were sliding around, Gee spent most of the run with one foot out unclipped.

How long ago was the hydrapak? I know there was problems with some leaking, but the one in my Nomad is ace, shame the same can't be said of the valve. The opening is miles better on the hydrapak, can turn it inside out for cleaning/drying.

Such a shame the weather played such a big part, never know if sam hill really was that fast or just got lucky on the timing of his run..

Assuming we're talking lycra and not baggies, then no, you're not wierd. The whole point of lycra is that it goes against your skin..

I think the question should be, why would you?

How much is a tin of salmon?

Unless its the very last thing you have and cannot physically get out to buy more, I don't see the point in risking it?

Would that be the videos that say

More special video from Matt at Eurobike for our Premier Users.

Nothings changed, you haven't lost anything, you're just not getting the extra stuff premier users pay for.

Definetly going toward the more AM side of XC. Needs a 140mm fork soon I think.

I once ordered from CRC and paid extra for delivery. I then realised I'd forgotten something, ordered that and went for free delivery.

    Guess which came first :D

Can't use CO2 on wood. Powder can be used for everything, makes a hell of a mess but I don't suppose thats a big problem if your house is on fire..

Thule 908. Main advantage over the cheaper models is the clamp. Theres no bolts to tighten or anything, it's just a lever you press down, then turn the key and it's locked to the towball.

Any chance you can check an order for me spokebloke?

    #3625.

I know you've been away, but the e-mail said orders will still be dispatched, but I haven't got the t-shirt yet?

    Thanks

    Ignore, ignore ignore.

Trying to be reasonable and making contact was my biggest mistake, went on over a year until my solicitor contacted them and told them to FRO.

Incidentally, since clamping on private land is shortly to be banned, and you can ignore any tickets you get, does that mean that the entire private parking industry is about to die?*

The vast majority of people, I imagine, will pay the charge. The industry is based on people not knowing better and scaring them into paying.

Never had any problems with it stripping anything personally.

I use Fenwicks now though, because it's 1/10th of the cost.

No. Well, you can, but its post processing, and imo, looks wierd.
