A bit of smooth fast trails to warm myself up, then some techy stuff :-)

Also depends where my head is at, sometimes it's just too hard to have to concentrate on the techy bits!!!!! :?

Are you in a union or federation?

If so, speak to them and seek advice.

We have a federation in work who can make sure that the company is following the correct proceedure and treating you fairly.

Also if they want to officially speak to you, they provide a fed rep to sit with you.

I really like the Litespeed badge and thought it would be more orignal looking on the frame.

I initially tried to buy one from Litespeed but they;ve stopped doing them.

The stickers on the bike hardly stand out anyway. They are like a greeny / grey colour against the matt Ti frame and very understated.

Hand made from sterling silver 8)

It should be the finishing touch to my favourite bike :-)

Can't recommend Jen enough, she made it from scratch from a pretty rough sketch I sent her.

I've always thought that any miles on a bike are good :-)

There's nothing like having a chill out on the bike, soaking everything in.

Sounds like you've had a fantastic day to be honest 8)

We're just having a new bathroom fitted and we got a few folks around to get quotes.

The quotes varied massively, however they were all singing off the same hymn sheet when they ALL said "Don't buy any materials / bits from B&Q!"

Apparently they are a bit of a nightmare if you have problems with stuff and the quality is a bit iffy.

I'm not speaking from experience though.

Haha! I've not heard of anyone using the Wii Fit, good effort!

I'm not too sure how good it is though.

I stood on it twice and got 23lb.

It might be completely wrong though!!!! lol

I ride 10 miles each way to work every day and then 2 mtb rides on my rest days.

I work shifts, rather than the Mon to Fri grind; but my Garmin reckons an average of 100 to 140 miles over a 7 days.

It depends on the weather and shifts though to be honest. If i'm a bit low on the miles, I try to get a few quick 3 mile runs in; makes me feel a bit better then :-) lol

Do you mean the H/T or full sus?

My missues is 5ft 7 and rides a 17" Myka H/T which is roughly 13.5" centre to centre.

use them on my tourer, road and 29r bike,
sputnik are a bit big on a road bike.
they have some strong but lighter, smaller profile rims, but my memeory fails me.
give john a ring and he will sort you out.

2nd about Sputniks being big rims. I had issues fitting some 24c Open Pave tyres to mine, which I just couldn't get to sit right. I run mine with 32mm Conti's all year round now.

I'm using Sputnik rims on 36 hole shimano XT hubs DT D/B spokes and brass nipples.

On for around 6000 miles on them and they've not had to be touched at all :-)

Mine were recommended and built by Paul Hewitt in Leyland, Lanc's

I'd agree that your shoes are probably too tight.

I went up a size on my shoes and the problem stopped.

We bought some new Soreen the other day that's a lighter colour and not as heavy to eat. It's got peel (not John) in it and tastes a bit like a hot cross bun :-)

    Very yummy, but still sweet.

    I love lemon meringue pie.

I'm a heathen though and only like the packet one from Greens with the biscuit base.

Fond memories of my mum making them when I was a kid :-)

A special 'meal in' was chicken Kiev with corn on the cob and a jacket potato followed by a Greens lemon meringue pie :-)

    They look really good :-)

Shame I haven't got a lick and taste screen :-) lol

Probably miles away on this one, but……

I built up a bike a few months ago and couldn't work out why the front end had developed play.

I stripped it and rebuilt the headset 3 times before I realised that the front brake caliper was loose!!!!

    How embarassed was I?!?!?!?

It did feel like the headset though!!!!

    Honest!!!!! lol

It's been suggested that DHB shoes come up a bit small

Haven't got a pair myself, but my best mate bought a pair of the racier DHB's and he had to go a size up; even then they were quiet narrow.

Nice shoes for the money though :-)

    Some observations from personal experience.

    1) The press do not always cover all the facts and can omit bits of video.
    2) Folk are very keen to presume that a persons size and their potential
    danger are related.
    3) Police often have to make a decision based on information gathered
    in a split second.
    4) This information causes them to make a decision on what they BELIEVE
to be right at that time. This decision CAN be the wrong one.
    5) It is very difficult, if not impossible; in a public order situation
    to assess everything happening.
    6) Officers will be (quite rightly) asked to justify their
actions, however this will be to people who have had hindsight and
the luxury of going over the scenario again and again and again.

I won't get involved in commenting on this individual case as I, along with everyone else who hasn't had any personal involvement; do not know the full facts as to what actually went on.
