I believe that the 3m sticky stuff is pretty good.

Be very careful. I had a custom head badge for a while. Not any more

    Maybe 3m isn't the answer then :-(

I'll ask Jen about fitting it once it arrives. There must be a few people who've fitted them to a Ti frame.

£114 is a lot of money though! Does anyone do this in the UK? Bit cheaper?

I think there is a fella in the UK that does head tube badges, not too sure of his details though or if he's any cheaper.

I went with jen as she was highly recommended by loads of people. having a look at her website, she's done loads of interesting and cool badges 8)

As for gluing: I assume you're sticking Silver to bare Ti? Consider Araldite Rapid Steel. Really tough stuff. Try and get a bit o advice off adhesive experts though; there may be some weirdness with Silver and Titanium…

Yeah it's going to go on a bare Ti frame thats a dull matt finish. I want to make sure I get it right, I don't fancy the thought if it dropping off on a ride :-(

Goodridge silver braided ones on my Obed.

I did have black on at 1st, but the braided ones look really great.

    Glad I changed.

I've been running XT chainsets with 44 / 32 / 22 rings and 11-34 cassettes on both my bikes for ages.

    No problems 8)

Very nice, are you going to glue it on or some other way? I'd be scared of it dropping off mid ride and losing it

    That's the bit i'm having a dilema about :-(

I believe that the 3m sticky stuff is pretty good.

It's turned out even better than i'd imagined, I'm over the moon with it :-)

Jen only had my rough sketch to work off as well.

It was £114 all in including the delivery from America to Isle Of Man.

It no doubt sounds like a lot, but the amount of time and work that Jen has out into it; I thought it was worth it.

It'll look pretty cool on my Obed 8)

I can't speak highly enough of Jen to be honest.

I'm cheating on this one to be honest, but I love a matt Ti frame with some well placed anodised coloured bits :-)

I am partial to an early 1991 GT paint job though :-)

Has it be regulary serviced by a specialist?

This is usually a requirement for any warranty

I run XT but only 'cause I got a package deal with a full groupset.

IMHO the SLX looks a lot lot nicer, very XTR ish 8)

When my XT wears out, I'll be replacing it with an SLX

The lime green sounds really good 8)

Although I think that a dark metallic gunmental grey would go well with the stickers :-)

What colour are the new stickers?

Having OCD when it comes to bikes, I could never have stickers that clashed with the frame colour  lol

I now have to sit in a transit van in work on night shifts just because it's the only thing with a heater

Ha ha! It's t-shirt weather down here in That London tonight! Really warm.

They always say it's warmer down south :-)

I removed the nationality from the mechanic. It's irrelevant. And unfortunate that the person at Glentress making horrible comments in French to his friend didn't realise my French is good enough to understand. But it's still irrelevant. Misconceptions come in all nationalities

You should have replied something back in French :-)

The look on their face……………. priceless :-) hee hee

I've always found us mountain bikers to be a friendly, chatty and outgoing bunch.

All one family 'us against the world and we have something special that the others don't know about' type of thing :-)

Daily Mail is Tory and I thought that the Mirror was Labour or so I've always thought.

Not too sure on the others though and I may well be wrong on the two above!!! :?

It's a bit like a Smart Car and A class.

It's for folk that want a 'Badge' but don't have or want to spend the money.

The A1 looks nice though :-)

When I was around 14 to 15 yrs old I got chased by some National Trust Rangers in a Land Rover for riding my bike I shouldn't

It ended with me riding down a track which I knew narrowed to a gap that they certainly wouldn't fit a Defender through.

Very shameful to be honest
