I’ve got the Griffin Survivor myself and it’s kepy my Iphone 4 damage free for the past few months. It is quite bulky though, but I suppose they all are.

I’m definately in the liking to keep things looking nice as possible group.

I wouldn’t want to spend around £150 on a part for it to look well worn in only a few rides.

At least if the silver begins to wear, it probably won’t be as obvious.

My 2012 silver XT cranks already have a polished section, I think its because I’m wearing my wider winter boots. It’ll depend on shoe, pedal, angle you set your cleats, quantity of mud…

It’s probably safe to say then that the black ones will start to look a mess very quickly.

“That’s right, Dougal. You see, ordinary shops sell what look like black socks, but if you look closely, you’ll see that they’re very, very, very, very, very, very, very dark blue”

We were laughing about that scene from Father Ted the other day; a classic 8)

    That’s a travesty.

The only other option for number one spot will be the 1980’s ‘Eagle Eye’ Action Man in German Stormtrooper outfit.

It will probably something surprising like a bloody hulla hoop.

Don’t worry they’ve already done the hula hoop 😀

I’m a bit partial to a McD’s strawberry milkshake, but as the nearest McD’s is around 20 miles away; I rarely have one.

I think you need a gold account to watch the Sky and Love Film, not too sure about the other bits.

Having Sky and Love Film is great as we have accoutns with both, so can access loads of movies 8)

They came on a Cannondale hardtail I had many moons ago and I found them to be a bit fragile, especially the sidewalls.

The Smallblock 8’s I replaced them with were a bit better.

My most played albums in the early ninties were ‘Ten’ and ‘Siamese Dream.’

Having said that two of my most played albums over the last year has been ‘Ten’ and ‘Siamese Dream.’ 😀

The ‘Vs’ album is really good as well.

There will be a lot of public sector workers who have to work Boxing Day, no matter how much they get paid.

I’m on double time though as it’s a PH, but no day off in lieu.

I’m in Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day and that is not out of choice.

The original video has made the BBC news.

They’re talking to the guy who filmed it now along with a retired Met Officer discussing the pros and cons to members of the public getting involved.

I’ve not not long imported a frame myself and responded on the thread above.

I’ve just paid import duty on my Steve Potts in within the last month.

I paid the following on what was marked up as bike parts (Frame, fork, bars, stem, seatpost.)

The price for the ‘parts’ was $4465 US dollars which is around £2878 (This included the postage)

My import duty and VAT was £751.82.

    Hope this helps.

On the $4465 US dollars I paid:

    £599.03 Import VAT
    £134.45 duties
    £18.34 Brokerage surcharges

    Total £751.82 GBP

The 2007 Impreza brochure reckons the boot is 401 litres, so that is larger than what Parkers said; but still not much bigger than a large hatchback or the Focus ST.

Versatility should be Impreza’s middle name. It can comfortably match the lifestyle you want with the carrying capacity you need, creating the ideal ratio of passenger to load-carrying space for every occasion. With the Sedan, that means up to 401 litres* of flat luggage space in the generous-sized trunk. In the Sports Wagon, that space opens up to a vast 1,266 litres* with the split-fold rear seats laid flat.
    *Measured by VDA V14

According to Parkers the boot on a Focus ST is 396 litres, compared to 350 litres in a Golf GTI.

Parkers reckons that an Impreza sports wagon is 365 litres.

From the Impreza’s I’ve been in and after having friends that have had them, I would say that the build quailty is much better than the numerous VW’s we’ve had.

The only difference is that the interior on a VW is a bit more plush which IMO gives the impression of increased quality.

I’ve had a Focus ST with the Volvo 5 pot engine and it was a really nice car. Pretty quick, well built and it had a nice interior and big boot for it’s size.

The prices on them have dropped massively and I reckon you could get one for £5500 to £6000 with 60 to 80k on it.

Lovely engine that doesn’t need to be rev’d hard and is just as happy driving around at low revs as it is being driven hard.

We have them in work and considering the use they get, they’ve been problem free.

I’ve known a few people with Impreza’s and Evo’s and they never kept them very long.

Their attraction seem’s to wear off pretty quick.

I think once the fuel and servicing cost’s start to hit home, their performance may become a bit less important.

Im the same as vertical climber, sure ive sent money to a louise vickers before

I’m pretty sure that I’ve sold something to a Louise Vickers over the last year. I’ve had a look through my Paypal history though and can’t find anything though.

I seem to remember filling in a recorded delivery slip in that name.

    I’ll keep looking.

I loved mine when I had my touring bike.

The friction shift option is fantastic.

The only downside I found was that my knees would sometimes knock them when out of the saddle.

Completely the opposite way around, my mate in work gave up motorcycling and took up cycling. Although he really enjoys the cycling, he does miss his motorbike and talks about it quite a bit.

I’m into both motorcycling albeit on a road bike and cycling and I would say that neither could really replace each other as they both provide different types of fun.

If you’re pretty confident on a bike, then take it for a spin; but I wouldn’t ride it without insurance.

CG125’s and YBR125’s are good bikes.

I haven’t had any personal experience of Suzuki 125’s.

I’d buy off the bike’s condition though more than the name.

We spent weeks looking at 2nd hand 125’s when my wife passed her CBT and struggled to find one that hadn’t been ragged to within an inch of it’s life or abused through pure negelect.

We ended up buying a brand new Honda 125 and getting the warranty for around £1800.

They are a bit dearer now, but we bought a CBF125

As mentioned above, I would take someone along with some riding experience.

The chances are, that someone with a bike licence and fully comp insurance will be covered 3rd party on another bike; so leaving a ‘crash’ deposit should cover any damage caused to the actual bike.

I definately wouldn’t buy without having it checked over and having someone ride it as a lot of small capacity bikes will have been ridden hard and possibly had less maintenance than the manufacturer intended.

I run a Token 12T lockring on my Hope SS hub with a Surly 18T sprocket and have had no issues.

You can get them in some cool colours as well, although I went for boring silver 🙂
