great suggestions but I'd be only selling the frame I reckon as I'm happy with the I've accumulated on the 575….

Not entirely sure, just fancy a change and weighing up my options. Bit paranoid about the carbon rear end (not that i need to be particularly) The mud clearnce ain't great either (not really putting forward a great case if I'm looking to sell it am I!)

Yeti 7 looks fooking horrible IMO! Wanna get away from a carbon rear end, has the ASR 5 got a carbon rear end?

Not entirely sure which route to go down, called halfords cycle scheme regards a tandem and the girl said that there's not anything preventing getting one but need to really work at the same place and suggested calling the local tax office and ask whether they'd be happy to let some one have a tandem tax free if they can prove they worked near one another (bit of bullshit should cover that 😉 not that I'd encourage this kind of behaviour :D) Let you know what happens

Thankyou STW massive again some great advice, I'm based near Reading so a little too far I'm afraid Rob. Should just clarify I'm after a basic tandem as there'll be no gnarly sick radness from Mrs Amos that's for sure and I was planning on strapping Baby Amos to it. My wife has a cycle to work scheme, think we may and try to take this piss and maybe use that! Not that the scheme will allow tandem purchase will be interesting trying though.

Yeti 575 mate! I've stopped looking at other bikes because mine is so good! Float 36 wound down to 140mm on the front and it's ready for anything IMO!

I use normal brake fluid (the stuff we use to build F1 cars) and that works fine, as long as it's new fluid as an open bottle will have absorbed water.

I know it says you have to have the same helmet does any one know whether that's up for discussion? It's just that I'd want a Athlon as a replacement? I guess I could sell the Zen when I received it…

Travelled with Williams on the race team for a couple of years and we have a varying amount of european workers at the factory (my boss is french and in his case all french stereotypes applicable!) Having spent time in alot of places we are all very very similar when you get out with the locals from anywhere in humour I mean, except the rest of the world is decidedly more racist than the UK IMO!! The Spanish and Chinese are terrible! I found it highly amusing that we are so sensored with our opinions yet most cultures don't give a rats ass and just tell it how it is. My mother in law is Chinese Malay and her rants about "bloody imagrants" are brilliant (she clearly isn't a imigrant in her opinion)

This is great cheers STW massive. I'm probably going to look for a Chalet in Alp d'heuz think I'll need the comfort after throwing myself down a fookin huge mountain!

I'm running an 2008 575 with a carbon rear end and fox float 36's up front is this a suitable bike? I'm thinking it should be cock on! Keep the tips and experiences coming makes great raeding.

    Thanks Mat

I run a high roller up front with a larsen TT on the rear seems just about perfect in most condiions, was spot on for Afan the other (very wet) weekend.

I bought a Yeti 575 this year, whilst waiting delivery I borrowed one for a day in Cwmcarn, it was terrible!! Hated the thing wouldn't grip up hill felt crap down hill, i spent more time pushing (and swearing). Too late to cancel my order I built mine up admittedly with a fox 36 wound down to 140mm instead of revs and all my other bits and I can truly say it's the best bike I ever ridden (and my god I've had a few!) So IMO just faff with setup it's amazing even the smallest adjustments really make a difference every aspect of riding! Just carry a trail tool with the relevant allen keys.
