If I start Uni I will stick to it, I'm not one to drop out or give up.

Yes I know that, I am currently working in a very corporate company and I know just how hard it is to get in and stay in. I had 3 interviews as an intern.

How do I choose which degree to do? I studied maths, physics and economics. Out of those I didn’t enjoy maths, but I am giving it another go and hopefully will enjoy it this time. I am even doing it on weekends. Physics I found interesting but it is something I like to read up about myself and not necessarily do as a degree, I think the fact I didn't enjoy maths also meant I didn't end up enjoying physics as much as I should have. Economics I did enjoy and it is linked to accounting and finance, but I am not sure whether I would like to do any of them for four years.

I'm 19 going on 35. My immediate thought is that my current internship ends at the end of this academic year, there may be a possibility that I could stay on as I feel I am a valid member of the team and I think my current boss feels the same way. If I did apply for a lower level job I think my experience would stand me in good stead, especially above college leavers and maybe some degree students, but I'm left climbing the ladder which is meant to be hard with no degree. On the other hand the current climate suggests that hiding in university for four year is possibly the right thing to do.

Funding is not a huge issue, I have worked and saved since I turned 13 and reckon I have just enough money to fund university with an extra few grand borrowed from my parents, which I will have to pay back. I think that my current life style means I could happily do my own studying and complete a university course with a good grade at the end, as long as I chose one that I find it interesting.

To be perfectly honest I would love to be a sports man, which is where my passion lies. But I don’t have the balls or possibly the encouragement to quit everything and give it 100%, I’m sure many people here know that feeling.

I'm currently working in relation to carbon capture at longannet and it is very interesting, but my god does it cost a lot! It could be the future and currently being looked at by china and their new coal powerstations.

There is currently a consortium looking into going Nuclear but the problems now are pressure groups and planning permission. CCS and nuclear look very promising.

Spend £1-2k on an older estate car. Chuck the bike in the back, drive it untill it dies or you get bored then do the same again.

    Get a volvo, Audi etc.

Drink water or orange squash and take a few gells if I get really hungry and out of energy. Currently using SIS but might try another type soon.

Me! Car is in dry storage in another part of the country. I live in the city and don't need to go far. If I do then I take a train normally with my bike too.

I run with orthotics, it shouldn't make a difference apart from the blisters. It does sound like laces to me.

Sounds silly but are your laces to tight?

What ever you do, do not train! I did this during the summer preparing for triathlons, I ended up out for 7 weeks and didn't do well in the races I raced.

Feet up, have a rest, get better then train back up to the level you were at. You will make it far worse if you train ill.

Used it for a holiday to Turkey, they gave great advise and we ended up having a brilliant time. I would use it again.

If your looking for a nice pub West end is good. Which is a tube ride away from the centre. If you want to die or are a student then sauchiehall street is where you want. If you are looking for somewhere classier and more formal the royal exchange is good. Social animal are always nice but more pricy. Horse shoe is full of old men and funny singers.

I've never been to Ben Nevis but at all costs avoid Yates and the classrooms. Just wonder around, there isn't any trouble and people will point you to decent places. Also avoid the bottom of Salt Market road, that is very dodgy.

Northwind you are right, but lots of people take that risk. I'm not saying you should.

125 2 strokes are pretty hefty on fuel too. I get few an 8 litre tank in a few hours if I'm hammering it off road and it's not far off that on road.

Aprilia 125 road bikes can have the nuts tuned off them; I've known them to hit over 120mph. You just need to be able to replace the rings occasionally. They aren't that much to buy and are 2 stroke so have an awesome power band, it’s also great fun tuning them yourself and you learn about bikes. They really are a lot of fun and should do you fine. My down geared Husky 125 manages to hit 80mph but it is pretty kitted out with mx goodies.

The most important thing is drainage or they will never be able to ride them, where ever they have dips put in buried drilled drain pipes that funnel into a drainage ditch. Put in as many drainage ditches as you can.

Don't ride them when they are too wet. You will destroy them and not get enough speed.

Its fine, it makes me cycle faster. Everyone is very chilled, they have a lot of cyclists on the route 75 (which is the best close TT road in the world) and they have a mountain bike centre quite near.

In fact the locals are so nice, two helped me out with my puncture. One gave me a patch and another gave me a tube. It would have been a lonely walk back without people like that.

I think they don't like it because they can't pull it off, bear bellied football pansies. (They can't get me here 😀 )

Thank god they won, so the fans were in a happy mood.
