I swear by my husky. Awesome bikes, they are all you want for a green laner. The 250 2ts have some beans and the 4ts are very nice to ride. They have decent spec and parts aren’t as bad to get hold of as people make out. Husky sport are the importers and are really great guys.

she no longer has the plastic bit and is driving a bit ropy. I need to redo the points and give her a good tune, probably put her away for the winter too.

Meaning that the husky 125 is quite down on power copaired to the KTM 250 and the Jap 4 strokes. So I would have thought you would have been doing well to be quicker than a 250 4T unless they have done something incredable with the WR125 to make it a whole heap faster than the cr125.

My mates bikes isn't a KTM 250,the KTM 250 is a lot faster and one fun bike, his bike is slightly older Suzuki. It probably isn't as quick as the CR as the CR is an out and out crosser not an enduro bike, but it will certainly thrash a Yamaha DT or and Honda XR. It is ridden on a full licence and has a racing exhaust and plugs.

    Pigface – I have a Husky 125, it's quicker than my mates 250 4 stroke.

As quick at the KTM, and it pisses over all the Jap bikes.

Yes! I have done it three times and it is the most awesome thing you will ever do! I ended up doing a 20m rock jump into a plunge pool and going down some amazing natural water slides. I went twice in Turkey and once in southern France. Make sure the people know what they are doing and make sure you don't go on a tame root (that would be really rubbish). Hire a wetsuit or you will freeze, good luck!

(they're drunken tarts with too much make-up, shouting insults at passers by outside a football pub at 1am on a sunday morning)

    Maybe that's what I like 😉

I live in Glasgow; West End is very nice and good for going out. If you want something near the city and slightly quieter south side is nice (Cathcart isn’t that bad, I’d avoid the river, and football areas). Merchant city is good if you want the party life but expensive and noisy. Bearsden is also good but you need a car. If you want somewhere cheap and revamped gorbals isn't bad (it used to be a lot worse!) Avoid govan, ibrox, parkhead & maryhill. Outside Glasgow avoid port Glasgow, greenock but Largs isn't bad but that is a bit of a drive. Sorry to be rude but where are you working?

I personally really like michelin pro race 3 but I know a lot of others like Conti. Both are decent. Get a decent set of tyre and don't skimp too much it makes a big difference.

Basso & Menchov (If he can stay on his bike) will be strong in the rest of the mountains. Contador and Schleck are in league of their own. Taxi for Armstrong or will he be able to magically 'recover' on the rest day?

Have a friend who lives in Sheepskin near Stroud, he loves it. Tiny wee village. Much better than Stroud itself.

Travel the depths of Eastern Europe, Russia, Nepal, Tibet then where ever else I fancied. Write a decent diary on the way, then get that pubished and inspire people to do the same.

Grow old and buy a vinyard in Italy or France, produce great wine, read lots of books and spend the day in the sun on the road bike going up the Dolimites or Pyrenees. Watching the great tours go past, with someone I love and die happy.

Private sector, 16 redundancies announced last friday. I'm a contractor so I imagine I'm going too!

Company makes over £200m profit in the first 5 months too.

The tests are done in Southampton Lab by a Dr. Susan O'Connor. Lyme groups in UK have been complaining about her for years, as she never finds any of them positive, despite some of them (who can afford to) getting positive results from USA.
Then to add insult to injury no NHS doc will treat them on the results obtained from the USA.

I have had lymes disease; I was very young and cannot remember it very well. But my granny has it very badly and for approximately the last 15 years.

My grandad is doctor and has dedicated his retirement to researching lymes disease and new treatments available. He is quite highly regarded and has a huge number of contacts. If you need any information I can give him a bell and he would be more than happy to send you some stuff over. If I recall he has already sent a lot of information to another STW member.

Apparently it was a puncture and he bumped his head but is ok. They took him to the hospital for a check up; he's an old man now! Really bad luck, I was so hoping the Mansell car would reach the chequered flag.
