Aw man, me I’m a technician, but the Amb version though would argue againt the earlier comment that we don’t work much out ( or words to that effect, can’t be bothered going back to check, was prob a firey that made it anyway-ooooo, joke!)
Sad to get to the end of this wee thread, always appreciated engineering, engines, buildings etc..
I’ve never really been one to bother with titles much, unless it means I’ll receive bit less money than I feel I should- thank you agenda for change!!
    Sorry, little bit ot there..

That bloke needs to spend less time in the studio and more time outside riding his bike!!
I have a single wee tat on my shoulder that I’m happy with, was thinking of getting “I’d rather ride my bike” on the opposite shoulder but for some reason, the wife isn’t happy with it.. Hmm.

Mine has been fine so far, late 2009 frame. Not riding as much as I used to but when I do I like hitting stuff..
Make sure the back brake is faced and fitted properly tho as it yelps like a bitch unless it’s on straight..
Cracking bike. Replaced my well ridden enduro.. Go for it!

Lola up 3 in one. Folds with one hand, we got the m and p car seat (needs adaptors tho) to go with it as it gets better reviews. Tyres are solid and not the biggest although ok for the stuff we did folds one handed although not with carry cot or car seat in it and folding mechanism eats into the underwear storage area a bit.
We’re using a different pram now but based in Glasgow if you like nearby and wanna try it in the boot of your car? Guessing the shops should let u do this before you buy anything tho.
Couldn’t believe the prices at first though.. Crazy stuff!

If it’s a small room with decent ceiling height you’d maybe just get away with some wooden battens and a single sheet of plasterboard.. Bit fiddly getting it cut, if more than one sheet you’d need to fill the joints and poss use sealant round the edge to make it look good. Would still easier than trying to skim the full thing yourself.
Plastering is a dark art.. I’ve tried doing it a few times now.. Ceilings are worse as you need to get your mix just right..
I would go with plasterboard and filling the joints.. Use a specific joining compound plaster, comes up nicer than patching plaster. Don’t bother trying to the whole thing!!
Not an expert by any means but have put up a few stud walls and repaired a few water damaged ceilings.
Give me a shout if you need any advice..

6th dead on and ride a large. Same leg size. Large is fine for me, run an 80mm stem and dont think I have massively long arms or anything.
Up in glasgow so might be a tad far for you to have a go!

Watching “made in Britain” on bbc2… Talking about med students..
Can I take it there’s no glut of med students then? I know their course structure is different but is this a problem for them once they’ve finished their 5 years? Or do a large enough amount of them choose not to work in the Nhs and there’s enough turnover that there’s enough demand for the others?
Just thinking about uni type courses where you used to finish and pretty much get a job fairly easily once you’ve qualified/graduated?

On the subject, how do you quote someone?
Looked in forum help and doesn’t say anything about it..
Do you just select [\quote] then drop something into that that you’ve cut and pasted from a prev posting?

One of the guys in the station’s wife just qualified as a midwife and had to go down south to get her first job. She looked at bank work here first (Glasgow) but was scuppered by the six month thing. She really likes it down there, but is ultimately doing it so she can get on the bank here..
I’m in the ambulance service and apparently we’re getting A LOT of applications from newly qualified nurses at the mo.. Seems to be a problem for a lot of the “vocational” graduates.. We seem to be training up tons of nurses, teachers etc but there’s nowhere near the same levels of jobs available that there were a few years ago..
Bit of a joke that the unis are still taking in the same amount of folk but there’s hardly any jobs for them when they qualify!

I use photobucket after someone here recommended it. Simple to use, nice and quick. A nice wee free app.
All you need to do is upload the image from your device (iphone4 in my case) go to the pic on photobucket, then info and copy the img code, then paste it on the text box on the forum. Easy.

If you’re locking it up put a lock thru the bannister as well as the uprights. The uprights are usually made of cast iron thaw brittle. One good hit with a hammer and the shear pretty easy. The wooden bannister at least takes a bit of time to saw thru!

When the pub and or funeral parlour count exceeds five in a mile long stretch.
Ladies and gents, I give you Shettleston in the East end of Glasgow! Where you are more likely to die a premature death than anywhere else in the uk, prob of a heart attack.
Duckman, I think I might have been in that close!!

Are Yeti boutique? Think they prob used to be thought as, but maybe not now? Poss due to them moving production to Taiwan or something?.. anyways, I have one, it wasn’t cheap (no way was I paying full retail tho), and I don’t think I’ve seen any whilst at GT and other trail centres..
I’m v happy with it so guess I’m not too bothered if it is boutique or not!

Also on a 575, I only switch it off on the downs.. Mind you I run the shock with a bit less air in it so it’s plush..
Just a preference I guess. I ride a mixed combo of natural xc trails and centres: GT, Inners etc..
