There is obv stuff yhat has been going on that we are not fully aware of.. I’m guessing the OP has tried to sort the situation out and poss come to an arrangement with the tenant. . If nothing else for purely financial reasons..I have a lot of sympathy for you but am unable to offer much detailed ingo that might help.
Can someone explain why they changed the payment method as it seems to be causing similar problems on a national scale!!

10months is hell of a long time. Ive had to evict someone who was blatantly ripping the piss-he went to a homeless charity and we ended up having to pay lawyers to do it. He stayed rent free in the flat for almost 9 months.. asked the charity about the fact he hadnt paid any rent and funnily enough he hadnt told them.
Aye its a business and youre taking risks but if you pinched somethingnout a shop you’d be charged for it and have a criminal record but rip off a money grabbing capitalist landlord and its fine..
Im assuming the op has been fairly decent with regards to dealing with the tenant and trying to get the unpaid rent btw.. I know we gave the guy every opportunity to pay us, let him go a month without, then pay up arrears, etc..

The look on Phil Jupitus’s face convinced me it wasnt scripted..
He was acting like a moody teenager.. used to think he was a bit of a dude but not any more.. ****.

His number 2 has been getting involved in his absence but I’m sure we’ll hear from him at some point soon regarding it all. Already admitted I’m a yes supporter so will be interesting to hear his take on it.

Zokes- my apologies.. you forgot the :-)!
Wrecker-it whiffs of being condescending at best, threatening at worst. Reminds me a bit of the tactics used in the 70s and hindsight shows we were shafted back then..
On one hand the clyde is being hailed by westminster as the best place to build the T26s, but on the other hand, should we become independant you can forget it..funny how fickle folk can be.
I imagine that if there wasn’t a referendum next year this discussion would be a lot different..

Thats always been my concern with my ankles- both pinned and plated a few years ago.
Those do sound innocuous though right enough! Perhaps a zip would be a good idea.

What was the script with Trident/Devonport then? The fact thst its too dangerous to have armed subs there because of the risk to the population but its ok to have them parked just down the road from Glasgow?

Never was that bothered about it when I lived on my own-saw the family on the day, swapped presents and had a big dinner and that but apart from having a few more nicer things at the end of it was usually just another normal day.
Married now with two young un’s who all love it, I love seeing them happy so in that respect, it makes me happy.
Only now I’ve got two families to visit on the same day and all the crap that goes along with that.. plus I get quite brassed off at how much it all costs..

Suppose its a good thing that the Portsmouth site will be kept open in some form as Ben rightly says..
    Y’know, just in case like..

Suprised initially but its a canny move by Westminster.. I know there are some sound business arguments for keeping the Scottish yards open but when you think that their only work comes from defense contracts these days it’s pretty hard to doubt that Westminster didn’t influence the decision. Feel bad for the workers at Portsmouth though.
I did hear the Scottish Secretary state during an interview quite blatantly that no decision would be made on the new destroyers till after the referendum result.
Whiffs a bit really- there there, we’ve let you keep both your shipyards open and heres a few patrol vessels to keep you going for a bit but you can forget about the destryers if you vote no..
I’m pro-independance and know that the Indy campaign are saying at least if we vote yes we’ll deffo need 60 odd vessels to make up a navy (as opposed to possibly getting the new destroyers if we vote no) but I doubt very much that they’ll all be bought and paid for until long after Scotland gets its independence..
    Hmmm.

Its a pita but when the lights are that cheap I cant complain too much. Even if the batteries are crap its still miles cheaper than buying some of the mainstream brands..

    althepal

Just not massively impressed.. fine the lights are popular but why still have them on the website for sale?
I dont mind waiting two or three weeks for the light, but I am annoyed at the fact they took my money off me without any mention of the fact they dont have any of the lights in the first place, to make matters worse theyre now starting to tell porkies about when they’ll have them back in stock!

Still the same but guessing it’ll be a nightmare now the Hydros on the go but you seem to have been before so you’ll know that already.. I usually try and park up at Argylr st/St Vincent street.. takes you a few more minutes to walk back to the car but then less traffic to get through on the way back to thr M8 at charing cross.

Ordered with Lightmalls and no major issues. Ordered a yinding light from fasttech and no indication initially of any probs but when checking my order status I realised it was “restocking”. Not advised of this at all-sent a query asking why still available on their site to order but none in stock and after a bit they admitted that they were having probs sourcing the light and could swap if I wanted. Looked at their website and asked about another light but by then they’d told me that it would be in stock by the 5th Nov.. checked yesterday and the instock date has moved back a few days again so not happy..would not recommend them based on my experience.
And thats before it even gets posted!!

Cheers Brant- just thinking a few different views on the website would be good- side/top/rear views.. and poss one showing the inside with straps and retention adjustment. £40 does seem a decent price and having bough on-one stuff before I dont doubt the quality or value but I’d just rather see a bit more of it before I’d buy it.

Would be nice to see it a bit better before taking a punt.. ok, its only £40 but if its hot and not very comfy its£40 that could have been spent elsewhere..

A question for those with the Fandyfire d99.. is it much cop? I had ordered the Op’s light from FastTech.com but although its still for sale on their website on checking my order I noticed its status was restocking. After checking with them they’ve admitted that its out of stock as they cant get the lights at the mo and are looking for new suppliers. They’ve advised they should have them in the next week so happy enough to wait for now but they did ask if I wanted to cancel or change my order…
Is the Fandyfire d99 any good? The casing doesnt seem to look quite as good as the yindling light. Had ordered an x2 solarstorm and happy with the light’s performance but the quality of the casing on my light doesnt look as good as those that others posted on here.
Can any owners of the d99 share their experiences please?

Broke the biggest pinkie bone last week.. plaster cast for a week and now taped and splinted.
Pinkie curled round and pointing away from the other fingers..
Worried that the splint isnt really holding it straight while it heals..

Once my Pinkie heals Id be happy driving up from Glasgow for a ride, esp in the Cairngorms.. only done a wee bit around Aviemore.
Duckman.. close but no tenner! Abertay?? We werent that posh in those days, although it wasnt long in coming. Was a Ninewells man for a bit till I moved to Murray Royal in Perth. Sigh.

The points about Dundee/Scotland are true.. lived in Dundee a fair while back then moved to Perth for a bit afterwards. Perth is a bit smaller, bit more of a village mentality and prob quite a high impression of itself but it has its shitty bits like everywhere else. Dundee was a bit crazy when I lived there 20 years ago but even thenit had some great pubs and a good music scene.. been back a fair few times over the years and the city centre seems a much nicer place to be. A lot of good changes happening although apparently the Jimmy Shand pub closed a few years ago! Gutted.

All the shopkeepers on the Ramblas constantly warned us about our bags and wallets but didnt have any problems.. I did keep a sharp eye out though. Would exercise caution there and the on the wee streets and alleys between there and the back of the cathedral..
A coupla lads in the hostel we stayed at were apparently held up at gunpoint beside a cashpoint they were using after dark and my in-laws had a bag stolen on the underground just before the doors closed but I had no problems the week I was there. Was a skint backpacker though so might not have looked like rich pickings..
As for wearing expensive jewellery? ? Really? Come on.

I’ve heard that window cleaners and gutter cleaning type folk have been known to drop tennis balls and drinks cans down gutter downpipes so they block not long after requiring a further visit. Can then be removed thus magically solving the problem.. told this by a telephone engineer whos pulled a few out over the years apparently.

Fairly sure you could get that light for less than half that price.. mind you the batteries and charger you’d get with it would possibly be half as good if not less..
Do a search for lights/solarstorm/yindling and see what you can get for around the £30 to £50 bracket.
Some will be uk sellers, some you might need to wait a coupla weeks for them to come from the far east.
