My mate had one of those racks on his classic mini.. Cracking thing but wobbled about a bit with 2 bikes on.. Ended up make a wee brace that clipped onto the top of the bootlid..
Just sold my 1.6 focus 5 doer, and have bought… Another 1.6 5 door focus.
Just a bit newer, better trim and said heated screen so all good. Recon next on will be an s-max or galaxy..

Zafiras are very good but at that age I think the whole middle bench slides back and forward as a whole so poss not quite as good as a Galaxy where the seats can come out individually..
Mondeo estates are ace, whatever the age, newer ones are decent to drive too.
Out and out space-wise I’d prob go for a galaxy over a mondeo.. Or consider the slightly rarer seat or be options..

Used to have that problem and dropping my wrists snd shifting weight forward on the saddle always helped..

Traded up from an 04 enduro to my 575 for a similar reason..
Wanted something a bit tougher/more downy but still fairly light and able to climb.
575 fitted the bill perfectly, still does.
Shame I only get to use it properly two or three times a month these days (commuting doesn’t count but hey, it’s all riding I guess!)

575 would be a chunk of weight lighter in guessing? Prob not quite as burly either..
As above- what’s your intended use?
I traded up to a 575 from an 04 enduro and love it!

The tyres can make a difference but think front wheel washouts are more down to technique probs.
Elbows up and out, weight more over the front end and body position on the bike as you move in the corner..

Some nice wee bits up there- freeflowbikes used to do Thursday night rides up there and was shown some tricky wee bits that are fun- a bit gnarr for my tastes but the ones I had a go at were fun!
Good view from the carpark and pretty isolated so can imagine why it’s popular at night!

Had the same prob with Roval traversees.. Evans weren’t able to set them up tubeless they were so tight..
I had to buy 3 metal tyre levers to get the tyre back on to change a tube a few weeks back – nightmare!

Was working tonight without a uniform top on for a bit.. Bearing in mind the weather this made me very happy!
Edit- can I just say I was wearing a plain white tshirt that we usually have on under our uniform top before anyone thinks I was going for a jog or anything!!
