Used to be like that till I changed jobs to something I like..
Oh aye, I start on a Thursday so as far as I’m concerned it’s Thursday night!! (although I’m off today also..)

Think the first times always a hassle? Guess some tyres are just too porous for it to work maybes?
Think the hassle will be worth it though I can’t speak for the wheels where the rim strip has to be built right up to get a seal.

6ft with a large. Feel a bit stretched sometimes but it’s a great bike..

I have Roval traverse ELs (rim tape fitted as new and apparently a tubeless friendly run) and had similar issues..
Front went on no probs, back still proving a bit of a pain.
Front RR went on and into the bead without too much trouble, rear took a bit of pulling and squashing but on ok after a fair bit of hard pumping but just would not hold air! Considered a ghetto inflater but managed in the end.
Rear valve (non removable core/presta valve) leaks a bit now- tightened it as much as I dare with pliers, still a slight leak but the fluid seems to have sealed it!
Anyways. It’s a pita but I’m just about converted now.

You could always use your bike with your nice new saddle to get about?
Seriously, she took your card from you??

Can we just go back to moaning bout the ‘limpics?
I was being tongue in cheek.. Had 7 hours of it from my mate at work the other night after her and her MIL fell out about it!!
    Edit- I was first- woohoo!!

It’s a fair point PP! Seems like the general attitude of the bikers on here is that if a bike can potentially do 180 then 100 is fine.. Cos you all know what you’re doing.

I agree. It just seemed like he was allowed to refer to them as German ships in the introduction but after that they were the enemy fleet apart from the odd occassion when he let slip about the Gerry u-boats machine gunning survivors.
    made me laugh..
Fit- apart from the subs all the ships had humans in them I thought. One of them was even a woman (but the announcer stated we shouldn’t hold that against her!!)

Finally managed to get along to Naval warfare this summer after years of wanting to!
Loved the old guy who compared it. He wasn’t very pc and occasionally forgot that the enemy subs shouldnt be referred to as the German silent killers any more. Only added to it tho IMO..

You mean the union flag, surely??
It’s funny cos a colleague at work gave me the full story at work last night!

New or used? Used- check the classifieds for hope pro2 or better. there’s always bargains to be had!
Hmm, new- I’m guessing folk on here can suggest some stuff..
I got my Roval traverse ELs new for a bargain price at Christmas after someone posted up a PSA on here!
Edit: forgot about superstar for new ones.. Not sure about them myself as I dont have any experience. Reports on here vary from poor to great. Prices seemed good when I was looking 7 months ago though- oh aye, on-one might have some bargains too!

NW- think that’s what I have too.. Still seem to be going up ok tho!
Andy- seem to have the hang of it now, as long as both beads are in the centre recess I can just about get them on by hand!
    Mboy- noted. Thanks.

Hang on, no mortgage and return of £750 a month? Er £9k a year less maintenance, insurance etc..
Call it £8.2k a year.. Hmm. Off the top of my head say you get an interest rate of 3.5% on your savings (sounds good to me but not got a clue if realistic..) you’d be looking at £7k return a year. If she’s got good tenants it sounds like she’s better off renting the house out- even if it’s just for a few more years till the market picks up again.. No?

Fluid bought, front went on a doddle, took 5 mins.
Back had some tears in the rim strip from my cack- handed attempts to fit with tubes.. Patched those and got the tyre on ok but not holding air brilliantly. Lots more shaking to distribute the fluid seems to have helped- waiting to see how we get on with that.
So far though quite impressed! Plus saving best part of 1Ib in weight from the tubes.. Wowser.

Had a look at a few today. Had written them off prev but having had a good look at a few today they don’t seem too bad for the price.
Can’t comment on how they’d handle a downpour tho, sorry.

Er.. I just set mine up as per the guide but with a bit less pressure cos I like it to move a fair bit.
I’m sure there’s an order you need to set it all tho can’t remember.. I run my negative air about 5psi less than positive.
Edit-mine are fixed at 150- not sure if that makes much of a difference..

I could not believe the lengths we had to go to to sell our old flat.
Everything painted, all the wee jobs done, cat got sent away, tons of stuff put in storage. We were lucky that it was only a few years old and all tiled or laminate otherwise would prob have got new carpets! And this was about 5 years ago when things were still going ok.
My wife’s an IFA and it was her that drove it onwards/nagged me to keep it clean and tidy..
In the current climate itll have to be pristine to compete- is it a decent area? How old?
Second the point about checking others prices, should tell you if your friend’s price is realistic.

Had a wee shot in a 2 yr old 110 slightly modded..
I’ve always wanted a landy but I have to say I wasn’t impressed, poor room in the front- almost slammed the door on myself! Very agricultural, more play in the steering than I would have thought was legal, and the off road tyres didn’t like the tarmac very much!

    That said, I loved it!!

Nigh on 20 years ago. Quite a good pic considering it was on a compact. Snapped an engine mount and gubbed the fuel cut off switch on landing that one. Was prob the 2nd or 3rd go at it!

Usually I would say saddle, seatpost, bars and stem to start with..always thought the older giant stuff was heavy- I’m sure you could look it all up on weight weenies to compare with more modern stuff..
That way you wouldnt have to take things of and weigh them..
I would also recommend using the classifieds as a good way of getting decent second hand bits- upgraded most of my bikes over the years that way..
    Plus- carbon just looks nice!!

6 ft with a 32/33″ leg and a large is fine with me!
Longer in the TT than the 04 enduro it replaced but its all good!

It is a bit samey but its well done. sideways jump is good, love the slow-mos over the crests- nice to see the bodywork moving about a bit on landing..
Was looking at that and ended up watching the xgames 2012 rallycross- Block managed a 2nd place after driving 3 laps with a blown out tyre at the back, bonkers.
Although not as bonkers as the crash one of the drivers had before they made the jump a tabletop!

Behind/in front of the kiddie seat- tonnes of room there surely?
(having done similar myself in our focus..)
Roof box for the remaining barspace up top? Would prob take a load out of the boot? That’s our plan for when no 2 arrives in September..

You don’t drive a Saab do you?

Will they not just fit in the boot?
