We’ve got a brittax rear facing seat for our three year old. Seatbelt goes over under and back out other side so base is held secure. Top braces against the underside of the front seat head-rest, and there’s anchor straps that tie onto the rear floor mounts for the front seats. Think itll last another 9 months to a year tops before our lad can’t fit his legs in, then they can be used front facing I believe.
It sounds complicated but we usually have it fitted in our car only and fitting is quick once you’ve done it a few times.
It has its slight downsides but it very solid in use.. Was also a lot cheaper than other rear facers for his age..
Will try and find a pic..
Edit- this one- britax 2way elite. Gets very good reviews..

Age range up to four apparently..

Ok. Speak to the friendly local copper- if you have one…
If you do that, he has a word and your brother isn’t receptive- well you’ve shopped him already anyway..

Shop him. I know it’s your brother and that but honestly, better he gets caught not doing it if you know what I mean..

I’ve heard there’s a path that leads from the top of Runway to the hill that’s to the left of the car park at the top of the Tak Ma Doon road..
I’ve always fancied a wee run up that hill..

I had a Tamia escort cossie back in the day..
Got some money unexpectedly and spent a whack of it on that- £200 which back in the day was a fair amount!
Lost it at some point years ago- loved it- was great fun..

Been quite a few clutch failures- search on here or google for clutch mech problems.
I bought and fitted a new XT one, set up properly, pedalled round the room and realised it wasn’t keeping the chain taut in smaller cogs.
There’s guides about how to increase the clutch tension but I didn’t want to faff about too much in case I did any more damage. Sent it back and after crc sent it back to the distributer for inspection I was sent a new one..
Hoping this one lasts a bit longer than 30secs round my locker room!

New mech received today- hoping to fit it tomorrow and get a ride in ASAP!

Good effort! Exit point could look better but fair play for giving it a go.
Teardrop/angled exit point would look better but appreciate that could weaken a tube- maybe someone from on here could advise of a way to do it without causing structural probs- Ben Cooper perhaps??

V8- we’ve had clutches go at less than 5k on 12 plate wagons… Peugeots though!
Edit- and oil leaks, fuel leaks, and doors falling off.

Email today from large Irish retailer. Replacement mech being sent out tomorrow after the the old one was sent back to the distributer- I too also wonder how many have broken?

Would have thought it would have to go to a closing date if there was more than one offer? It’s in their interests to get the best price..?
Unless the estate agent is (cough) keeping it in-house (cough).

Put the tyre on, pump it quicly to get the bead on, either inject the sealant through the valve if the cores removable, or jus pop a small section of the tyre, put Stans in then pump hard to get the bead back on and then slosh it around to seal it all.
I managed it fairly easily with standard nobby nics on my Roval wheels doing the above.
Edit- they came with rim strips already fitted btw..

I’d thought about a puma for a bit- apart from the obvious rot issues on the rear arches I’ve only heard good things..
Fiesta running gear, the 1.7 engine (was it Yamaha or someone jap maybe?) is supposed to be a wee peach, and can be had fairly cheap- might be enough to lure me away from my main mlc car- a classic mini.
Can anyone advise if you can get a full susser in the back with the seats folded?

Glupton- was off all weekend- none of us got out the house till Sunday, and even then we were gubbed when we got back!
Not local- I feel your pain! But I suppose its to be expected when there’s so much nonsense going on in that respect- I should be ok as is my first for over a year but some folk don’t seem to bother/care and get away with all sorts of shit!

My wife and I have debated this- how much would we have to win to really change our lives?
Half a mil? Prob not much of a change.. Pay off our mortgage, get the loft done, sort out family members, big party, new car and a holiday maybe? Good lump sum in the bank for kids/our retirement.. We’d still have to work though!
So, realistically, we’d need about £1.5 mil upwards to be able to give up work and live the life of Reilly!
Apart from anything else, I quite enjoy my work, so would probably miss it after a while.
Edit- by life changing we meant give up work btw..

Makka pakka makka pakka makka pakka etc- in the night garden.
Will that do for now? Not sure about recording them- I’m sure someone will be along shortly that can help with that!

Was off sick this weekend. Wife and sons had a vomiting bug on Thursday, I caught it late on Thursday into Friday- wiped out on Friday and Saturday and only really back to normal last night/ this morning.
Felt bad about calling in sick but was gubbed and would prob have have given it to my workmates and possibly the patients so don’t feel that bad!
Annoys me when folk in work plan their sicknesses for the year ahead though!

Is that a cassette/radio at the bottom of that dashboard.. I mean cockpit?
On seeing the closeups of the cockpit (lol) it really looks like a mock-up..
Can’t see any way of the canopy staying clamped closed for a start, then there’s the apparent lack of radar in the nose, throttles etc..
