Had a similar problem a coupla months ago with the reflux versions cos Gaviscon were being dicks..
Not that it’s the first time they’ve been accused of withholding product to keep demand high!

Like I said above- not suggesting they fight the fire, just they might have had some means to fight it in its very early stages.. Haven’t suggested that they would even do so!
Have deliberately not walked into smoke filled tenement close before due to the risks posed- DRA, CYA etc..
Mind you, the fact I have asthma and I could see some of your colleagues tearing along the road from half a mile away might have had something to do with it too..
Risk to life? Thankfully I’ve not really had to make that decision yet in my career. Not had to deal with any crisp ones yet either. (Phew).
By “they being utilised” I meant the extinguishers, not the crew.

I wasn’t for a second suggesting that they don BA and yellow firey hats, rope in a scene safety person and set up inner and outer cordons whilst gamely tackling the fire (you’d need at least 2 tender’s worth for that?)just that they could have poss been utilised in the early stages, perhaps by the owner?
It did make some sad noises though didn’t it?
Must have been a pita for the fireys getting past all that stationary traffic- that kinda thing gets on my wick sometimes..

Hmm, remind me to fit proper cut off and an extinguisher into my next old mini!
Shame that, seen a fiesta go up in similar fashion once- when the petrol cap went there was a nice 10 foot jet of flame.. Glad I stayed we’ll back!
Did I hear one of the guys saying it was smoking a bit when he was driving? Wtf would you not have pulled over immediately and checked it out? Apart from/because of the fact it’s an old Lamborghini obviously..
Was that an ambulance crew spectating for most of it? They’d have had a couple of powder extinguishers in their wagon..

Had similar a similar problem with mine about ten months in- what was said above is true. Guessing orange will tell you to go into the apple store- your wife will be out ten minutes later with an as-new phone. I’m not convinced its a brand new phone- prob more likely a refurb one- albeit one that looks brand new.
I really couldn’t fault the service though, the guy backed it up for me, did a few things on his own iPhone type device, took a “new” phone out of a plain white box (of which there were dozens in the drawer), pressed a few more buttons on his big iPhone thing and handed me my new phone which had everything on it, my prev phone log, contacts, music and even my browsing history.. A bit scary but very slick and deffo impressive.

Which is? The divisions between different sections of our society, the ‘I’m ok and nothing else matters way of life’ or the politics of division that she was so good at and our current regime is foisting onto us?
    Honestly- just interested.
I’m aware there was bad, and poss some good parts to her legacy but you’ve seemed fairly balanced in your views so I’m interested in your opinion. It helps that its nearly five am and the alternative is a sociology essay still needing to be done..

    Life sometimes really sucks!
Anyways, good on you for trying, but maybe the fact you were making the jump to a new area just meant you weren’t 100% the candidate they thought you were.. Any way to get some relevant experience before you have another go?

Our second wee one was a few weeks early (so not really early at all) and was in SCBU for a week.
Was pretty emotional seeing him in there but on the way out after my first time in there I made the mistake of looking at some of the thank you cards on the wall. Saw plenty that were a similar weight to the wee one of your step bro’s,possibly even less.. Walked out crying like a baby, then cried again when I went back in and realised how relatively well ours was.. Did a lot of crying that day.
Doing a wee bit just now thinking about it..jeezo.
Anyways, the nurses (and doctors) in these places really are just amazing- hoping for a positive outcome and all fingers staying crossed- keep us posted on the wee ones progress.

I’m 6 foot and ride a large. Not got monkey arms or anything and its fine for me.
Can be a touch unwieldy in tight turns but is nice and stable when going downhill.
Noticed it being bigger than the large Enduro it replaced but nothing major. Didn’t test a medium at the time so might have got away with that. At 6’1″ I reckon you should be fine as long as you’re happy with the TT length.
Have you sat on one or even just pedalled it round the car park?

I used to work in insurance and saw a lot of claims where the corner of the doors had been peeled back. Also had a lot where there were padlock and hasps on the corners- either onto the bottom of the frame or to the ground- and those were just snipped or sawed and again the corners peeled up.
Have heard of folk using scaffolding poles vertically at either end of the door to stop it being peeled but that would make the door a lot heavier and poss mess with the balance/raising and lowering.
Think the shoot bolts into the door frame at the bottom corners are good, as long as the door is tight up to the frame- means there’s less room to get a lever in and jemmy them- they’re also hard to cut as there’s nothing on the outside really to breach!

It’s not politics of envy- he’s behind the benefit cuts and said on live tv he could live on that amount per week.
Its not like the petition will have any impact on the policy, but hopefully it’ll publicly humiliate him and help highlight how isolated he is from real poverty.
Does make me wonder what treats the condems will pull out the bag before the next election to try and get themselves re-elected. Not that they actually were in the first place tho!

A bit old school for my tastes but still mildly amusing if not verging on slapstick.
Ill be the first then, the answer is yes.

Ouch- doesn’t sound pleasant! If it was me and I had good reason to be dissapointing I guess I’d be looking for a full refund.. If the seller had sold it at a price I’d be ok about paying for the postage back as long as I getting a full refund- the seller has already paid for postage once if you know what I mean?
Prob just a matter of time till the buyer pops up on here and emails start getting put on to show how reasonable/unreasonable either party has been.

I wasn’t giving much advice but I was being serious about you hopefully providing an accurate description in your ad and actually showing pics of the item. That way it’s maybe not your fault that the sellers not happy with them.
I didn’t actually look on your history- I can’t be bothered and it was more of a warning that if you post a thread like this on here, folk are prob gonna have a dig to see what you’re on about.
What you do now depends on the first bit- if your ad was accurate I’d offer a partial refund but not much..
If you’ve ripped the piss and the buyer now realises that and wants a refund- postage wise I’d maybe offer a full refund and ask them to post it back. I’ve never had this though apart from once when a shifter window was gubbed but the price for the shifters was good so the buyer didn’t mind too much.

Hmm.. There’s been a few similar incidents on here before- hopefully (before folk start looking at your prev posts) you sent ACTUAL pics of the items and gave an accurate description in your ad.
Actually- I’m off to look at your posting history..

It’s pretty much my dream, do it all bike now- after years of careful part shopping, selling other bikes and bits, saving up etc..
Now, a full carbon one would be nice.. as would xtr, or how about an sb66 now we’re on the subject of carbon?
Anyways, its a great bike, has handled everything I’ve given it, and whenever anyone lifts it up they comment on how light it is, so I’m happy with it.
    Honest..

My 575 is a smudge over 28lbs but I’m quite happy considering its the alloy one and I haven’t got anything mega-light or really expensive on it. The Roval wheels seem a lot lighter than my mates’ hope hoops though!

Lost the rear mud guard now..
    Edit- 28.2 Ibs btw..
