when you just carried 20 crates of food up to the 3rd floor, including 50 kg of bottled water, really trying not to be rude,to a great big fat woman who claims she has a bad back(on account of her obesity),and when you get back to the depot the manager and his assistant are waiting for you, ‘a customer called to say you were swearing at her’

milton keynes seems based on foreign labour. The warehouses are seasonal so the demand for housing pushes the prices way up. Many hire em and fire em agencies here are foreign staffed, geared towards younger immigrants that can survive on 3days work a week, and work hard constantly.
The supermarkets may offer some stability jobwise, but the wages are barely above minimum wage.
So unless you have someone to share the rent with, your room to rent will cost 3days wages every week. And no, social security doesnt cover it

I went to school there, but the beautiful places I ‘remembered’ have all gone, now you have to fly out to the middle of the ocean somewhere for pristine beaches,
A lot of singapore riders fly up to chiang mai with their(latest and greatest)MTBs to ride downhill

    Whats Traffic Film Remover do?
I tried petrol, meths, and DIY Magic Sponge.
THe magic sponge works best but theres still a long way to go to get it all off. The dust from the road sticks to the last traces of glue

Long beach on ko lanta is the best beach, plenty of places to stay, pretty quiet(for thailand), you can swim for a mile alongside the beach, explore the island on a scooter or cycle

yes, I just made a few of my rides public, and it changed my leaderboard status

also cropped a couple of rides where I forgot to switch strava off before I drove off

Next question is how do I search for my best ever time on a section?
    without meaking every ride public

I spent year in cambodia 3years back.
I got to ride with the guys from FlyingBikes.
They do local and go further afield for races and rides
They may know of cycle touring expeditions.
I was mostly on dirtbikes there
If you ride motos I can give you ideas,of tours or places to go solo
    Like Cardamom mountains.
You need to see Angkor Wat
Sihanoukville and the islands there are more party places

Just stay away from there for Chinese New Year!

I did mine in Koh Chang and would probably choose there before Koh Tao. Koh Tao is so overdived and not many fish/coral
You could get to sihanoukville in cambodia from there in a couple of days. Nearby Koh Rong/Samloem are ‘party island/s’
I did 40 dives there before I saw my first shark
2weeks isnt long in thailand. You could go to Phuket, where youre closer to everything, but a long way to better dive sites, though Khao Lak is close and a good base for better sites, but you may need your advanced for that.

Or Pulau Tioman in Malaysia, easy to get to,we saw shark, turtles, stingrays etc snorkelling

    +1 the lowe alpine mesa
I just bought another. Had a couple of rides with it and it holds what I need for a couple of hours, and I dont feel the need to hide it in the bushes, when I’m doing loops, like I did with the camelbak.
With both of them, I could carry quite a lot
I also have a similar but more heavy duty lowe alpine one, I cant see the name.
I had a couple of lighter ones too, but the zip broke.

I often woke up at 3, and had a pain somewhere, it used to be my shoulder, these days its more the hip.
I didnt feel it when I went to bed but by 3am it stopped me sleeping.
Ibuprofen or painkillers and I’m back to sleep in half an hour

IIRC its fairly simple to join tracks, so you can make it section by section.
Or you can make a new item in the library, then copy/paste the track into that, and work on it, etc
Unfortunately I cant setup basecamp until i get a decent internet connection so cant be specific

Sorry, its not the oxford, it just looks the same. It’s the Bell Rampage 300 one
I cant find it on the asda website. It does have a $500 guarantee

I just found the Oxford chain lock and mini shackle at my local big Asda, its £35 at crc but it scanned at £15 so I got it.
It is recommended somewhere as strong and not so easy to pick etc

I just go a similar problem with my slx mech.
I had 2 rides on this bike before,it was not a problem once I put the B screw in all the way.
I just built it with the mech off the old bike
But this ride,I heard a noise in 40tooth gear, and the jockey wheel was too close, so I changed up to 36, it was ok.
Ten minutes later, same problem in the 36, and soon in 3rd gear too

    Any ideas?
The b screw is still in all the way and hits the stop

The other thing I noticed was that the mech didn’t spring back into a higher gear, the cable became loose

Could it be a clutch issue?
I have no idea how the clutch is adjusted

won’t the chainring be too small for the mech?
like this spec: 44-38 tooth outer ring compatible,- if the cage is designed for a larger chainring, will the chain fall off more?

then I guess I have to empty the hilka cartridge first….
it can’t be too difficult, I got grease all over everything already, without trying…

    alric

that hilka grease gun is supposed to use bulk grease also. On mine the seal just slides through the grease. Am I supposed to put an empty cartridge in it first and then fill it up?

I have the hilka grease gun also, it stuck to the zerk 1st time I used it,
Any tips to ensure it comes off easily next time I use it?
The most suitable grease I could find locally is the Carlube Aquaslip Waterproof Marine grease. Anyone like this?

strange thing is- the bush is 3/8″ ID, a 9.5mm rod fits through it(but not a 9.8), but the rest of the linkage is smaller. The 6800 earings (10mm ID) and the Ti link, are too small for a 9.5mm rod.
So if I use a rod that fits the bearings(maybe 9.00mm?), then the shock bush will be a loose fit

I imagine the chocolate thing is the same as in thailand.you can get kitkat etc but it doesnt taste the same.
Togoparts is a good cycle site, you can probably get things delivered from there
