It weren’t that long ago, that if you mentioned to your friend/occupational therapist, that you somehow weren’t too happy living with  the local ‘alternative’ psycho, you’d get referred to a social worker, who’d offer you a  (free to leave anytime) assessment weekend at the local uni , then lock you in and dope you up to the eyeballs with noxious paralyzing  (etc) psychotropic drugs, for months on end, without any prospect of you ever being allowed back into society(even if the medication would have made it  a possibility).

Still, if your mind wants to do its thing,  let it, but dont feel like you have to join in.  Its good to watch the mind, see what it wants to do, but not necessary to believe in it.Is every idea the perfect answer?

things like traditions, want to dictate your life, but you dont need to be led by them. You have feelings, why deny them?

All these inventions like the atomic bomb. were they really any good for humanity?

So not all ideas are so good. But if  ideas are not all good, what is beyond them? if you do not attach ourself to ideas, you can see what is -at the end of ideas- what else there can be.

Unless your house is burning down, do you really need to do anything?

So can you find out what love is, what is perfect order?

Otherwise, isnt it  just wasted time?

OK, maybe I cant talk,  but  isn’t that the proprem

we can talk about this. but you know . You dont want confusion in your house-if youre not the cause, someone else is, so get that straight. Dont feel like you have to fit in with something that you know is wrong

and forgive me if Im preaching to the converted

I found a couple of binbags full of old bikinis, bras and panties, near a beach/campsite. Someone must have been ‘collecting’ them for years

My guess is some firm has block booked everything for every weekend and sells it off at inflated prices somewhere

In true STW fashion, any evidence to back this up?  If not you might as well be writing an article for the daily mail.

No. all my own guesswork. Might be easier for all you guys in the know to prove otherwise

i used a YHA a couple of years ago in december, it was booked solid at weekends for at least a month

    countzero-
the output is probably 8-900lm at a guess, but it’s really good, not too big and
well I should test it properly- tell you how long the battery lasts- and how long before it overheats and shuts down ( then you let it cool down and go again). I use mine in short bursts.
so I’d recommend it- but without the figures…
you dont want to be out on the bike a half hour in this cold, to have it shut down and hang around for 10 minutes whilst it cools down

well that helps me… was thinking of movin there from MK. Quite a bit cheaper,
Bein a delivery driver I get to see a lot of places, but not much of the cheapest areas
The villages though, nice cotswold architecture, old houses etc, very nice, for a while
    Probably very desirable/expensive

Like I said, I have been riding it and it was working fine, though I didnt have to do any real hard braking
i would have let some fluid out, but this happened first.
So maybe it’s alright now, but why don’t brakes throw fluid out when pulled hard, like this just happened?

ibuprofen and keep stretching it, the doc told me after I fell on mine.
Keeps the swelling down, and stretching up down, sideways, to and fro, etc to keep it from seizing up
    Not so it hurts though

on youtube theres a guy picking a selection of diskus type locks. He gets into masterlocks in no time, Abus ones get harder to pick depending on price
Theyre harder to cut due to the shape

    komainu-
i had a look before but didnt find an obvious track between the two.
    Any pointers? (or gpx)?

If you want to find the rushmere jumps etc you need to take the park entrance without carpark/centre by the road.
you go through a barrier then drive a long way to the main visitor centre. then its bout 5minutes cycle. The staff should know where it is
Head up to a giant wooden chair and its just past there on the right. Not visible from the path iirc

Sometime around 1-2am I used to click over into ‘night mode’, find your tipping point and go to bed before then otherwise it’s wide awake until 7am.

I hate this. The weekend after nightshift I will go to bed tired and, like a switch, at 1-2am I will wake up and be instantly wide awake. Just like tonight

I do that an awful lot, get exhausted physically and mentally, cant keep my eyes open, then get to bed, and 10 minutes later I’m well awake and stay like that most of the night.

I’ve been thinking its elevated cortisol levels

its no good going to bed when youre not sleepy. better get up until you are

google diuretic and check everything you eat. Lemon balm and ginger may make you sleepy, but if that also makes you piss thats not for you

if a speed limit is in force, apart from 30mph in ‘built up areas’, or NSL, it should be signed.
    So my questions;
    40mph haS A 40MPH SIGN. these should be EVERY 400metres? 1/4 mile?
If there is a sign missing or obscured can you still get done?

On a dual carriageway in a built up area, is the limit still 30mph unless signed otherwise?

And why do (some) roundabouts have 60mph/NSL signs just before them?

I got 2 spare batteries and they fit the SJ4000/8000 so I’m hoping the SJ are good
I googled this and theres a few good reviewed alternatives, but not so cheap. There is an SJ but it takes different batteries
