maybe people want to wait and see this covid thing out and let the prices stabilize before they put them on the market at reasonable rates

So I could be ok for the short term
with 6month evictions, many less people needing to rent?

t’s not £1 per “ticket” it’s £25 which is the smallest bond you can hold

    So how come I have 5 x £1 premium bonds, since 1960?
And what are the odds for me never having won anything?

Seems my broken collarbone still hasn’t healed.
Got to now wait a couple more weeks for a scan then they are going to decide if it needs plating or not.

I got collarbone surgery 2 weeks ago, had clips out yesterday, final checkup tomorrow. I had 2 20mile rides last week
Smashed it up on the day before lockdown

I got and took up the 10% voucher deal a few days ago.
Today I got the £1 FVF offer in a different email address, and when I clicked it, it said ‘Offer is by invitation only’!!!
So I dunno if I put them off by accepting the 10% one or what
I did get the £1 FVF about a month ago, too

I hope youve been doing some physio. I got worse from not moving the arm at all. To me it felt very odd to have the 2 bone ends moving around separately.I wanted to give the fibrous matter/new bone to have the best chance, even though the doc said I could do what I want
Anyway, back to now,Ive just driven to the shops, and had a gentle bike ride
And saw 2 kingfishrs fly past in the setting sun, more brilliant than ever

I found walking best if I take it as slow as I want, listen to the birds, watch the dragonflies, sit down for 5 minutes if it starts hurting, and have some painkillers
You need to forget about getting back to normal, just do what you have to and let things take care of themselves

I had collarbone surgery last week
Crashed the day before lockdown, had 9 cracked ribs too.
Was told to let it heal itself, with the NHS sling, thats all(maybe due to complications from the ribs)
I got to walk a bit, very slowly at first, and needed painkillers after 30 mins.By week 10I was walking 3+ miles a day average. The physio I was doing helped but I didnt get full ROM.Then the XRay showed it was 30% new bone/forming, and was told to give it 6 weeks before deciding on surgery.
So at 16 weeks I got an apppointment with the surgeon ,in 3 weeks time. He said OK, surgery, we’ll call you
I heard from them a few days later, they said I have surgery in 2 weeks, and have to self-isolate until then
I was fixing the bike and other things as I could with the left hand until something felt bad and I had to be really careful, but walking around here, watching nature was good for me. I could drive, but under lockdown.
I got the all clear from the doc to cycle, but too late because of a cockup, so I had only 3 days to ride before self isolate
Doc said I can do anything except fall over, or heavy things, Im 60 now, and going to take it easy this year.
Im sure I meant to write something useful, or encouraging, but I forgot now, so maybe later
Lifes not all about doing the same thing, it seems

Unless you’ve bought a tiny bottle why wouldn’t you just flush the whole lot through. Not that I’d use it

I got the idea from somewhere, that if rebound was too slow in the corner, front would tuck in, whereas were it too fast, ‘twould skip out.
If youre jumping you might want it faster, to get more pop off the lip?

just got the OK from the consultant today, 4 months after a broken (non healing)collarbone and 9 cracked ribs
havent been able to use the right arm,and physio told me not to lift more than half a kettle, or lift arm above shoulder.
today the doc said I can do what I want with the arm, and put me down for surgery ‘in a few weeks’
So I’ll be back on the bike tomorrow!
Now I have to try to get strength(and fitness) back in my arm, before surgery

    nicko and martinhutch yeah
problem is I only have one arm at the moment. If I automatically try to slap them with the other arm I am instantly in agony since my broke collarbone hasnt healed yet
even turning round suddenly to look for them puts me in spasms of severe pain

are the NHS doing surgery on collarbones at the moment?
I have a pre-surgery appointment in a fortnight, but I’m wondering whether they will actually get on with it, and if so will there be along waiting list?

Clipped a tree the day before lock down. Doc 2 days ago (15weeks) says the bone is now 30% healed, was offered surgery or wait 6 more weeks to see if it heals.
So I have an appointment with the upper limb consultant in 3 weeks time, who I hope will get me on the operating table, but that’ll be 18 weeks already.
I got 2 figure of eight bandages, but they were too uncomfortable to wear for 12 hours, let alone 6 weeks, and theyre supposed to be worn from day one. Its also hard to get info etc on them from NHS.
Laser surgery wasnt an option due to COVID

im fairly sure paypal can refund him his money from your account and he can give you negative feedback on ebay
you may be able to sort it out via ebay later, but its a hassle
If he has used it for a purpose for which it was not intended, youll just have to state your case to ebay, and hope they understand

    good luck

I’m a bad sleeper normally, but after a really hard day’s walk or ride, I hardly sleep atall.
I guess its cortisol levels.and tried various herbs etc to lower that, and gave up alcohol for 4 months, and thought I was gettting somewhere. But then I fell off the bike, so been on medications since, and its hard to get comfortable in bed
My sleep also tends to be between 11-1am and 5-8am
I notice a shoulder pain when I wake up at 1am ish, so need some painkiller before I can sleep more
One thing I’m bad it, is getting out of bed when not asleep. This idea of having a connection in your brain, between the bedroom and sleep, and nothing else- is weird- but its one I obviously dont have, and I dont know that I can make one

I was just riding along the day before lockdown, clipped a tree with the bars.
Concussion, collarbone, 9 cracks in the ribs, dislocated thumb.
All I can do is walk slowly.Collarbone hasnt healed yet , it’s 10 weeks now
Very hard NOT to use my right arm for anything, I automatically try to use it for everything, slapping mosquitoes, grabbing branches to hold onto, and it keeps jarring the bones
I have a lot of sympathy for left handed folk now I know its almost impossible to brush your teeth, or wash your left armpit

me too. have struggled with sleep for many years, tried almost everything to fix it
But doing epic days in the mountains (ok, on foot or moto)or wherever, leaving me physicaly exhausted, keeps me awake most of the night
Ive decided its cortisol related, but doesnt seem much I can do about it
Months of cortisol reducineg foods etc did little.
Also aches and pains keep me from sleep, which I maybe dont notice before 2 am

Lots of guys on MX bikes wear knee braces, (mostly when its too late) but I never see them on cyclists.
Nowadays theres most likely smaller ones for cycles.
ve been worrying about falling off and landing on tha leg for years.Had ACL surgery 6 years ago
Since my collarbone broke 8 weeks ago I have been walking a few miles everyday, but the knee still feels wrong in the mornings and other times. The muscle build up didnt happen or do much ,as far as I can tell and I dont thnk I’ll ever run. So obviously I dont want it getting worse.
I had a POD knee brace which I wore a few times on the moto, but it got in the way and wasnt very comfortable. I couldnt wear it on a cycle
Just got the patellar strap out yesterday as the housemates knee was playing up.She says it helped. I used to use it for walking and riding after I did my ACL and it felt more secure
