Anyone know what the discounts on burgtec is like? Probably the stall I’ll head to first..

That’s literally a stones throw from me Riofer, may hold out for the bonanza on sunday, can’t afford too much being a student and all now.. Although, that’s what the overdraft is for right? haha

Mind, was in yesterday and they did seem to be loads of clothing on rails and things as if it were to be sold off

Edit again: Here’s info about it, in the yellow strip under the map

I think we’re planning on heading down for around 10, think it’ll be worth a look, never know at these kind of things, may be a few bargains about. I know burgrtec mentioned they have some end of line stuff to get rid of, wonder if other companies will be the same..

Heard madison are usually pretty good with warranty. (Used to work in a shop who dealt with madison, didn;t do any warranties during the period I worked there though)

Can this literally be used for the 2 months and then left? ANy catches? I’d buy it just to use for the data as i have used up th 1GB on my current plan too many times.

I’ve currently got an X fusion basic shock on my commencal so even the fox would be an improvement I think.

Some interesting views there, I imagine I’d have a shock with a lockout on it which should make climbing considerably easier. I’m used to dh bikes with single pivot if it’s comparable? Should hopefully not notice the brake jack unless it really is that bad?

Hmm, not entirely sure, i think when i jailbroke my ipod it would sort itself out with a restore, although, i think you can download the firmware and install that yourself, i seem to recall doing that with my ipod. I believe there is more of a risk of doing this though. Just google iphone 6 stuck in DFU mode and you may be able to find something.

If it’s stuck in DFU mode, i think it is, you can just restore it, used to happen a lot if you jailbroke them.

+1 for the bash, having never done the aforementioned skiddaw loop though!

Not too helpful but.. having used Hopes in the past (Tech m4) I would definitely go back to even those over my slx’s if I could afford it. The lever feel, modulation and adjustment was just something shimano’s (Or lower end shimano brakes) don’t tend to have. With the bite adjust actually doing something on Hope brakes, doesn’t seem to do a lot on Shimanos.

It was on one of their clearance deals. Where they list them all on a spreadsheet as there’s not many of them left. That’s where i saw they were £240 anyway, 26″ though..

Have you done the route before? We did it earlier in the year and wouldn’t do it again, hard work for the riding you do. We are both experienced as well (Ridden fort william under 6 minutes)

Will bluetooth give me better sound quality than an AUX feed?

    alpineharry
    Free Member

Or this?, 25W RMS should be enough for a small room?, apparently a 75W RMS will do a 350x400SQFT room..
    Logitech speakers

Would like something with a low frequency as that seems to regard the bass? From what i’ve read up on anyway

    alpineharry

I know it’s on Argos, but something like this would be ideal, quite small and one unit, any good? Link for speaker

    alpineharry

Ideally just plugged into laptop via an AUX cable or bluetooth (Not as important). JUst after something with half decent sound quality and good bass.

If i could get a sub and amp for £70? would that be reasonable?, or possibly even some good external speakers for a computer really.

From what it appears, IOS 9 looks like it has a few nice features in terms of when you download the new operating system it doesn’t take up loads of space.

I imagine the rest of the stuff will be pretty generic, larger screens etc, like normal…

Anyone know how long it is after the announcement the new IOS is available?

Spent the weekend at Fort William, Downhill track is running pretty well at the moment, new PR too, judging by gopro, 6:04 instead of 6:19.

Don’t really know where you buy them from, i got mine second hand but had a look on the site and the new ones are 27.5″ wheel.

Get a polygon, think their new models are 650B and they’re hands down the best dh bike i’ve ridden, owned a myst, (old style) gambler, and a demo. Nothing compares.

If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, i’d go for a gambler or a solid stryke if i had the money, the strykes look quick standing still!

This is without a doubt my favourite one! The one of Brayton is brilliant too!

Akira – It was the one in Gateshead, they seemed happy enough but pretty much said, you’ve had a crash, it’s broken, nothing we can do etc and then proceeded to tell me their stories of disappointment with carbon failures. I was told to bypass Evans and go straight to Silverfish, i understand why now.

Kevin1911 – They were good while they last as I had a 35mm stem too as I bought the larger diameter version as they were on offer. This has put me off slightly as I didn’t torque them very much, to 4nm, which is nothing really, had no lucj finding settings and I did read the instructions to see if there were torque settings.

Richie – Not to worry, thanks for the help!

‘Pinetree’, this was the first crash i had, as i say, nothing spectacular and it only my 3rd ride with the bars. I just hate to think what may have happened if it had happened at speed when i was on the bike

Hey Richie, i’ve only heard good things currently. I work in a bike shop who have bought from silverfish quite a lot but i don’t think we have you as a supplier so can’t deal direct. I’ll send you an email across now, have just sent one to Raceface directly to see what they think.

    Cheers

I’m going to send Raceface an email, see what they say, if i can get a crash replacement even then that’s better than nothing, then I’ll have to deal with Evans again…

I have just purchased a pair of trail kings, going to attempt to try them tubeless tomorrow when the co2 cartridges arrive. I tried with a ghetto inflator (2L bottle) and that looked promising.
