    Good luck ahsat

I’m waiting for a heart op, probably in the next couple of months. After the recovery period (or during if I’m allowed) I’m planning to get fit again as I’ve not been able to do much over the past couple of years. Just walking to start with a proper return to MTB planned for next year.

    On this CCTV I’d probably:

    Enhance 224 to 176.
    Enhance. Stop.
    Move in. Stop.
    Pull out, track right. Stop.
    Center and pull back. Stop.
    Track 45 right. Stop.
    Center and stop.
    Enhance 34 to 36.
Pan right or-and pull back. Stop.
    Enhance 34 to 46.
Pull back. Wait a minute. Go right. Stop.
Enhance 57 to 19. Track 45 left. Stop.
    Enhance 15 to 23.
Take a hard copy right there.

    😉

I been with them for a few years now.  No issues. Speed is a bit slower than BT Infinity but still plenty fast. We had an issue recently with a line fault (some animal had tried to chew through the line) and they gave me 50gig data on my mobile phone while they sorted the repair and a good will reduction in the monthly bill that month. The fix meant replacing the cable from our house to the lane so took them a few days but it did increase our speed.

Its not my only bike as I still have my normal bikes but its the only bike I’ve been able to ride for a couple of years due to health reasons. I’m not allowed to ride even that at the moment while I’m waiting for a heart op. After my op my plan is to use it to get back into riding sooner and then switch back to a regular bike.

Thanks km79. They’re still in the packaging they came in so they should be fine.

I sold my dSLR and zooms and bought a 2nd hand Fuji X-T1 and a couple of fast primes. I don’t miss the zooms at all and love not having the bulk to carry around.

You’ve reminded me that I have a sausage making attachment for the Kenwood still in the box. I think I’ll dig it out and give it a go this weekend.

How long to casings keep in the fridge? If they’ve not been thrown away then they’ll have been in there a few months.

If consent is withdrawn then you need to DELETE all data that relies on it .. and that includes every instance in those daily backups….

I thought this would be under reasonable endeavour? It may not be practical to go through all backups deleting bits of data or individual records from a database. As long as there is a policy and system in place to keep the backups safe and a system to not restore data that has been marked for deletion then you should* be fine.

Unless the card is interest free I’d pay it off. That will give you a few months of saving £82. You can always use it again in October if needed.

We’re with http://www.pedalcover.co.uk. All our bikes are covered anywhere in the world. I think a lot of people on this site are with them.

When I last changed my car I looked onto leasing but as I do about 18k miles per year it worked out cheaper to buy a 1 year old car and keep it for 4 or 5 years. Assuming no major bills or problems.

For years I was told I had wide feet and was fitted with painful boots. Then I went to Ellis Brigham in Manchester to be told I had narrow/standard feet. One custom foot bed later (and best part of a day in the shop) and I’ve got the most comfortable pair of boots I’ve ever had.

I would suggest after fitting that you pop along to your nearest snow dome and give them a try so you can sort any issues out without wasting valuable time on holiday.

Due to a heart condition I’m supposed to check mine regularly and recently bought a machine from Boots. Like others above it seems to give readings very similar to what I get at the doctors.

We’re about 50%-65%. It’s about 10% lower in the rooms that we’ve had insulated which are also a bit warmer.

StirlingCrispin: Thanks for the offer, I may well contact you nearer the time. I’m hoping it’ll be nearer the 6 months mark as I’ll be able to recuperate in the garden for a few weeks. I’m not an urgent case and other than not being allowed to ride, exercise much or lift anything heavy I’m fine. I’ve been riding with elbow and knee pads for years so no change there. It’s good to know that you’ve had it done so long ago and have been able to live such an active life. That’s exactly what I’m hoping for. In fact I’m hoping to be able to sell my ebike and go back to a regular bike once I’m fully recovered.

I’ve also got a bicuspid aortic heart valve which was diagnosed when I was a child. Although it’s never stopped me doing anything in the past (I’m 51 now) in recent years it’s started failing and I’ve been on a ebike for the last couple of years. I’m now due to have it replaced with a mechanical valve along with my aortic root sometime in the next 3 to 6 months.

My out buildings have their own consumer unit but I found that powerline adapters did work from the house although they were a bit unreliable. In the end I ran a length of Cat-6 cable from the house. My cable run was only about 50m though.

I’m a fan of the OnePlus brand. Their latest flagship phone is £450. However it’s a 6″ screen although the phone is only 3mm bigger than their previous 5.5″ screen phone. Go big or go home?

If you see your GP I believe he/she can refer you for counselling where you get 6 sessions free. At least that’s what it used to be when my father was a counselor.

    Good luck.

I sent quite a lot of post abroad from the UK and find there can be radio silence for a couple of weeks once it arrives in the destination country. I guess it’s the same for incoming items.

Yes you do. You can ask for a copy of everything they have on you and they have to provide it within 30 days (or at least 30 days after GDPR comes in. It may be a little longer at the moment).

I’m 51 and plan to leave my day job within 6 to 12 months (just waiting for some heart surgery). I plan to turn a hobby/sideline into a part time job I can do from home. My partner is in the same boat (apart from the surgery) but leaves her work in May to concentrate on her sideline.

Our idea is to work until mid day and then go riding/walking/hobbies and doing nice things that proper jobs get in the way of. I doubt we’ll be bored.

So do you get paid only if someone uses your spot or is it just a percentage of the takings of the whole car park? Also do you get to park for free in your spot?

^^^ Not the Dayvilles in Wimbledon by any chance? If so then that was where I spent a lot of my time as they had had various machines and I was best friends with the managers son.

For me it will be 4 years mortgage and all household bills plus a little contingency.

That will allow me to go self employed (totally different field from day job), spend 2 years trying to make it work and still have 2 years to find a job if it doesn’t. All without having to worry about bills, food etc.

I will have this saved up by August of this year and fingers crossed I can make it happen.

Caveat here… not with jeans or anything… WITH a 3 piece suit also!!

Does that make it a 4 piece suit then?

What about an electric gate? Give the mother in law a button to press so she can come and go too. That’s if there’s enough room for the gate to swing open and still get your car in/out of course. And you wanted to spend a bit of money on the problem.
