My go to toppings are tomatoes infused with garlic, cheese, Italian style Milano salami or Neopolitian style if they have it. Chilli flakes, olives and lots of origano. I also drizzle a little bit of olive oil over it.

Nothing fancy and all available from the supermarket.

Like blokuptheroad earlier in the thread I also bought a 2nd hand Lawnflite mower a few years ago. It was OK and did the job for a few years but I was having to spend more and more time on it to keep it going. Eventually it properly broke down so I bought a new Mountfield 1640H which I’ve had for a couple of years with no issues. It came with a mulch plug which I alternate with collecting the grass. Collecting it makes the lawn look better IMO.

Del: “Ere, what was that starter…um…Cassandra made us last week?”
    Rodney: “Moules Mariniere”
Del: “Mmm! That’s it. They were lovely moules, an’ all, weren’t they, eh? ‘Cos she’s got style, see. I mean that Cassandra is a classy lady”
    Rodney: “I suppose so.”
Del: “No, no suppose so about it. I mean, a lot of people- you know, cheapos – would have used mussels – not Cassandra.”

I had to pay mine via the banks website (Barclays) as the android app had a lower limit. Perhaps check what your banks website allows.

+1 for Office 365. Other solutions are available but it works very well.

Nice vid. Brings back lots of fond memories. Me and the SO had planned to go last year as we’ve not been for several years and used to go every year but Covid put a stop to that. I’d like to think we may get out this year but we’ll have to see what the situation is like come the summer. Realistically it probably means we won’t get there until 2022.

I have the BT system with 3 discs in the house and one in an outbuilding/office via Cat5 as the outbuilding is too far away. I’ve had to reset it a couple of times in last 12 months but apart from that it’s been great.

As above, you will/should have free access to MS Office with students in the house.

However if you really must buy it then keep an eye out for special offers which you can stack to buy several years of MS Office at once. I never pay more than about £50 for a year of the family version.

and ran the first test load with it standing in the middle of the kitchen were we could be sure there were no problems

So it works fine in the middle of the room. I think you’ve got your answer 😉

I had mine mid October. My local surgery set up a drive through in a nearby car park and I had mine through the window of my car. To me it seemed a better and faster way of doing it and I hope they repeat this method next year.

My SO still wears her t-shirt with that design on. I didn’t realise it was available on a mug.

60 at the moment sat at my desk.

Since I’ve had my mechanical valve (2 years) I can hear and feel every beat so I’m always aware of what my heart rate is. No need for fancy Garmin gadgets for me.

Since they drove 25 miles to get to you I’m guessing they knew exactly what you had. Any idea how they targeted you?

Oh gosh. I have no words of comfort but I’ll be thinking of you and wishing you and your family all the best to get through this horrible time.

I’ve got BT Whole Home for WiFi throughout the house. I’ve run a 50m network cable to an outbuilding where I work from and plugged a unit in there for WiFi. The unifi kit is very good (used them at work) but the BT kit was cheaper and I’ve not had any problems with it.

I’ve had it for around 6 months now. I think mine is classed as golfers elbow as the pain is underneath the elbow. Nothing to add I’m afraid other than I haven’t really been resting it much and it is getting slowly better. It often wakes me up at night as it really stiffens up while I’m asleep.

Blimey. Good luck and best wishes for your recovery.

Due to heart issues I’ve been on an ebike for a few years now. Perhaps time to think seriously about getting one?

I set up my Starling business account during lock down. I had to resubmit my business proposal/idea to them a couple of times before the account was finally opened but all good so far.

My partner did it herself for her mum. There was a bit of hassle with the paperwork and a bit of back and forth to get it right. A cheap (or expensive) solicitor might have saved a bit of grief but she got there in the end.

BT WholeHome here as well. I r<span style=”font-size: 0.8rem;”>an some cat6 cable to our outbuilding office and have 1 in there too I. tried without the cable at first but i think the foil backed insulation boards stopped the signal. Either that or it was just too far from the nearest disc in the house for stable connection.</span>

Have a look at OpenCart which is a shopping cart platform and is free (you’ll need to pay for web hosting from your domain provider). I’ve used it in the past and it works well. You can link it to PayPal or other merchant services to take payments.

I don’t think it matters to you where in the world their phone currently is. Your friend is texting a foreign phone number and will be charged as per their price plan.

Just after lock down I treated myself to a mechanical keyboard with cherry brown keys and rgb for about £65. I don’t use the rgb for fancy effects but it’s nice to have the keys back-lit with white light.

Can you use eBay’s Global Shipping service or is that just for business sellers/shops? If you can you just post them to eBay in the UK and they look after getting them to Norway or wherever.

I’ve had similar in Manchester. When I said I was on my way to the station (I was) and offered to buy him a ticket rather thn giving him his fare in cash I was met with a load of swearing.

You see a lot of sellers offering an item and it says X amount sold, 1 remaining

New sellers are limited to the amount of items and value they can list so it could be this.

Or it could be that they’re sat on a pile of them but they sell more by making out there are only a few/one remaining so a buyer doesn’t think they’ve got time to look elsewhere and come back later. As soon as one gets sold the stock level is immediatly updated.

I used to ride mid week XC rides with a group, one of whom would turn up on his Demo 8 with DH tyres. We weren’t slow but was always near the front even on the climbs.

Some of our staff and managers are struggling to get their heads around the ‘new normal’ at the moment. I have a daily catch-up chat on Teams or Skype with video with my guys to keep us on close terms. Some staff have had hardly any communication from their manager since lock down and are fed up and want to go back into the office. None of my team do.

I’m sure I read that his downhill bike was only 130mm rear travel? I think he said everyone assumed it was 8″ and he was too embarrassed to fess up that his 130mm travel bike was beating all their much longer travel bikes.

I had open heart surgery 16 months ago and made a will at the time just in case. I didn’t think about power of attorney at the time but I suppose with mountain biking and just general accidents there’s always the small possibility of becoming mentally incapacitated all of a sudden. Perhaps I’ll sort that out now rather than later.
