We had Everest round for a quote. They quoted £70k 😯 which was the reduced price form something even more crazy. When we said we’d need to think about it the chap said that he could have a wander around the garden for 10 minutes to let us make up our minds 🙄 We then got a local firm in to do a similar job for about a tenth of the price.

I’ve just checked my latest bike and although it’s a 2017 model it’s only got a 750mm wide bar. I feel so inadequate.

Get up, let the chickens and ducks out and find/count the sheep. Then back inside to get dressed for work and then head off.

I have a 15″ XPS. Fits (just) into my old laptop bag that used to carry my old 13.3″ laptop.

I’m very happy with it. I went for the 1920×1080 version as I’d read some programs don’t work well with the higher resolution versions, plus I was worried everything would be too tiny on a 15″ screen. Also be aware that they don’t come with a LAN socket so if you need to be hard wired you’ll need one via USB.

Out of interest, what were their actions?

My ebike came with them but doubt I’d have gone for them if weight was an issue.

I’ve never had problems with BT. Was on their Infinity package but switched to Vodafone to save money. Vodafone has been fine although it’s slower (22m to BT’s 30m) and you can’t use your own router.

My first trail centre soon after I took up mountain biking. I have very fond memories of my times there and the apricot oaties at the old cafe.

I’ve got a trip planned for January after several years and can’t wait.

This happened to me. I bought something off an eBay seller with loads of good feedback. Suddenly following my purchase he starts to get lots of negative feedback. I got my refund via PayPal (goods never arrived, probably never dispatched) but obviously something went wrong for him in his life that meant his business went up the wall. Perhaps it’s similar for your seller.

As an eBay seller myself I always side with the customer and refund or re-send without question. I’m sure there are some customers who will scam me and say they never received it and some genuine lost in the post but it’s just part of doing business on eBay and I see it as an additional overhead and factor this into my business model.

Glad to hear that PayPal are taking your case seriously. Bad sellers don’t do us legit sellers any favors.

About 3 months. Built up a new bike which I was saving for the weekend and then broke my wrist falling off my old bike on a mid week night ride.

I used to day trade as a hobby on the NASDAQ and NYSE. With the time difference I could catch a few hours of market action after work each evening. I used a direct access platform so I bought and sold directly and could see all buy/sell orders waiting and every single trade going through. I generally held stocks from a few minutes to a few hours closing all my positions at the end of the day. I made a fair amount on tiny swings by watching the ebb and flow of how a stock was moving and buying or shorting when I felt there was going to be a small blip.

Is leasing only an option if you’re looking to buy a new car?

For example the Vauxhall I’m interested in would be £18k on a 4 year lease with 15k miles p.a. and no maintenance included. I can buy a 1 year old version with 12k miles on the clock for about £16k plus I’d still have some value in it once I’d had it for 4 years.

Admittedly I haven’t looked past the 1st couple of leasing companies on Google so I may be able to get a better lease deal.

the paperback costs £5.80 but she only makes 4p out of that??

The Kindle version is 99p (unless I’ve got it completely wrong – which I probably have) so how much does she make from that?

I’m only asking as my dad is planning on self publishing on Kindle.

I missed the original thread and I’m slightly older than a teenager. However I have downloaded the 2nd book on something called a Kindle App on my phone where I think I read a book once 😉

Good luck to your wife. JK Rowling had to start somewhere.

eBay is just a numbers game. If you’re selling in volume then a percentage of trades will end up costing you more money than you make. I just think of it as an additional overhead and move on. Life is too short to be wound up by customer muppetary. HTH.

Would one that has front and rear facing cameras be better or would front facing footage be good enough in the event of a rear shunt?

    Fuji X-T1 & 27mm f2.8 lens.

I’m planning to swap from my Canon dSLR setup to save weight and size. If all goes well with the Fuji I may be advertising some Canon lenses in the classified section soon.

When I used to play PC games many years ago I was in a similar position time wise to you (although perhaps a bit more than 2 hours per fortnight). I found it was easier to play a FPS on-line rather than single player off line as it meant I’d just jump on a busy server, shoot some people in the face for a bit and then log off without having to restart some campaign or remember where I was up to in a single player game.

I’m now considering a PS4 or an Xbox to play Battlefield 1, again on-line.

Wet and muddy? 29er wheels with mud tyres.

    That’s the conclusion I’m coming to :(.

However before that I thought I might try some Spesh Purgatory 3.0 front and rear?

Can any one tell me which is the grippiest 2.8 or 3.0 for winter conditions (wet, muddy, slippery roots, wet rocks etc.)?

On my old bike I’d just run Trailrakers but my new bike came with plus tyres.

I don’t care how heavy or draggy they are, I’m just after the most grip.

    Ta.

Brilliant idea as long as they have the manpower to process all the footage that they may get sent. If it was adopted throughout the UK then it should make people think twice about their driving habits.

We did similar with our flu going up through the centre of the house as we had no fireplace or chimney.

Three years later and we’ve not burnt down to the ground. The flu does get warm though so you’d need to box it in if it’s going through a bedroom.
