As I understand it, choosing from a list of options and someone then making or building it to your chosen options is not bespoke. As has been mentioned earlier having your name written/printed/engraved on it or asking for a colour scheme or options which they don’t offer is bespoke.
I’d have a chat with citizen’s advice and see what they say about returning them for a refund.

Yesterday early evening we had a steady stream of them coming out where the patio joins the grass.

It sounds like you’re doing what you should be and getting plenty of exercise which I found really helped me. I had my aortic valve replaced about 4 years ago with a mechanical one and although it took me a while to get over the op, I’ve had a really positive experience over all. My scar can be sore or itchy at times (it feels like sunburn so I guess it’s still nerve damage) and I can hear my ticking most of the time but I’ve learnt to zone it out mostly.

    Good luck with your recovery.

My sister hired a field which had a barn suitable for wedding ceremonies. After the wedding ceremony we had a few drinks and then walked across the field to an open sided marquee where we had a hog roast and bbq. No seating plan or top table, just long tables and benches for guests to sit wherever. She had a few outdoor games to keep the kids amused and friends played music on thier instruments and sang. In the evening we walked back across the field to the barn where she had a pre recorded ‘mix tape’ and we had a dance. This was in the summer and thankfully it was a warm dry day. I did the photography (I’m not a pro) and apart from one photo of the whole crowd she didn’t want any formal photos. It was one of the best and most chilled weddings I’ve been to.

I have a 47mm Fenix 6 and very skinny wrists. I wear it all/every day/night and never really notice it.

Same  here. I don’t feel mine on my pipe cleaner wrist.

Simon could follow her up and down the hills at her pace so she doesn’t feel like she’s keeping him waiting at the top and bottom? Or alternatively get her an eMTB so she won’t be keeping him waiting on the ups and her lack of fitness won’t matter as much.

ordered via their sister company Wheelies

🤔 This puts me off a little

We’ve now had 4 bikes from them over the last 3 years with no problems at all either with the ordering process or how the bikes have been put together. We just don’t have a need for this one but had to take something as we had the voucher sat there.

I’ve just received an ebike from Tredz this morning via DHL. It’s an insurance replacement (ordered via their sister company Wheelies) which isn’t needed so I’ll be listing it on the classifieds today. I’ve also had other bikes from them with no probs although not had to process any warranty claims.

I left my job of 25ish years during lockdown and the furlough scheme so not a lot of people even knew I was leaving.

I just switched my laptop off at 5pm on the last Friday and sat out in the garden with a beer. No cards, collection, leaving speech or leaving do. A strange end to such a long time with a company but then it was a strange time in general.

I’m in a similar situation and looking at the same set of phones. The only thing holding me back from a Pixel 7 Pro are the reports of the camera glass shattering for no apparent reason and Google not repairing them. I believe it could be caused by coming in from the cold to a warm room as the camera has a very thin layer of glass covering it to help the optics.

    Mine are:

    1. Timing belt or cam belt has gone on the car last week leaving me stranded for 3 hours (in the rain) waiting for the RAC by the side of the M25. Mechanic tells me it probably needs a new engine.

    2. Lost a crown that same evening. Got dentist appt in an hour. Couldn’t get NHS (old dentist closed down) so not going to be cheap.

    3. Android phone updated yesterday, failed and factory reset itself. I’ve lost all 2-factor authentication from my app and am having to reset all accounts. Also I can’t get wifi calling to work as it’s saying it’s not allowing the apk download or something due to the new OS. Phone signal is almost non existant at home (where I work from). Not actually cost me any money yet but Vodafone say they don’t support wifi calling on my OnePlus 7 so I might need to upgrade.

Not a good start to the year.

… and I had to ask Google to actually check what my age is, I’m not kidding.

When I had my latest covid jab the nurse asked my age and I didn’t have a clue. She worked it out from my dob and got it wrong by one year but I didn’t know any different to correct her.

I pay about £39 to £49 p.a. for Office 365 Family (I think that’s what it’s called). It allows 6 users so you can share with family (poss split the cost?). It also comes with 1TB cloud storage each. You can stack offers so I usually buy a couple when I find a cheap deal (check hotukdeals.co.uk) so have it licenced for a few years in advance.

Surely he was only implementing Liz’s bonkers policies? Will she deny all responsibility herself?

I thought that’s what she was already doing? I thought according to Liz it was what “they” came up with then it became what “he” came up with. Now she can reverse which ever policies have backfired (all oif them?) and blame the whole thing on him. Nothing to do with changing her mind or her getting it very, very wrong.

I’m on oil too. I bought 500l to tide me over (I’m hoping prices will continue to fall) at the end of last week at £0.87990 per litre.

I’ve got about half a 1300l tank left. I’ll wait until the summer to refill. Good idea up there about a 2nd tank. Or perhaps swapping it for a bigger tank to buy more oil when it’s lower in price. We could probaby manage a year on one 2500l tank and buying in a bit more bulk may make it a bit cheaper too.

Says the only assistance Ukraine received so far through NATO procurement system is 50 tons of diesel

He’s giving NATO political cover. Not sure the kind of military aid he’s been receiving in the last few years, and during the conflict itself, is the type that gets filed through the official NATO procurement system.

He knows full well why NATO can’t impose a no-fly. And criticising them publicly on this issue is probably exactly what they want right now.

Exactly. Please move on Mr Putin, nothing to nuke here …

If you are going that far you may aswell chuck them into a switch no?

I could (if I had a switch) but it’s only temporary until my boiler guy can come and replace it during the week.

Sorry for the delay. Here is a photo of the open reciever which has the model name/number on it. As you can see my plan was to twist the grey and black wires together. Would this fool the timer that the temperature is too low and to switch the central heating on?

Yes the hot water is on 24/7. When I switch the heating to come on using the timer nothing happens. I’m guessing i<span style=”font-size: 0.8rem;”>t needs a signal from the thermostat receiver to tell it that the house is below temperature. I can’t seem to find any setting that overrides this either on the boiler or the timer. </span>

I ordered something from Poland a few months ago. As I wasn’t VAT registered they said they needed to add VAT at 20% to my order. The total including VAT came to around £120. I wasn’t charged any more or any import duty by their courier (can’t remember who but probably DHL or FedEx).

I fit Hikvision cameras ans Pyronix alarm systems. They might not be the cheapest but they are solid and reliable, and can fit most budgets.

After much Googling and internet reading that’s what I went with. No issues after several years use. It all just works.

Must be nice to mess about with Amazon footing the bill (and paying you £m’s on top), wonder if it’s pissing off ordinary farmers who face bankruptcy etc. if their crops fail (or never have money available to invest in new machinery).

He does say something along the lines of he can’t understand how farmers without Amazon backing and his Who Wants To Be A Millionaire salary funding things can make any money and keep going.

I’m currently using Xero which works fine. It’s what my accountant SO uses so thought I’d switch to it as easier for her to help me do my accounts.

Before that I was using QuickFile which I though was similar but free (or £50 p.a. if you don’t qualify for the free version).

I have a RM click and drop account and a Zebra printer which works really well and as said above, all consumables are free from RM. My SO has a similar setup but due to much higher volumes gets her post collected for free rather than having to take it to a post office or sorting office.

Does the BT mesh setup have ethernet ports on the remote nodes

Yes my BT Whole Home system has ethernet ports. Not sure if the Whole Home Mini does so you’d have to check if you want that version. I’ve got one on the end of a Cat6 cable in an outbuilding office as it was too far away to mesh with the ones in the house.
