I’m Yamaha through and through but the catfish like front end on this new R1 is gopping.IMO

I like the subtle touches that hark to the M1 and I like the fact they’ve finally succumbed to mass centralisation by moving the exhaust….but but but its one ugly beast!!

I’m sure once in track form it will make more sense to me, to be fair if you dont look at the circular front lights the front end isnt that bad. Very traditional Yamaha, even looking like an FZR400 from some angles.

As long as they dont **** up the next R6 like this then I have no issues. I wont be buying one as I just see much of a future for 1000cc bikes on the road.

Brakes thats wicked mate. Yeah the top is std is42 (or Campy style) so there is a plethora of headsets available for that….just need to sort the bottom one.

Once I get this adapter it should all become clear.

Yeah I’ve found the part from HiBike online for 10 euros, just the postage chucking it up a bit.

I’ll have a word with Cycle Surgery….so once I’ve got the adapter, are you saying a normal IS52 headset fits? That opens up a lot of much better options

If she likes the frame shes got then I’d buy different components. Wheels, forks and crankset would be the first thing to change. It’d knock a shed load of weight off and be a much nicer bike to ride.

If she wants a full sus then I’d say a small Giant Anthem would be my recommendation as they are both light and have just enough travel to not suck up the pedal strokes too much.

Always gets me, as a Windows user, that if people spent as much on a PC as they do on a MAC then the experience would be somewhat different.

Almax Series 3/4 with Squire/Cisa lock – Depends how deep your pockets are. Paired with a 4 bolt double bridged ground anchor should be sufficient

At least you’ll hear the bastards before they do much damage

Much more being produced locally than 5/10 years ago.

Its also why we have seen an increase in the potency as the UK growers have started to hone their knowledge about what strains grow well, produce good results in both quality and high enough yields to make them efficient enough to grow commercially.

Part of the reason my sister moved from High Street in Clifton was due to local access as it gets mental down there and her street can only take one car wide yet still people block it.

She’s now in Failand in a house 3 times the size of her Clifton property and has a reduced mortgage to boot.

Love the polarised views of STW. People in glasshouses etc

IMO…hes gone outside to have a smoke out of consideration for others.

As others have said, is it purely the ‘weed’ smell that getting to you or is it any unwelcomed smell that should enter your nostrils?

Simon, the Freeride E is not the E bike you are thinking of. the Freeride is almost an MX bike, and certainly doesn’t have pedals

Beaten to it but sod it!

Don’t get conned into buying the cheap SSD’s, they don’t perform anywhere near the speed of ‘proper drives’

IMO You should expect read times in excess of 550MB/s for a boot drive.

My old, cheap and nasty OCZ 60gb drive was awful compared to the Crucial M4 125GB…and even that’s slower than my Crucial M4 256GB.
I dropped about 10s boot time with the new drive and stopped a whole heap of microstutters within Windows.

Would really like to see a pair of them striped together to see how insanely fast they are.

My 3 year old, now 4, also suffered with a few reactions on his manhood. As he also suffers from eczema we put it down to this but the mrs got that worried once she took him the docs.

Doctor prescribed some antibiotics and it cleared up. Funnily enough he hasn’t had any more since.

Job done, simple as that. Also as was previously said, do not force it back at such a young age. They’ll play with it enough at that age it’ll all happen naturally.

I tried both the higher and lower spec Asus routers at home(as work use a few and I ahem ‘borrowed’ it overnight)

Lower spec one resulted in slightly smaller wifi coverage but still for my little abode and garden its more than good enough.

EDIT: I am a BT customer and it blew the awful Homehub 5 out the water with wireless performance.

Yeah current one wont work as that’s an ADSL only router.

You need a cable router that can do PPPOE as that’s what the VDSL connection requires as the BT openreach Modem is just a bridge modem.

Some of the newer routers don’t even require the BT Openreach VDSL Modem and can cut that out completely but for ease of use and so BT don’t get all shitty with demarcation points then its just easier to get a cable/fibre router.

Basic cheap option to get you running:

    Netgear Rangemax N150

The one I have chosen for home based on my fanboy love of all ASUS products but still not spending the earth:
    Asus RT-N56U

but you can get any of the current Cable routers and they should be fine…

EDIT; Just seen requirement for USB3:

Good work Raceface, its been a while since I’ve had the chance for an epic gaming session….about 4 years I’d say due to Mini Dutch coming along….although his Mario skills are coming along nicely on his DS.

Although simulator wise there is one crucial one you’re all missing:

For the cost in terms or price and time its a no brainer to strip and rebuild with new everything. The O ring kits off Ebay are dirt cheap and with new foam rings and wipers you wont go far wrong.

I’m starting to lose sympathy for the people who leave them outside Swinnos unattended.

I’m a local and its getting worrying about how many stories I’ve heard of this, whether it be on STW, Chase trail or word of mouth.

You gotta ask yourself, what is in the shop that becomes priority over the reason you are there in the first place…to ride your bike.

Ahh we lost Freddie, Mrs Dutch’s tortoise a few years ago.
She brought a rock back from the seaside for him to climb on (loved his other rocks from all kinds of places) but there must have been some bacteria that didn’t get washed off which got him as 2 days later we came home to the stench of dead tortoise.

Funny little creature…prob the only pet I miss(apart from my childhood dog)

That should be done on most vehicles to be fair aracer.

Hot oil is less viscous than cold so it comes out easier.

Having beena spanner monkey in a previous life, I can confirm I have NEVER seen clean Diseasel oil when servicing. This was anything from brand new VAG to old VAG cars. Always black as the ace of spades and watery!!
