Not fast enough if you had time to concentrate on that.

Go for the mile next time so the conversion is easier.

As per usual, I’ll be over Cannock Chase. I might even cut shapes in trees and straight line some corners.

Agreed on the damage to trees. Its wrong in every aspect.

Trails evolve and one shouldnt get too bothered when changes happen. Theres plenty of cheeky trails/deer runs for everyone to stay happy up there.

So in your mind Tazzy these 10 year old trails are protected are they?
Some kind of covenant to keep them in their original state?
    Fight….behave and grow up.

I remember building what us locals called the ‘BMX track’ up the Chase circa 1985(i suspect you were still in nappies)…sadly these are no more. Although some of it is still used as part of one trail i know. Does it make me sad that our BMX track was ripped up and made different…ofcourse not. Changing the scenery and routes is what makes Cannock Chase so good IMO. They manage to keep the forest evolving.
Same goes for when the fell an area..does this also constitute to wrecking the area/trail and will they have their scrotums ripped apart by mythical creatures.

Same also goes for the start of FTD…are you gonna nip down to the FC and feed them all to Werewolves as they have changed the entrance to Section 1.

So people on Cannock Chase are only allowed to ride where you say they can?

    Absolute bollucks you effing tool.

Cannock Chase wouldnt be what it is today if it werent for the countless poeple(and deer/wildlife) taking a route they want to take.

I can but the height isnt what it used to be. Could clear a good couple of foot when a ‘yoof’ but now its hardly over 12″ or so. Still plenty of all the trails i ride.

I do have an issue with kicking the back out though, back wheel over to the left by anything from a couple of inches to a good foot.

Cannock Chase for a few hours i’d say. Hardly making use of the daylight awesomeness though.

Must say the toad in the hole does look nice indeed.

Not on any health trip just thought i’d give myself a slightly better chance of keeping up with my mate.
I’ve always eaten what i like rather than specific foods so i’ll go over the french deli at dinner and load up and some niceties!!

Yeah the lastest SBK 11 is quite a jump from them. Its funny how when you play them all when they come out each feels not too dissimilar. But when you go and play the 08 or 09 and then compare directly to the latest one its quite some difference.

I prefer bike racing games as there is so much more skill ainvolved with getting them round compared to their 4 wheel counterparts.

Which version of SBK did you try, IIRC the 08 and 09 just didnt have the physics quite right. Now they are pretty good to be fair.

You have to play it on Medium or Simulation to get the best from it though.

Mr Glitter, i suggest you start playing SBK X or SBX 11 then. Proper bike racing games that have had more ‘edge of the seat’ moments for me than any other game EVER!!! Get a decent crowd in a multiplayer race and it takes your breath away, especially the speed of some of the front runners.

A console will never beat a PC simple as! Yes cost does come into it but if you want the best you gotta pay the price.

I have one of these. Got it with some vouchers i had:

Its been awesome. Split plenty of chains with it so you should be sound in that respect but the ‘creme de la creme’ moment came from being able to ghetto repair the back of some random womans Spesh FSR snapped rear pivot bolt with the bolt holding this together. Mega ghetto repair that easily lasted Cannock’s Lower cliff descent and all the way back to Birches Valley car park (via Kitbag Hill and Tackeroo run)

Yeah they are Rev Teams 150mm. So the Carbon steerer…how much and what condition please, is it 1 1/8th?? Pics would be nice too. I like collecting spares too. Especially shiny ones with carbon.

So seems like a more regular fettling is whats required from now on.

SBK 11 – For all your racing needs and more. So much more involving than car racing games.IMO. Havent played serious game time on 4 wheels for must be 3 years now. it just doesnt compare.

just read the Wiki, doesnt say he scammed anyone out of 20k. Although i;m sure he would have taken it if offered but the nutter decided to smash his wheel up. True science loon IMO.

Sorry Molgrips, i didnt read it back to myself.

he was way ahead of anyone thinking at that time circa 1600’s

Molgrips, yeah I agreee with the physics part but that bloke was way ahead of anyones thinking. I reckon he could have made a much more efficient machine with current technologies (but yeah you’re right it wouldnt go on forever)

Orffyreus – he’s the man…sadly let down by aincient engineering

Makes for interesting reading, i spent best part of two days looking through all kinds of machines and theories. There was even some crazy Aussie bloke who recently claimed to have done it….not sure what his name was though

We’ve just got the Petite Star Zia plus. Our monkey is just about to turn 1. Effing great buggy after the Silvercross beast we had before.

As the mrs wanted everything for it(cosy toes, rain cover, protective bag, parasol) we bought it new at about £140

Folds up great and uses hardly any boot space compared to the old one

Stunning vans, had one for 24 months from work before the barstewards told me i had to get my own vehicle. Cost cutting an all that.

    Had a beautiful dark grey 1.9tdi 104bhp.

Great for everything. Two bikes go in dead easy, we use to turn the front wheels and drop them behind the front seats which left the the middle free for kit and whatever else needed.

Had it fully loaded with Telecoms equipment(like to the roof and on the bumpstops) and it still pulled like a train.

last shape model, 50K and under you’ll be lucky to get one for less than 6k plus vat i;d say. Not many private sellers about yet sadly.

I have two phones, one for each company i work for. No restrictions placed on either though.

It works for me as one is quite old and all friends have that number.

The newer one is purely for work and I find that one gets left behind quite a bit. Doesnt bother me, anyone who needs me tat bad has got both numbers anyway.

Swoosh, I’m not saying its the be all and end all of the Silicone sprays, but at least I know it doesnt contain PTFE which a large % of the cheaper ones do.

I do have a softshell i use for winter, this will be purely stuck in the backpack for days when its dry when i go out and get caught in a shower. Good couple of options, gonna have to get myself to a shop and try a few on to see what fits ok. I’m between a medium and small normally

Zulu and Crikey….sorry to say I am one of those tinkering types.I dont ever get any problems with my bike, but then I suppose based on the components I carefully selected for my custom build helps a great deal.

Wheels on and off all the time, they never squeal, never had to bleed them, great feel on lever and pmore than enough stopping power on a 183/160 combo.

Anyone who has them will know i’m talking about Hope’s.

In comparison, i’ve had two sets of Avids and nothing but trouble. Including replacing a master cyl seal and caliper piston seal on 7 month old Juicy 7’s. Wouldnt touch Avid again ever!!!!

While I’ve never ripped my toe nails off when doin so(what footwear are you using by the way?) I have twisted a knee or two using that very technique.

Having owned a few Supermoto’s, including one very special KTM, they are awesome tools. Although i dont think i could deal with the heavy single pots mentioned above. Maybe a drizzle at a push but my first one of those i snapped 3rd gear in half.

I do miss that brap, brap of the Ti Akropovic on the KTM though. Flame spitting, over run banging goodness.

Still a fan of the ‘lube me and abuse me’ but wouldnt mind seeing some along the lines of:

4 wheels bad, 2 wheels good (A bit George Orwell)

    Considerably more Gnarrrrr than you!!!
