My first bike was an F800GSA that was a bit difficult to get both feet on the ground with. That bothered me a hell of a lot more than the 80bhp!!

after two years, I was definitely hankering for more – that came in the shape of the 160bhp S1000XR

Only really having occasional “moar power!!!” Moments now after another two years

Harley might be a bit slow!

Depends how hard you can push

Yes – only once and the abort was done from ground level. A 1980’s Soyuz went bang but, thankfully, the abort system fired two seconds beforehand, saving the crew.

I went cattle class LHR to San Francisco last year for a conference. Wasn’t that bad, tbh. iPad and lots on entertainment helps. WiFi on the flight helps a lot and is definitely worth paying for.

    Absolutely loved it!

Finally, I get a Doctor who represents me.  That is, she’s clearly from Yorkshire…

(Turns out Gallifrey is a village just outside ‘arrogate)

Genuinely best thing they could do with the programme is cancel it.

So, what he is saying is there is a danger to the human race if a certain group of men are not given access to reproduction. Am I understanding his point correctly?

He goes on to say that women are choosing not to reproduce with these men and that these choices should somehow be “adjusted”. He seems to say that is the responsibility of women to change; to ensure this group of men are given chance to reproduce. Am I still getting this right, @geetee1972?

If you turn up without one, it’s fairly unlikely they will make a big deal about it. The other way around? Are you feeling lucky?

Forums are surprisingly expensive to run. Hosting on a scale needed by a site like this, with the quality of serivce expected, is not cheap. Sorry, it just isn’t.

You then need to maintain the software – install security patches etc. You need to somehow manage the content – keep all of us in line somehow. It costs time and that costs money.

Frankly, sitting and moaning about a few adverts when you can easily make them go away for 5 pence a day is just daft.

Vodafone do support WiFi calling now. Checked recently as I was thinking of migrating.

None of this actually happened. It’s too difficult and completely out of the capabilities of a new rider, as has already been established in previous threads…

You’d never get away with it this days!

We kind of do – we just allow it on two wheels these days only – the Isle of Man TT

It’s all a gamble. I bought a pair of leather sofas from, of all places, DFS. Sixteen years later, they are still perfect.

It’s not like I treat them particularly well or anything. Just seem to have been lucky.

Seems to be a bizarre love of wanting to race me at traffic lights in my home town at the moment. I mean, if I was going to race (I’m not that interested tbh), they wouldn’t stand a chance. So why even try???

So, the tenancy is in joint names, so you have a joint responsibility for returning it in a decent state at the end. That’s fair enough.

I’m presuming she has paid the most recent rent? If so, she is entitled to keep things there. I’m going to suggest she also has every right of access to the property as she sees fit, unless you have reason to believe you are at risk and go to the Police.

The rabbits are not your problem, though. If she is planning to leave them with you, make it clear that you’ll simply report them as abandoned to the RSPCA.

It’s only a month. She will be out of your life soon enough.

Seems to work just fine on my iPhone. Including adding people. Including children

    rachel

edit – are you adding children? You are remembering to declare their ages and then click apply, right?

Go to http://builtwith.com and enter the site address. It will give back a complicated report about the site but one of the items might be “content management system”. Let us know what it says

Slovenia was a stop for me on way to Hungary on my first “long” ride on the motorbike. Lovely place!

not that far, really. I stopped in the oddest hotel the night before near Innsbruck… https://www.alpenlove.at/

There and back in a week is reasonable.

Okay to say that you don’t have a strong opinion either way. It’s probably a sign that the decision won’t have much impact, anyway.

Yeah, I’ve seen it many times based around the person (persona navigation, if you will) but this very much looks at needs. I like that a lot

I was a judge at the European Splash Awards recently, and one of the winning sites really struck me as having a great navigation experience. See http://boip.int and the way it lists a series of actions, along with jumping off points. Definitely got my vote…

Safari is a perfectly good (to be honest, my favourite for many reasons) browser with 14% market share. Telling people to use a different browser to access a site is, frankly, not acceptable in 2018.

Just ridden down to Frankfurt today. Mostly away from the autobahn.

Somwewhat amazed at the number of bikes out and the number of groups I kept catching up with. I know I have a reasonable amount of power on-hand but genuinely shocked at how many groups of “sportsbike” riders I was having to wait for – I have panniers full of camping gear on board!

i do wonder if there are a lot of people who actually ride very little. Like only a few thousand miles a year. What’s the point in spending a fortune on a bike for that? Just hire one.

I don’t get the small number plate thing either. Why fit an illegal plate & then complain about getting pulled over by the Police?

I have ridden in London many tines. I used to live there. Exhaust note is not a huge factor in whether you have a collision.

Better get used to it as the world fills with (nearly) silent cars and motorbikes…

I don’t even need to use the clutch on my motorbike. Why on earth would anyone still faff around with fully manual changes in a car??
