Thanks for the sympathy! The Good News is I’ve raised over £500 (inc Gift Aid) for Sick Kids: Just Giving – Allan Kelly’s Strathpuffer 09 Page. My employer will top it up too, so should be in the region of £750. Excellent!

The specific section: to keep things moving, I sectioned the course in my head.
Sec 1. Start to the rock gap & the ambulance.
Sec 2. “Cleats don’t fail me now” up to the caravan.
Sec 3. Over the granite past the skeleton.
Sec 4. *I fell here* the loose rocky singletrack.
Sec 5. Turn right onto very narrow singletrack through a young wood, up to the Pallet Seat and down again.
Sec 6. Steep up at a marshall station to a level section past ponds with little drainage ditches.
Sec 7. Through a narrow gate and onto a muddy descent.
Sec 8. After the wide RH curve with the view, sharp LH up into the woods. Up, Up, UP.
Sec 9. Down, down, gloop, finish.

    Cheers, al.

Genesis IO comes in a gold-ish colour. They had one in the Hub at Glentress…

I have a Singular Swift geared. I LOVE it. I’m not a large lad, 5’8 on a good day with a full moon. I’ve commuted the swift 11 miles each way on really bad rural roads and off-road (home) for the last 3 months. What a bike.

The reason I bought it, I got a shot of a pre-prod Peregrine owned by Kenny Drumlanrig which was just gorgeous. My MTB pals got on it and went all emotional. Then I saw the white tourer build, and I put the children on ebay. Sadly, nobody wanted them because credit-crunch stockbrokers are selling their children for anything they can get.

Nice nice nice. Can you get it via B4W? I didn’t know.

Thanks for this. The bike shop were talking me into Ice Spikers, and after last year I was for it. A scary-accurate forecast from Metcheck for last weekend had us up Glentress black in t-shirts on Sunday at 7AM. But the ice remained even at 10C air temperature… uh-oh.

So, great to hear about gloop. Gloop I know. Gloop I wear with pride. Gloop I lie in, laughing.

Ice… you know, it’s kind of foreign… Ice hurts.

Folks, I’m raising money for Edinburgh Sick Kids. please have a look.. the minimum donation is £2 – less than a pint of beer. I’d SO appreciate if you could donate.
