    2 words Bl**dy steep!

Not sure if you have been, but my recollection is that Positano is one of the most vertical towns I have ever been to.

Beautiful, but not sure it would be the first place I would be looking to cycle in.

I hope a more helpful answer comes along in a minute!

Delonghi magnifica here, bought from Ebay (reconditioned, although I could not tell the difference from new)

Mine was £210 from a place near Nottingham

It ticks the bozes of most of the comments here, burr grinder (all in one bean to cup)

Might not be well thought of by the anti delonghi brigade, but if you feed it good beans, then nice coffee comes out!

We have stayed at the a hotel in Malcesine a few times with the kids.

It can be done on a half board basis but is really all inclusive, for dinner and breakfast (with wine / beer) then you get lunch for half of your stay too!

They have some great family rooms at the back of the main hotel, near the family pool (shaped like mickey mouse!)

The hotel is called the Majestic palace and is in a lot of the main internet and other travel agents books.

    Hope this helps

PS hire a bike from Malcesine and take it up to the top of Mt Baldo and then ride down……………fantastic way to spend a day, but beware the brakes being the other way around!

    Thanks for your thoughts guys

The lease on the Scirocco is £360 a month, it sounds as though the LPG thing is better suited to older cars

I had not really thought of the range issue, work takes me around the NW and Lakes area, so I will check out the LPG garage link

    Thanks again for your input

It would seem the answer is maybe?

I guess my moan about the petrol is more about having to do over 20k miles per year with anything over 10k being reimbursed at 25p a mile rather than any fault of the car!

As others have pointed out 200bhp and 35 mpg are good figures really

I wonder how many people are putting up with the performance of a diesel car but not getting any financial benefit due to relatively low miles use (10p more per litre, usually greater expense when bought, more frequent services etc all cost money)

People seem just to look at MPG now and forget the most expensive cost of owning a car is usually depreciation!

    Hi Bol

I am just looking to see what to replace mine with.

Got in 09 and have done about 64k in it.

    PLus
    Excellent looks
    Great around corners
Happy to sit on the motorway all day if you need to

    Minus
Mines not great on petrol (200bhp petrol TSI version, giving about 35 mpg)
Visibility at the back not great

All in all I would definately recomment above a Prius, not sure what the bluemotion is like for power etc but the handling should be the same.

    Hope this helps

I heard that peanut butter is a good thing for this.

Put it on both sides of a piece of bread so it takes your quarry some time to pick it up

    Then blow its brains out!

(PS tried a trap from amazon, they just ate the food out of it!)

Not sure it this floats your boat, but I have a 93 or 94 Marin Team issue.

Presently it is sporting some pace copy carbon fibre stantioned suspension forks.

Frame is straight, except a bit of a ding on the chainstay (big rock)

Might benefit from a respray but I beleive threads etc are all good.

Let me know if it floats your boat and rough offer price if it does………..can do photos etc

    Hope this helps

Its usually worth checking out Richer Sounds for Sonos stuff.

They are usually at good prices and they actually know what they are talking about!

richersounds.co.uk is their web site, they have stores all around the country too

(I have no connection with them other than usually buying my hifi and tvs from them)

    Hope this helps

    Hi

    Just to fill you in

Wankel engine, so although 1.3 has the theoretical capacity of 2.6

Quite powerful, but no torque so needs to be revved

Terrible on fuel (think mid 20’s)

Drinks oil (think a litre per couple of tanks of fuel)

That is why they are so cheap!

They may be the answer for a low mileage use, but would prove expensive to own if you were doing the usual 12k per year.

They look great though don’t they!

    Cheers

    Hi OP

I have used a company loads of times who buy capacity from all the major couriers and then sell on to people, mostly Ebay

    Parcel2go.com

They are usually very good, with pick up and drop off. The earlier you let them know about a pick up the more likely it will happen.

Prices through them are very keen

I have no affiliation with them other than being a happy customer

    Hope this helps

    Cheers

There is a place near me called imaginatively “console fixers” .co.uk

They are pretty good and will repair YLOD for about £30 (plus post).

THey did mine recently, but it only lasted for about 8 months before going again……..they have quoted £20 for a reflow (they do it with a proper machine, rather than a hairdryer).

Apparently you can only reflow a PS3 3 times, then you have to do a re-ball ie take the chip off and re-solder it in. This apparently has a risk of breaking the chip, but would make it good as new and likely to last longer.

Apparently the overheating issue affects new slim ones as well as the older Phat ones.

I would recommentd consolefixers from Denholme!

    Hope this helps

    Thanks for help gus.

It seems that £11 per kilo would be a good price for good quality beans and that anyting less is likely to be comprimisig on taste?

I would be keen to find out where tootall is getting his from!

Wil report back when I order some

If you want to DIY I am sure I remember somewhere seeing someone selling the wires that they use to go between the Box and the LNB in the dish in a version that had both wires contained in an outer that was the same size as the old stuff they uses years ago.

As long has you have a 4 wire LNB then you could DIY in 30 mins!

(4 wire LNB’s are obvious as they have 4 wire outlets from the “Microphone” bit in the pickup from the dish.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi OP

I bought and fitted a Howdens kitchen to a rental property. It has not been in for about 4 years and still looks good.

I would echo what others have said about hinges (threadlock is a good idea)

Depending on your timescale it may be worth noting that they have annual sales arouns Sept or Oct where their prices are reduced significantly (>50%)

If you can wait till then, you could get a bargain.

    Hope this helps

This is because the customer paid using an e-cheque.

(Usually as he did not have enough money in his paypal account to pay, so the Paypal system takes money from his bank account to pay, but takes about 10 days to do it!)

You could go into Paypal and it will confirm the details of the payment and let you know when it is likely to clear

    Hope this helps

I did Gisburn (15 mins off the A65) between Xmas and New Year.
Great all weather riding, not much gloop about and it was windy and wet……………we still enjoyed it!

THere is also a good ride near Addingham if you want to go at that end of the A64, takes in some good bridleways and ends up at Bolton Abbey.

As with all NSAID (non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs) the best recommendation is to use “the minimum number of tablet for the minimum length of time.”

As said above a good pharmacist would advise best.

There are long term risks of a cardio vascular nature of taking these drugs as well as affects on the stomache (ulcers etc)

    HI OP

I have a mate who runs a promotional merchandise company who could help.

It depends on the numbers involved though, if it is in the 10’s it can prove expensive, he generally works in the 100’s to 1000’s area!

Let me know if it is interesting and the number of items

There are a lot of great cars out there for the £18k you have in your budget.

My vote would be a Porsche or TVR.

The 996 is not loved by the market, so is relatively cheap compared to the 993 (air cooled) or 997 (newer)

I have a turbo which is exceptionally fast when you want it to be, but you dont need to drive it at 10/10 to enjoy.

The other car I would look at is a Cerbera, you can pick them up ex TVR power who give a 5 year warranty on the engine which removes a lot of the worry. The TVR option is also likey to come in much less than budget, leaving you with a war chest if the anticipated problems arise.

Hope you choose well and enjoy!

    Hi OP

I have been on the prowl for a 705 for a while now.

I would be keen to know your final price and would offer 150 for yours if it has the HR strap?

PLease let me know as it will stop me searching Ebay endlessly!
