What about the wigwams? We're going to have a go at them in the Spring.

Last time we stayed over we went to the Glentress Hotel. The food was pretty good but the rooms really were terrible. Useless shower, sink in the bedroom (not the bathroom) and, my pet hate, carpet in the bathroom and a stinky shower curtain. Shudder.

A normal cheque has to be cashed within a year but a BS cheque which is cleared funds may be different. I would imagine it is in a BS clearing or suspense account, not with who sent it to you so it might be at least trying to cash it. If it fails, get in touch with the BS.

For the fast moving subject with background blurred you need to pan with the rider, or just in front to allow for shutter speed. A lot of trial and error required, I'd say.

On the subject of tripods, I was thinking about a gorillapod for the DSLR. Anybody got any opinions? I don;t fancy lugging around a big tripod when the gorilla can fit in my backpack.

Yes, because the most important thing about the leader of the country is what they look like.

You and me both PJM. Every now and again I go through "Buy an old GTI or XR2 or 147". Then I get home and the wife tells me not to be silly.

I don't know much about Panama but these ladies look like polo-ers not cricketistas.

EDIT: I'm talking sh*te. Turns out they are the cricket team.

That is true pjm1974. I've had two alfas and three or four golfs and it was the vw's gave me the most trouble. You do hear some horror stories about the alfa though.

And for £3k you'd prob get a newer better spec'd car with alfa than vw.

BMW's are the worst cars IN THE WORLD for this weather – or any other kind except bone dry. Mine has been on the drive for a fortnight. The Audi "4X4" isn't much better. I have access to a Nissan Navarra and its flawless in this weather. Bang it in low range and it'd get up the side of a house.

My dad once hit a shelfstacker on the back of the head with a rolled up newspaper during a walk round Tesco for no reason at all. Thats was about 5 years ago and he still can't explain it. Old folk are allowed to get angry and do some stupid things. They've earned it.

Jesus, I can +1 the nice guy bit. Have met him at a Sportsman's Dinner when he was at Falkirk and he was a really good lad. I think he had had a drink that night though, MussEd

Bolton are a bigger club than Burnley, no? Coyle'll do well with a bit more resources. He started his managerial career with my club (Falkirk) and he and Yogi did a great job.

I've got a Q7 and it goes fine in this weather. Stopping is a bit of a different matter though. Maybe if I had more suitable tyres it'd be different. That said I'd muich rather be in that than the other car in the family. A rwd BMW really is exciting. I couldn't get it out of the drive this morning.

I (or rather my missus) had a Suzuki SJ410. Never went above 55mph even downhill. Even 55mph is a bit of guess because the speedo needle wobbled by 20mph so it might have been 65 but more likely 45.

Thanks for the help guys but still not working. The adapter isn't picking up the wireless network. So nothing is showing in settings for me to edit. Maybe the adapter is faulty. Maybe I'm just thick.

Pink Floyd IMHO are rubbish. I've never got them – ever. And I've tried – all my mates were/are right into them but I thought they were rotten.

Last year we cancelled ours because of a bereavement of one of the team and this year nopbody fancies it. There's a lot of stress in our team just now and I think people'd rather spend time away from their workmates. Suits me as I never have enjoyed socialising with people I work with.

I'll be sitting watching substandard TV like every other NYE – at least for the last 12 years. Before we had kids, Christmas and New Year was a two week long drinking marathon but those days are well gone.
