I think its not about the person wearing the helmet its the people it affects if you crash and have not. I dont want to see my best mate licking his elbow or picking bits of his skull up on a weekend ride.

That being said I dont always wear my helmet but it doesnt mean its right, more convenient and stupid probably.

I just got a 08 Giant SCR 1 for £250, 105 parts, carbon forks, pretty light! I'd hold out for something like that as even at 500 new it's not close to matching it.. more like 800!

I was at my first downhill race the other week, no pressure on myself yet I still yawned about 100x and pee'd everytime I got to the top of the hill before setting off (not in my pants I might add)

Its weird what your body does naturally even when you think your being a cool cucumber

say that your 5ft2 with shoesies and like the feeling of lycra against your skin, that aught to do the job

on a serious note, why would you mention the wage? that just gives a nutter a chance to rape you for every penny and the rest, saying that the sex would probably be good!

Its pap isnt it that something so expensive can be so clunky, I'll try and find a ultegra front mech cheap then :) thanks for all your helps much appreciated

I now know why my front mech clicks 2x then god bless trim :D

    cheers for your help mate

Haha thats a good enough deterrent then! its a compact so I've got 0 man points to start with anyway :D

    whats the trim? (sorry)

the front mech was my first bet so i gave it a good soaking and clean, the spring is indeed very stiff and the shifter does feel light when not connected

i cant really see more than 1 way the wire could be run so it must be right as its all sat in correctly ect

its not the going up that scares me as much as shifting down it clicks once small then you do it again and it just slingshots the mech back with a loud clunk (its not hitting the stops) it just feels a bit brutal

kinda paranoid of wasting my cash on the shifter if it breaks like the previous guys 105 did

/10 (10 being stiffer than stiff) my front is about 7/10 and the rear which is normal is id say 3/10

why would you want your bearings to hold your backend in place? keep it free for that expensive shock to do its job with as little resistance as possible.

Grizedales boring, stay away! lol I should know its next door to me!

    alexxx
    Free Member

Grizedales not worth it unless you know exactly where to ride as you'll only do the north face loop which isnt that great

^ depends on skill levels obviously to what different people think

Personally I'd go to Staveley and do the 3 rivers or garburn pass area instead of grizedale, Helvellyn is fun, depends what you want dh, xc?

If the employer wants to supply bikes costing over £1000 (retail price including VAT) they will need to purchase an individual Consumer Credit Licence

What does that mean, has anyone done it, what are the implications or costs?

I just did the sums I pay 235 on average every month on fuel based on the last 12 months total cost around 2400 plus 215 tax abd not including running costs which I assume with new tyres all round an filter n oil change every 5k is around 700£ my car costs a fortune ! An that's just an average guy doing 17k in an average 1.8 Volvo s40

What's the deal on the site saying top up to a value above 1k for a set fee? And is that 3k max what I pay or the rrp? Thx
