Cheers guys, thats the next job on the list then!

Are they generic bearings or specific ones? Best place to go to get them?

It’s not actually about the cleanliness! Its other seemingly futile things which is why I find it hard to converse. I don’t believe you have to have OCD to enjoy cleanliness! I may be wrong. Odd things like power consumption. I go out of my way to turn of lights, use heating sparingly, turn the thermostat down. Whenever I re-check, someone has booted it back up to max even though no one is in! This has money implications as well – I use this as the excuse but its not getting through. I am a house dick.

I appreciate that it’s my problem – i never said otherwise.

Thats for all your input – I have just bitten the bullet and pulled the trigger.

Lets hope I fall in the camp that likes them!

If Saints were not £100ish dearer they would have got a look in.

Maybe a post in the Wanted section would reap rewards…

Don’t quote me on this, but I have heard that most ‘electronic contact cleaner’ is IPA based? Worth looking into as Halfords sell that.

Seriously give it a go. The book I recommended got me going a year or two ago. Now I’m addicted, quit my job and have gone back to college to study Horticulture! It’s addictive!

Yeah I’m getting the same messages. Last night was down for an hour and just now for a bit – not sure if its just me?!?

Good luck Tom in getting things sorted!

Just download Vast after this seeing this thread – never heard of it before.

Really like it so far (about 10 mins in!).

Anymore decent films around other than those already mentioned?

    I have a 2.5wt and a 10wt, different brands, and I would like a 5wt.

Shame it is not just that simple!

You are very right, Sir. I am a muppet.

So it is straightforward, just not for dunces like me.

    Cheers for confirming that.

Any ideas why the floodgate knob is very stiff now?

Yeah, I’ve been told that Conti Twisters 32c are about the biggest you can sensibly get in there.

When I travelled through the region in Jan/Feb 2005, I took Malarone. I was not sticking to the coast and did travel inland as well as Cambodia and North Thailand. I think it would be wise if you can afford it. It only takes one bite. Even if you do take anti-malarials, don’t be blase, cover up and sleep under a net, use repellants of your choice.

Cool, I have heard some people saying you get reduced battery life with the chopped cards – something to do with voltage…

Everything ok with you, spindl, with your GiffGaff card?

Finally got through to Orange CS on the phone, they want an extra £10 out of me per month just because it’s going in an iPhone! Think I may just trim my existing card to fit!

My 3 year old VW Caddy 1.9 Tdi had turbo failure and the resulting injector, camshaft etc damage so it’s not just limited to Fords, but as stated above, any car with a turbo – including VAG units.

I volunteer one day a week as a gardener for the National Trust. It started out as a way to fill my time after leaving uni and not getting a job, but I enjoyed it so much I have decided to do a college course and try to get a job in the industry.

Rhyd Ddu path on Snowdon I take it, not the village or riding on the train that stops there!?

    Sorry to be pedantic 😀

I was looking more at the non-UL Kaos, the Kaos FR, but not sure of the difference other than finish and weight. Is everything else the same. £80 on CRC for the UL or £70 for the FR.

After my last fall, protection and coverage is more important than out-and-out lightweight.

5’8″ here and ride an original medium one. Great fit. I also ride a 16″ inbred if that helps you at all.

    I got one too.

And another from Dal King – this guy seems genuine though but obviously is not a member of STW.

Could it be useful having the classified forum available to logged-in members only?

did you embellish a bit ?

No, i did not. I put that I used the bike for UK trail centres, Lakes/Peaks and a yearly trip to the Alps.

Would a lower weight fork oil make any difference?

Edit: I'm about 68kg will riding gear on.

Pikes here too. Would like to try 150 or even 160mm forks for Alps duties, but for the UK, 140mm is spot on.

1 week old broc and stilton soup – the age certainly help the cheese pack a punch!
