Took the boys last night, theyre 9 & 11 and they absolutely loved it. Which is really the measure of success for an Indiana Jones movie, innit.

I thought it was great and my 12 year thought It was amazing. I thought they were kids films that “grownups” enjoyed😃

Dog day afternoon yesterday,  amazing day out with my boy.

Shocked at the attendance, read a few online moaners saying no way due to the non punk ticket price.  12s and under were free so that was a bonus😃

Picture from Twitter behind Gen Sex, it was more packed out later.

Loads of fat, old, bald & grey types so felt at home, bit like BPW when you go during the week.

    Westfield, Stratford?

Thought about fitting Thule lock on the sliding and rear doors. Then I saw a video of a guy knocking one apart…. Video was about 5 seconds long.

    White City/Shepards Bush – I now have a high-security gaffa tape over-the-hole solution installed :)

Met with a friend over the weekend and he has a huge rough hole in the same place This is a new style Combo. Work are in no hurry to repair as so many are now sporting air holes.

I was on Albert square market last week🥴

They have a mini bike parts stall, fruit and veg and a fresh fish stall (more but I didn’t notice)  obviously props 😀 but does nobody notice that the fish/lobster are always the same and in the same position?

Fits like a glove, if you chopped the wrist bit off.

Had to take the storage part out but never used before so should all be good.

The topcap/lock fits inside the steerer until the thread stats. Not cut the thread yet but looks like it will be ok- or not?

. Not sure if the twist lock will work with the pump.

Got a Fidlock fitted with the EDC pump bracket underneath it.
    Works fine.

Perfect, if the top cap fails the pump will do fine.

Birds eat birds, not always naughty cats.

We had a kite repeatedly diving into the drive, when we checked there was a pile of seagull bits. Possibly killed by a cat first though :)

But we have air battles above the garden with birds being attached in flight by the kites.

Not a single bit of cat shit in our garden and we have three cats :), useless at chasing birds as all the grass seed disappears.

Wife has the 2020/21 black/green version but only has Gen 3 motor. She likes it but our son loves it. The sizing is weird though, he can ride it easily and its is a medium frame with 29″ wheels. His own bike is an adult small 27.5″ wheels that is still a bit big.

The brakes are shit, forks are even more shit (Suntour XCM coil). Changed the fork to a Rockshock air spring and new wheel/axle bought cheap of FB marketplace. Can’t believe how much better it is with the fork change. I actually enjoyed riding it. When you dropped of a curb there was a clunk from the fork. A bigger clunk when you jumped of anything. The wheels will never leave the ground when she is riding though.

I weighed at 25.74kg ( digital scales) about the same as the Whyte 160.

I will measure up tomorrow. Hopefully it can work. I hate riding with a camel pack.

Pump looks good but I have a fidlock (?) water bottle as the space for a water bottle is tiny on the ebike. Not sure if the twist lock will work with the pump.

If its like my ‘Ebike rated’ 36’s the steerer wall is thicker so internal diameter is too small for an EDC.

Thanks, its a ebike 38. That will be the issue👍🏻

You will need to change the cable from the motor I suspect as it requires a connection from the motor and also a connection from the thumb controller so two cables go into the mount.

The cables come with the upgrade kit.

Is this an additional cable to go with the cable already in the Purion?

I can only find one video showing the install and the guy has to remove the motor which i would rather avoid if possible as the bike is new.

The smart lock feature enables automatically when you remove the display from the mount, not a deterrent as such but does mean thieving scrotes won’t be able to run the motor.

    Thanks for this info.

The lock is my main interest. I never leave my bikes anywhere when out, if I go with my son anywhere someone always stays with the bikes. But have had two stolen from home previously. We have an Asgaurd shed at the side of the house and its a nightmare getting an ebike out so anything that can make this more of a nightmare is a bonus :) Shed faces the side of the house and the shed doors open just enough without touching the wall of the house. That probably explains nothing:)

I doubt I will use the navigation as I doubt I will ever use it on the road.

Had the Kiox on my last bike and when I bought my new bike I ordered the Kiox for it
Far more date, maps option if ye want to use it
    Plus the motor lock feature
    Big yes from me

Is it easy to fit? And does the lock feature leave the locked until the display is returned to the cradle?

40” was the biggest we were ever having as the wife had a false chimney type wall built and the TV fitted in a 41” inch hole inside 😃. Now have 55” that covers the hole and fits perfectly to the size of the false bit.

Now SHE wants a 75” screen but not on the wall.

Love the cinema but wife hates it and covid killed her enthusiasm completely. But likes the amazon £14.99 new release rent movies.

Have a projecter in the guest room (wife)/ the cinema (son). It is amazing for the price-Optoma 42 with a 4k fire stick, xbox and switch share the 1.4 HDMI socket. Less than 100” due to room size.

WC has been nice and FIFA23 also. But we only have an older Bose under TV speaker that is ok. Downstairs on the tiny 55” we have a LG sk9 (maybe wrong id) with wireless rears. Sounds amazing for a SB, but has been years since I have a multi speaker system.

Need to balance up the sound and vision😃

Ace, minutes ago I thought to myself that I would not eat anything if we didn’t have a dishwasher 😃

Never had one before this wife but now the thought of hand washing after eating is terrifying.

But…. I also think spending hours cooking and minutes eating is crazy. Wife totally disagrees.

We have two rock shaped speakers, mini amp from amazon & external Cat6 cable from work.

Sounds great in the garden. I took the dog for a walk when the wife had her mothers with kids round once, could hear the music streets away. Never crossed my mind how loud it must be. So we are the selfish neighbours.

    Thank you-

    Aarma BLX2050kV. With 2x 3s 5200 50c

    FTX 2000kv with 2x 2s 6200mah 50c

As they are both 2nd hand they may had a tuning card connected.

Got one for the Outlaw to make it easier for son to pull away and stop rolling over when braking.

I didnt expect sons new hobby to take up as much time and money😃

    Battery expert help please

We bought a FTX Outlaw and have managed to snap it almost every time we have gone out. So bought a S/H DR8 (and now a Aarma Senton) hoping to be stronger.

Came with a single 3s battery, 11.1v 4500 3s 55c. Does it have to be paired with another with same numbers or can it be used with any another 3s?

Runs great on 2x 2s but out of control with 2x 3s. Senton seems slower running 2x3s than the DR8 with 2x 2s. Is this a motor or battery issue?

It’s the Blue shell version, can’t remember the price paid though. It was Black Friday deal. No idea what the difference is in the two versions. With the large travel on the shocks it twists a lot when accelerating on the rear wheels. Brushed may do also.

It is bad that your’s broke so soon, ours was driver error, like a dog with a broken leg when he picked it up with one corner hanging down. He was so upset, practice on the football pitch for a bit when fixed.

I have ordered this card that plugs into the ESC and can limit the power a bit until he is safer in the woods.

Son received his FTX Outback to much joy over christmas (dad equally). Hoever after about 10-12 goes/play around the motor appears to have burnt out. Im sending it back (Amazon), but i have expect the next one to have the same issue. I appreciate motors are relatively cheap, so in anticipation of it happening again brand motor will last longer than the stock 550 that’s in it? Or do i get a brushless??”

2nd time out with son’s FTX Outlaw and clipped a tree breaking the suspension holder and bending the pin. 1st time out had to sort the front left shock as it was stuck solid (easy fix though) and the spare wheel flew off the back. Not sure if any of the parts are checked before leaving the factory :)

The spare bits are really cheap though, but I expect to be upgrading plastic for aluminum spares regularly. 11 year olds and brushless may have been a bad idea.

Many thanks, lots of tips. Sounds like a right pain in the arse.

He only uses it BMX/pump tracks (surprised at how many we have locally). Or riding around the park across the road chasing pokemon.

He can use his feet as a backup for now :)

If the pro 4 is the front then you can convert that from 20mm non boost to 15mm boost. Hope make a kit. The wheel will need redishing.

I will look into this, I think I binned the hope front wheel when I couldn’t get the tubeless to stay up. Although still confused on the 110mm on 100mm forks

Its a 20mm axle, gap on forks looks like 110 and the other front wheel I had on another bike with the forks is 110 also.

When did scrap prices rocket up?

Went to EMR to today with a bit of data/power cable. Been saving it up for a a few months and was wondering if i could be bothered cutting all the kettle plugs off for a few £. Spent about an hour

£2124 a ton. Highest I can remember it being.

    And i had 157 kilos 😃

“That sounds like a fair price although for what it’s worth we make pizzas from fresh bases in our regular fan oven and it comes out as good as anything from people’s pizza ovens but with far less effort, so it’s more of a hobby thing.”

Got to be a troll post😵😃

We have progressed with the home pizza making tools-

Stone for the oven, made the base better but not much else.

BBQ add on – was really good but took way longer to cook for each pizza. Shit for when you have guests.

Gas ooni- maybe not 60s a pizza but pretty close. Just dont walk away from the oven and keep turning. Amazing pizza,

Aldi pizza base is a great back up for when you screw up the dough. Although dont try to make it into a ball and roll. Anybody know why it just wont roll back into a circle?, like when the yeast has failed on my diy dough.I just roll it this and cut it in half for a rustic Zizzi stle base.

Unscrewed the possible sticky schraeder valve core from the fork?

Yes, tried that and shocked at how normal it felt and worked.

A new recon seems like a better deal than a refurb of a fork 6 years older than my son 😃 can you say why it would be worthwhile refurbing?

The wheels will only ever be of the ground when being lifted from the van at the start of a ride.

Curious to what was right wing comedy I youtubed Leo Kearse. Quite funny in bits but still very tame. Is he not playing at being a “right wing comedian” ?

His bit on the modern SNP was actually pretty accurate.

And was Jerry Sadowitz a right wing comedian??

I once had to report a missing parcel (phone) to the police because their gps said they had been in the area and that they had delivered to number 5. Number 5 were in holiday. And they refused to refund without police contact. I now have a £50 limit on ordering anything on Amazon.

They then emailed me accusing me of fraud, but went silent when I asked how many parcels actually delivered to my address had gone missing.

This is what I was expecting from Amazon.

But again I can not really fault the service they provide. RC car for sons xmas, axle snapped. Took pictures but couldn’t find anywhere to add them to the return section. Was expecting an interrogation about how it broke and how aggressively it had been used. Few hours after dropping off at collection shop we had a full refund.

    Ebuyer.com though………
Bought Hard drive for PC build on the 15th December, paid extra for next day delivery. Failed to be detected so had use the backup in my PC. Return was painless enough with collection by courier but replacement drive received on Saturday (9th)

Submit a leave request for the dates. You can take leave whilst on furlough and should be at full pay whilst doing so.

How much leave have you taken? the Between June and August all the other AL was used.

Booked 7 days from the 21st, all approved in summer. We have a change freeze over xmas on the site I cover normally have the AL but still cover when needed. Every cloud though, wont need to curse every time the phone rings :)

I had to digitally sign a form, now signed I cant access it as it says “already signed”

But in the text we were encouraged to book Al in the Furlough period but cant carry over any unused leave.
