Thanks, quite a few to give a view.

There is something special about a well written brittish drama/movie. IMHO

Loads that have been slated I have made an effort to watch. Most recent was The Lone Ranger which I have no idea why it was slated so much. Maybe a bit long but Enjoyable.

Even more great tips, more thanks.

    Despite an almost disastrous start.
We had 15 mins to spare when train was leaving and like a total bellend I wanted a half decent coffee from Cafe Nero. I jumped of the train went down the escalator and had to go through the exit with others getting off other trains. I was now back by Cafe Nero with a train ticket but no passport.

Mad panic to get back through security, overheard security saying they had a trespasser and was marched towards the passport booths and asked which officer I went through with. The guy who checked ours didn’t recognise me until I mentioned my wife asked him to stamp sons passport. Let on with a telling off about the not being worth missing a holiday.

What an amazing place. Will post more later

Sequoia Lodge is where we will be sleeping and eating

Not there for a full week, we return home on Thursday.

Smoking not an issue any more, but it was weird when I first visited France when I smoked going to the only shop in the shopping centre that sold tobacco. :D

We have a character dining booked. But wife has didn’t tell me the price

Don’t get one of the Chinese sets with the made up battery pack because the pack will be worthless.
Just get a XM-L flashlight (not the cheapest one you can find), some good brand name batterys and a basic mount, and you’re set to go.
The flashlight is basically the same as an exposure light, but with the added bonus if something goes wrong/needs fixed (rare), you can easily do it yourself instead of having to send it away, plus you can easily take a spare battery with you and swap it over in seconds.
If you want me to list the sort of items you need to buy, let me know.

In the manuals geometry section it mentions

“Through bolt in the top hole” and “Through bolt in bottom hole”
and has two different figures for each regarding angles lengths.

I did not know what bolt they were referring too but if it cant be adjusted it will have stay at what it is.

My point exactly, finally a decent 27.2 dropper has been produced.
Yes, my Gravity Dropper classic has been so awful, working almost infallibly for years in often hideously muddy conditions. Other GD owners complain of the same problem of excessive reliability compared to more fashionable/prettier dropper posts…

We’ll mine has been shit. Self serviced and paid for service twice. Sticks up or sticks down after a few rides. Bought after everybody say they were bomb proof.
Ordered my Thomson in March so hopefully get it this week.

Heamatolgy visit today. No riding bikes or anything else until at least have a platelet count of at east 80. An then no wheels of the ground type riding.

I now have 3 specialists who have now idea what is really wrong, which is a bit shit as I had hoped to have something less to worry about.

Thanks again for all the info others have posted.

I have a Vivofit and I like it. I had been using it with the HRM when on bike but now banned from cycling.t’s only used to remind me to getup from my desk. My wife bought me it as I got chubby from working at a desk after years on the tools.

She bought the blue strap and I can’t find a black replacement anywhere.
I quite like the sleep monitor.

    Hang on.

I didn’t take it as one, I was happy to be told not to go on my bike. Last thing I want is for someone who took the time on a Saturday to kindly reply to my post to get any sort of trouble.

Great help Alan thank you very much, I should have asked here first before looking at other sites.
Amazing that I get the information I required on a MTB forum that I couldn’t find on the medical ones.

I will give the bike a miss for a while I guess I knew it was a bad move to think about it.

I’ll put my new Hope V4s on and look at them instead of using them tomorrow.

Thanks, I don’t feel like I am about to die that’s why I would like to go out on the bike but the first few forum post made think a little bit :)

My platelet count was 28 when called back to hospital. Last one was 16. Now waiting for a haematologist appointment since the last doctors visit. When I was at the doctors she told me she was more concerned with the other problem and that I would need a platelet transplant if it went to around 10.
I have to have another blood test On Tuesday.

    Man Bites Dog

    Bad Boy Bubby

    These two are quite challenging.

Man bites Dog I watched at the Edinburgh Film House when it came out, not watched since but should watch again to see if it’s as shocking.

Bad boy Bubby was ace if a bit disturbing. Watched it with absolutely no idea what the synopsis was. Wife got from blockbuster in a rent three for the price of two deal. She couldn’t choose the third so grabbed Bubby.

From IMDB one of many great quotes

“Angel’s Mother: If God had wanted us to be fat, he’d just made us all the same way, wouldn’t he? But he didn’t! God doesn’t like fat people! Fat people are an abomination in his eyes!”

My brother was on £110k plus a bonus and was unable to get a loan for a car. Our mother took a loan out for him and he missed the payments regularly. He blames having 3 kids for having no money. They don`t go to a posh school and our mother has done free childcare for years. Some people just cant help spending money.
