I know some of the jumps have been taking a few people out…

This is because almost all trail center jumps are badly built. As in too short for the transition so over jumping is easy. It also means that people who ‘learn’ to jump at trail centers don’t learn proper technique. The ones at gisburn are some of these.

strava is probably a good training tool. I won’t use it though cos of how much people go on about it. plus on my phone it would rinse the battery (I have used similar gps apps) and I refuse to shell out money on a garmin.

In fairness I was on holiday in rural Spain and the I went in the local bar / cafe in the morning for coffee and the local work force were on it already drinking rum/brandy at about 9 in the morning before they went off to work. Then in the afternoon 2-5 they were back on it and then after work 10 ish to the small hours they were back on it again. Including crawling into their work vans and driving around the mountain roads of southern spain.

Like wise in northern Italy me and a mate were drinking with a group of Italian ladies. We drank a lot of spirits; several bottles of vodka between us and then they all got in their cars and drove off down mountain roads (when I suggested they came back to our tent that is).

apparently cats hate citrus. so the best way to keep cats out of your garden in neither buy your own cat or a dog but buy a pet lemon. just remember a lemon is for about two days not for life.
