Well no; however I thought you showing reverse snobbery to carbon frames and suggesting that they were the reserve of the Surrey elite based on their price.

five frame, CCDB coil, Fox 36 RLC…

    Not much cheaper than a

    carbon nomad or mojo hd

Calm down hob nob. Yes there are people who ride bikes faster than other people. I was asking questions not making statements. I should have put a ? in there where the first . was.

But S-works enduro is pretty much the same in terms of travel as a mojo hd 160 and has a slightly longer tt and slightly slacker ht and a slightly shorter rear end which I would say gives it slightly better geometry.

Doing it right is harder. But, well…

    This made me laugh.

Who said Mojo HD two pages ago?

This or a Nomad. Great bikes made by companies who look after their customers.

I think that the geo on the mojo is not perfect and neither is the nomad c. Also don’t Nomad C crack at the seat stays?

S-works enduro is the perfect bike/frame regarding geometry but you can’t get them in the uk.

For that kind of cash i would be buying a frame and building up my own bike

In fairness for that kind of cash you should be buying an s-works enduro frame and building it up….. but oh yeah

To the OP, the big difference for say pro cycling and tennis and many other Olympic sports is that the Olympics is the be all and end all so once it’s over there’s nothing else to train for that season. That’s not the case for pro cycling.

Is that why team GB men’s football team forgot to actually turn up to the Olympics?

But in fairness if you were to break down the hours per day working then look at it you would probably be more like 25 days of the year working (this is not my real opinion).

    F1 drivers to be sportsmen/athletes

Don’t a lot cycle as a form of cross training? In fact is cycling not used as a form of cross training for a whole heap of sports? However isn’t the only cross training cyclist do cyclocross?

I have a team replica madonne but it cost me £650 second hand so I feel that I must take drugs at least on a recreational level to feel like I am doing the machine some justice.

In the spirit of helmet thread speculation I’ll speculate that if he had been using a mirror he could have avoided the truck hitting him altogether by swerving to the nearside, if necessary off the road. I’ve done it myself.

Yes but however uncool you look with a helmet on you look quadruply uncool with a mirror on you bike; and lets face it its better to die looking cool then to survive whilst having a mirror on your bike.

Footballers suffer cramp due to spending most of the recovery time between matches engaged in intercourse with glamour models getting drunk, smoking, taking coke and glassing revelers in night clubs.

Do other athletes work as hard as cyclists?

No other sport has as long a competitive season except maybe tennis. Though if you lose at a grand slam in the first round you don’t have to keep competing.

All your bike-park features – table tops, jumps, big berms everywhere on wide fast tracks that are a massive ugly scar on the countryside.

Firstly the jumps at a lot of trail centers are often awful, lips to steep and high for the length of the jumps so you have to squash the hell out of them; or two mounds meant to be a double going uphill. If they are going to put jumps there the people who build the jumps should be able to jump so that they know how to make it flow.

Secondly a lot of the berms are in the wrong place at trail centers making them completely useless anyway.

In essence they should build all the features you don’t like but only if they are going to build them in a way that works.

Looking at You tube videos is not research.

I think it the most effective way of researching.

Admittedly by this I mean researching the epic fails of 2012 and other years should you feel the desire.
