Just heard them at the HMV Picture House in Edinburgh.

One of the best gigs I've been too 🙂 Alison Mosshart rocks……..

Bought the album some time ago so was aware of most of the tunes but some of the new stuff they played, blew me away. The sound they generated. Can't wait for the next album 8)

Did I also mention that Alison Mosshart rocks

After hearing about the 'service' received by Trail_rat it won't be a bad idea and if things go all pear shaped (relentless-esque) after the 'puffer' I might even land as lucky as Terry and get black box damping replacments 8)

    Jammy……..

Not that I'm even thinking of the 'puffer' yet!!

Was impressed by the Reba WC's I must say. Sold them to a mate who got the fork to sit far better than I ever did on the headset with no play at all, so a Reba would be on the 'possibility' list. I am a tart though and would only take one as good as the one I just sold…..so WC's all the way 😉

The Durin looks impressive and some can be had for my budget. Any reviews worth reading?

    Aye……..tis a good suggestion.

Been keeping an eye out for a good specimen 😀

Don't like the silver arch ones though (yes, i'm a tart)

Had a funny feeling SID's had issues with our 'trails'……..

Only reason I sold the Reba WC's was the carbon steerer and the fact that I could never really get it to 'sit' properly.

Gordy….happy to pick strong-light-expensive, but my question is which one? as it seems there's a few on the market which meet the criteria only to be let down by our weather conditions/seals/heavy maintenance. So I'm looking for the 'best' fork for the racing I do.

Swayndo……get back in yer box son. Hope the sleep helped, cause you were no help on this forum chum!

I went for the Lites and so glad I did in the end. Sizing is on the big size too which allows you to wear full longs, 3/4's or simply shorts under them.

My only complaint is the length of the legs. They come up quite short on me and I'm not even that tall 5'9".

Had them on early morning at Relentless with 3/4's under. They were spot on for me and kept them on till the finish. Not too hot even at 12noon.

Two seconds over nearly 25hrs racing……now thats tough!

Good effort but hard luck too. Did you know at the time that the rider in front was the 'enemy'!!?

Terry…….thats bad news mate. You were flying up to that point. Had you down for a podium too. Tough learning curve. Your game plan up to that lap was far better than mine as I should have stayed out for a few more laps while the weather stayed dry! Just couldn't bring myself to leave that warm sleeping bag at 4am when the rain was tippin it down. Managed a strong 5 laps in the morning (and a puncture/no pump disaster) but by then I was way down. Got 10th though which I'm delighted with considering its only my second 24.
Good training for the puffer mind and if you hadn't got caught in the shower….who knows. It small judgements that make or break an Enduro. Hope to see you both in Jan (if not before). Take it easy………..

Scheleschirche-sounds like you heard wrong bud!!

You try cycling that course for +10 laps and you'd have a completely different perspective on it. No rest-bite kinda sum's it up for me.

Most CHALLENGING 24hr course I've ridden. Some of the granny-granny climbs were murder and the new singletrack sections just exploded into a mud fest with no actual line just point, shot and hold on 🙂

15 Laps solo (5hrs sleep) and well feeling 'it'. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and NoFuss put on an excellent event. Top marks from me. That last descent into the quarry was ace.

Relentless by name – Relentless by nature!

I'm off to gorge on food 😀

If I had the cash Ken I would have gone for them. But needed a race XC wheelset and went for Hope instead!

Hubs are not the lightest on the market if that matters, but reliable and engagment second only to Kings. They look super sweet too 🙂

Not cheap but a good investment IMO. (and info on them is scarce)

Brother in law has the disco ones. Faultless for a few years now.

Cheers MisterP. Thats what I've been after.

Do I need any 'special shimano' tools, as is the case with most shimano?

I'm not very handy at maintenance. How easy to remove spindle?

Use an old flat bar over the allen key for extra leverage.

Had a Flux before that which was immense (just a little on the heavy side for me!)

    Good effort there Kbrembo 🙂

Easy to watch and the clip flowed – just like Balbalir does. Love those trails.

Must have taken you ages to set up the shoot for one clip, ride it, then head back to collect the camera on set up for the next shot.

    Was worth it though.

    Giants didn't even turn up!!

Was disappointed to see Brown going off…….game over after Anderson's try.

Enjoyed the first half though….superb entertainment.

Stick to Reba's in my opinion. More rigid with 32mm stanchions, better seals, less maintenance and more reliable.

Old SIDs were replaced by the Reba for all the obvious reasons as stated in your original post.

Can also be picked up quite cheap on classifieds if patient.

If weight is not an issue, Zocchi marathons would be another choice. Reliable as………….

Reckon it should be a good game Hora. Been watchin all the games so far and this is probably the Giants best opportunity for some silverware to date.

Warrington will either turn up and give them a good run for there money or I personally think i'll be dominated by Giants with the scoreline remaining tight but just too strong for the Wolves.

I'm going to have a few beers watching the game any way 🙂

    Enjoy

Is that equivalent to 100mm fork then, with a 420mm being 80mm?

Was told I finished 4th but demoted to 5th place seniors 😕 (damn that killer last lap) Well done Mark + Ewan. 12 laps is a fantastic effort.

I'll be back next year 😀
