Doctor….thanks for confirming that. We too had looked at the bus timetables and had worked out the same times. But your right, I reckon it’ll be a tad on the busy side on the way home. We may just bite the bullet and hire a car, but we arrive the day before late on and had hoped just to have an early start, head over to the bus station and then hike it.

Had a great day and first competitive ‘vets’ race so to finish 2nd was a result for me after a year out. Sterling effort by all soloist’s in that heat.

Radoggair…..you made me feel my age on that last lap after passing on the final decent. Asked you how it was going to hear lap 11, near ended me. Your mate had a good one too, just too good for me on the day even if I did do another lap. See you guys around I’m sure:-) Whats next?

Druidh: I have all the kit ready for a new frame and fork. The GTC will still be used and I’m planning some tri bars on it for TT duties. Head down over winter earning cash and wanted to buy something I’d take great pride in and enjoy riding/racing on.

Steve @ Squarewheels is also looking at a Cube upgrade but just thought I’d see what else was available on t’ market.

Can’t believe that 1.5k won’t buy a frame and fork that will surpass the Cube.

That argon looks good. Had my eye on one last year.

But does it tick the boxes: fast, lightweight, good handling, comfortable? Anyone ridden any of the suggestions above.

The soda I ride for MTB duties/racing ticks all the above and want a similar road build.

Plasma Radar with Path lens?

Need further advice from the STW massive before placing order. Just been on the Oakley Custom site for Radar Path and the ‘custom’ lens choices are now extremely limited.

Which of the following:
Black, Fire, Ice, Positive red, Slate (all iridium)
or
grey, persimmon, yellow
or
Gold vented (no other vented lens available!!) gutted.

Had wanted the ‘plasma’ (dark grey) frame but only alternative now is the polished white. Anyone know how ‘dark’ or ‘grey’ these are in the flesh as I don’t really want a cheap bright white!

So far my decision is: Polished white with positive red iridium lens, matte black icons and socks. Any advance on that (for both Road + MTB)

What a cracking race. Local lad with loads of support all round the course. Had it not been for some serious stomach cramps a top ten solo place was beckoning: 15 laps in 18hrs. But had to bail………seek.

Endura do a repair service.

Email them and they will give you a repair number. You simply send the garment with said number and they will quote you a price for approval. Usually £15.00 including postage.
