My 10yr old daughter has an half inch thick layer of it on her toast every morning, and it’s done nothing to improve her general performance, which rarely exceeds woeful.

Have to agree my two eldest have this most mornings no improvement at all …..

But, perhaps, I am not taking this far enough – maybe, as pedestrians, we all need a licence and insurance to negotiate roads and paths.

cutting up chickens and large chunks of garlic butter for chicken Kievs
in chunky chicks factory lasted 3 hours …the smell of the garlic butter lingered on my skin for another week though
the thought of chicken Kiev still gives me the boak

Started commuting to work couple of months back was basically in the same situation as yourself
getting out on the bike was becoming once a week/fortnight/month thing, always seemed to be something
else cropped up (three kids are time consuming)
I now do 26 miles a day in all weathers and loving it, if truth be told i kinda prefer the pissing down rain especially on the route home
and it has made a massive difference when i go out on the trails it has really resparked my love of bikes
    and restored my grin 😀

Both my parents died when i was younger, so my kids have never known grandparents on my side,my wifes parents live in the same village and my girls love and adore them,we have pics of my folks in the house and the kids know all about them i’ve never avoided telling them the truth about them being dead and they have accepted it no problem it’s the only way to do it

She has never hit her kids, BUT she does say some very nasty things to them. Usual one is, I’ll smash your face in if you don’t f**ing do as your told.
The C word is used frequently too. Not good considering they are 5 and 2.

    And she works in care!!
while i understand your feeling of loyalty to her kids i would involve social services it’s best all round if you remove yourself from the situation hopefully it will force her to get some badly needed help
    hope it all works out

How’s it look with mudguards, though?

How wet will you get without them ??
just got a mail back from Charge to say clearance too tight for full length mudguards on the 2010 model
    2011 comes with guards

they suggest SKS blade XL but i suppose any 3/4 length rear would do
