We stayed at Fort Clonque in Alderney for my Brother-in-law's stag and had a great weekend. Good curry house and a few good pubs as well. Good banter when trying to leave the fort as the tide was coming over the causeway.

GMBC[/url] do a midweek run on a Tuesday and Wednesday and either an away or local Sunday run. They leave from Milngavie.

I'm biased but you can't beat the west end in terms of travel facilities, nightlife etc. Areas like Hyndland, Broomhill, Kelvinside, Kelvinbridge, Partick but it depends on your budget.

I got myself a Yamaha 730S Acoustic and it plays way above its belt in terms of sound having tried some more expensive models in the store. Again head down to your local stores and have a go and I would ask your new tutor what he thinks would be suitable.

My mate sold his Focus ST to some guy who flew over from Ireland!!!! He paid cash

Not that surprising considering the amount ofmoney which can be saved by buying in the UK and paying the VRT when returning to the Republic. Even done it myself for my Father-in-law.

Quite often interviews can be a a lengthy process – I'd say stick at it.

Why would they waste their time interviewing someone they don't want for the 4th time?

docrobster – fair enough. In my case did require appointment due to ongoing symptoms and company policy for a doctor's line for long periods of sick leave.

Try http://www.mtbr.com regional section on their forum to gage trail conditions etc Also you'll probably get good info of places to hire/demo bikes and might even get a guide for a few days.

Got knocked off last Novemeber. Similar story but did not get the details of the lady who hit me and also felt like you are regarding police seemingly caring more about her then than me considering they called her later on to check of she was OK and didn't bother to contact me despite having concussion, dislocated shoulder, sore back etc plus bike was a write off.

I would either do as you state above and get in touch with CTC who will probably pass you on to a proper law firm dealing with claims such as this. Or call your own lawyer and see if he/she can follow up a claim. Make sure you catalogue all equipment damaged plus cost of replacement and get a bike shop to check over the bike. If you've got them keep the names of the police officers who were at the scene and also book an appointment with your GP for some time in the next 7-10 days as injuries can take a few days for them to manifest themselves 9stiffness etc).

I would not bother contacting the driver unless your sure she might want a quick resolution to the potential costs etc. I did not have cycle insurance at the time and did not hear anymore about potential damage to her vehicle. Sounds as though it is completely her fault.

    Hope you feel better!

I'm pretty sure Dave? Shearer has got one – you could get his contact details from Sanny.

I am able to move the gutter whilst clamped into the rack but maybe this is because the screw which attaches the roof rack to the bike rack is a wee bit loose.

I have got two of these racks and have had no trouble in fitting any bikes to be honest.

I know you can shift the gutter back and forth so you can have an even amount of gutter for the fornt and rear tyres. As stated above I have had no probs with clamping my XL Heckler & Hand Job as well as the skinnier tubes on my old steel touring bike and the wife's small On-One. Make sure you are twisting the clamp prior to pulling it down (I think there are arrows which line up) and also when setting the clamp make sure the clamp pops up into position rather than you forcing it up to meet the down tube. Other than that I can't think of anything else.

just ignore what a professional says. after all if you can't afford to be off the bike for 4 weeks, getting back on the bike will just improve the shoulder, especially if you fall off

    Exactly.

See here for an opinion on it. Also a wee bit of info here when I was trying to decide what to buy for commuting. I ended up with a flat bar Merida Speeder T1 which I am very happy with.

I would have thought that you have to tell the airline. Tey may or may not charge you for it as well. If it is a brand new bike you might want "dirty" it up a wee bit just in case you get stopped by customs.
