Neal – obviously you’ve done what we didnt do the first time and multiplied 35 by 1.196, but 1 squared yard = 0.836 squared meters so surely £35 per square yard is £29.26 per square meter (35 x 0.836)? Totally confused and heads about to explode!

Darcy – I haven’t checked but assuming I do what figure or reading would mean I would not have to use liquid DPM? It’s a new build house that has been unoccupied for ~2-3 years.

Slight hijack but if you’re laying engineered flooring on to concrete what type of underlay should you use?

Clontarf Castle is meant to be nice but no idea on price. Friends stayed in the Radisson Blue which was good apparently.

As for things to do…Kilmainham Jail, Modern Art at old barracks at end of Quays near Euston Station, catch a GAA match in Croke Park if there is one on, head for 3 rock for a hike, Merrion Square art sellers.

Excellent lads, thanks for taking the time to give all this advice. Spending most of Saturday on the north Antrim coast but back in Belfast on Sat night so would be cool to catch a trad session with a well earned pint. Getting an Andy Warhol exhibition in would be great! Sunday stroll through botanical gardens would be class as well followed by afternoon tea in The Merchant is right up the wife’s street. Lots to think about! Thanks again!

BlindMelon thanks for the offer of the bikes and a guide is very kind indeed but I reckon Easter Sunday will be busy enough for everyone! Thanks though.

3 months out for Reddan with a broken leg according to RTE.

    I don’t mind at all…spread the word!

Probably the best gift I’ve been given was about 6 years ago when he gave me a painting for my Christmas as he was skint, I was chuffed to bits.

Cracking programme on RTE tonight about Tommy Bowe called Tommy Bowes bodycheck. Check it out covers all the sports science, nutrition etc over the season so far. Very interesting stuff

Very good programme indeed. The stuff about G levels was very interesting especially when Bowe popped his knee it was recorded @ 9.1g! The amount of food the boy had to eat was unreal as well. Could have watched it for hours…

We will dominate the set piece esp the scrum as Gods prop isn’t playing, Cross is a poor scrummager and Tom Court will has a point to prove as this is his first Ire appearance since the Twickenham scrum in reverse incident last year when he was playing out of position. With good ball we have a back line full of pace and creativity to do the damage. Ire by 8-10 points

Just had a good chuckle at Keith Wood on Newstalk (irish radio station) when asked “Scotland sounding in confident mood, should they be Keith?” – his response included a statement that he will have to deal with Andy Nicol at the weekend who will lose the run of himself…in fact he already has 🙂

This was just after Craig Chalmers had given a very good opinion on air to the presenter on the game and had stated that having watched Sco training they seemed confident and accurate.

WTF is the point of these? Wear a kilt or wear a suit. Don’t f*nny about looking like a refugee from the Bay City Rollers.

I have both and very rarely wear the trews which I use for black tie dinners and alike away from home which means I don’t have to lug my kilt about. Otherwise it’s kilt all the way.

I’ve used Slanj Kilts and Taylors in Giffnock in the past and can recommend both. For sporrans my wife bought me a cracking sporran from this guy:

Lamont Sporrans – pleasure to deal with! Got the below sporran in black.

Given the fact that the bulk of the Glasgow squad are on Scotland duty it really shows the depth that we now have. Very very happy right now

Bruce how much of the excellent form do you think is down to Townsend as coach? I for one was surprised when Lineen got shifted out the way but Toonie seems to be doing very well…

As a scotsman I’m very happy with yesterday, thought the forwards played a lot better and fronted up and as was said by the analysts the line speed in defence was excellent (you could even hear the lads shouting line speed through the ref’s mic). Yes two tries were from our own half and the Scottish defence was poor just before Italy’s 10 threw the interception pass to Hogg which could have so easily been a try for Italy. But we were in the Italian 22 3 times in the first half and came away with points on each occasion. Thought the back row were very good and the scrum was a lot better. A lot to be worked on still but a win.

As for Andy Nichol, I’ll forever like the guy as he gave me a Scotland A playing jersey and tracksuit when I was a teenager in the pub in Elie, but listening to him is brutal, Dallaglio was trying so hard to balance the analysis from an Italian point of view. In saying that you’re lucky you don’t watch RTE with Tom McGurk, Brent Pope and George Hook!!

In laws use Bob’s Red Mill Wheat Free and Gluten Free Oats. I’ve eaten them as porridge and they were tasty and also good in crumbles.

Having said that Grey was passed fit but chose to sit the game out to focus on the 6Nwhich I find disappointing

Steve Diamond was interviewed before the game and said Grey had returned form Scotland training injured…or am I being naive?

Have done a 13 mile round trip and 33 mile round trip commute and no way would I do it with a backpack having done it with panniers, mainly for all the reasons already mentioned above. I used to drive for one reason or another once every 5-7 days so took in spare clothes, bags of fruit etc in the car then only needed to carry lunch and maybe socks etc daily.

Make up a menu every week for lunches and dinners ANC buy accordingly and practically never throw out any food. Like the OP in the case of excess veg (celery etc) just make soup or snack on it.

As for riding in the East Neuk I’m sure McMoonter could point you in the right direction…I’ve done rides around Pitmedden Forest, Cardenden plus there is the Fife Coastal Path. If sailing is your thing then the club at Lower Largo is meant to be top notch.
