One time i had a McD’s apple pie, it was so hot i burnt my tounge, when i complained, a spotty dweeb gave me a free cup of ice! :)

I told his manager how happy i was with my ice, so he got his first star on his name badge…………..

My wife just yawned, i have just yawned at the sight of her yawning.

Why when you see someone yawning, does it always make you yawn youself?

I saw a baby robin today

    That’s nothing!

I was at Glentress today, i saw a deer, a squirrel, loads of big black slugs AND a buzzard!

Amazing in itself, but everyone of them spoke to me!

My mate, bless him is only 5′ 8″ – he says ;) Hi Mike! :)

He contacted Cotic about one too, but they reckon folk 5′ 9″ + would be the only ones to benifit from bigger wheels.

Get yourself a Solaris – Can’t say how they ride, but going on mag reviews etc. they sound the nuts!

Im waiting on a green one – Which looks delicious! :) (roll on 1st wk in July!)

Cotic seem very switched on with the design of there frames and tweek them to perfection.

Sweet! i going to run rigid carbon Exotic’s on it temporarily, so a couple of months sounds perfect to let me save! – any idea on pricing?

    YT 150 = Lapierre Zesty

    YT 160 = Lapierre Spicy

    YT 170 = Lapierre Froggy

My guess is they are the exact same frame, good spec for the £

Nice video – i thought you were running with the camera at one point!

+ 1 – Me and the mates love Glentress – What’s not to love, such a good variety, if you want a long haul, do the black, a 4 – 5 hour red, do it a couple of times and session the top 3 sections a few times – Excellent!

Plus the jump park and Berm Baby Berm – Loads of fun!

Im going on Saturday – Looking forward to the mub bath :)

Cycleworld in Arbroath in Scotland is a Cotic dealer.

That’s where im getting mine, can’t fault them – highly recomended.

Im sure they would prep and post a part / full build.

    I think Rochshox have ditched 120mm Reba’s from the line up – It’s now Revelation that are 120 / 130 / 140 in 29″

    You would need to get 2nd hand Reba’s for 120mm – 2010 i think.

He is probably right, but seriously 3 different wheel / tyre sizes???

Not to mention 3 differently designed frame / forks???

    alandavidpetrie79

Bigbudsaws – What forks are they then?

    2013 Revelation 120mm tapered?

    alandavidpetrie79

sheck – Im temporarily going to run Exotic carbon rigid forks, but they will soon be replaced with 2013 RockShox Revelation 120mm 29″

I know the frame is designed for 100mm, but spoke to Cotic and a recent mag review suggests 120mm is fine.

Almost same dilema as mine, narrowed it down to 3:

    Niner EMD 9

    Santa Cruz Highball

    Cotic Solaris

Opted for the Solaris in the end and should get my green one in 2 – 3 weeks :)

A few things swung it for me:

    1) Steel frames and meant to ride nice

    2) My mate has a Soul (26″ Solaris really) and loves it!

    3) Lastly the clincher – That green is wicked! :)

Bike looks awesome! Nice build :)

    podman –

Looks nice, I especially like the head tube, would be great to see that on the Simple and Solaris in the future!

The Solaris has a 44mm headtube, so can run any fork steerer size.

    I get my green Solaris in 2 – 3 weeks – can’t freekin wait! :)

Superficial – I google searched ( can’t find it now :( ) and found that Shimano are aware of an issue with these brakes – where the banjo fitting is crimped onto the hose,

The machine in the factory was not crimping them properly – my fault – No.

So why should i be out of pocket in any way for there cock-up?

And as for how much i paid for them – that does not even come into it IMO.

    1981miked – Ha, ha.

I have many local bike shops, the most local to me is the one i’ll never set foot in again.

Cycleworld in Arbroath on the other hand, i will be in again, bit more of a journey, but they have a mechanic! – A thing of dreams for my most lbs salesman.

Cheers, so many folk saying i should bleed them myself??? – Nonsense.

I have emailed Rose – Hope to get this resolved soon.

Poor show from Rose not checking the bits that they sent back me thinks.

My point is it should have come back assembled.

I could bleed it myself, but would need to buy fluid = more money!

+ it gets worse, went to fit it to the bike – it is missing the banjo bolt and a banjo o ring!

    Frigging nightmare! :(

Lesson learned – buy from lbs in future!
