Anyone know when the 2013 120mm 29er Rev’s will be available?

Going to dress my Solaris with them soon :)

    I have a pair of 5-10 Impact Low 2’s

Re. the cardboard sole – there is a cardboard sole liner under the insole, but nothing wrong with that is there?

Would’nt stop me from buying another pair, as they are amazingly grippy on good flats.

My mate actually removed the cardboard after it broke up when he put them through the washing machine and has been using them with just the insole with no probs.

    Happy Riding! :D

Alpine bikes bled it for me yesterday, but informed and showed me that it was faulty and seeping fluid.

I have 2 bikes, so no big deal.

I will send it back and hope it gets sorted out soon.

Going to try what DrP suggested and send it back to Fin, who is within the UK and works for Rose – i think…………

DrP – Would you suggest me contacting Fin and maybe sending it back to him then?

    Just had a look.

The torx head bolt holds on side, an allen key ( banjo bolt ) holds the other, both done up tight.

If i go messing about taking the caliper apart, i will probably void any warranty i have with Rose.

I do have the same brakes on my hardtail, so doing a bit of swapping between bikes in the mean time.

The mechanic at Alpine Bikes said he did that.

Will have a look myself tho.

    Update!

Rose agreed to refund me for a brake bleed! :D

On the other hand, just got round to fitting caliper on Friday past, took it to Alpine Bikes Glentress yesterday to get it bled and it is also leaking fluid!

The kind chap never charged me though.

At least i know where it is coming from now.

The fluid is seeping from where the two piece caliper joint is.

Another long haul waiting – freeking bad times

I run 10mm Bolt – up on my SC Nomad and have had my wheels for my Cotic changed to match :)

I did notice a differance, seemed to tighten the rear up.

34t 11-36 on a 29er will require some strong legs / low mass for the big climbs!

Im running 1×10 on my Cotic Solaris – when it arrives.

    I bought a Sram X9 short cage mech for use on a 34T chainring / 11-36T cassette.

I have a Paul’s chain keeper to ‘keep’ things in place and hoping this will work ok!

( Previous research on tinterweb suggested it will )

+ 1 for Hope Pro 2 Evo build – So easy to change the front Qr – 15mm – 20mm with adaptors.

You can also change the rear to 10mm Bolt-thru or Bolt-up and stiffen the rear and it will fit in standard drop-outs.

I run them with Stans Flows and they are sweet :)

In our work, this time round is the first with the changes.

I had one a few years back, i paid it over 18 months and there was a final payment of around £50.

This time, it’s still paid over 18 months, but there is an 18 month delay for the final payment – not even sure how much it will be :(

Think i paid around £700, maybe £750 in total back then.

    + 1 for torx

If that fails slot it and hope for the best with a screwdriver

Or, it’s a long shot, but try calling Hope and ask for advise?

They might be able to get it out for you?

    Hi Dave,

    Based on £1000 voucher:

My wage packet today had my first C2W payment off it – £8.50 a week less take home pay

    £8.50 x 78 weeks = £663 + 10% of the initial voucher value (i think) £100

    Total: £763

    :)
