It would be pretty close to perfect if it had better tyre clearance

What size tyres would you want to run on it?

My tyres are 2.2″ – wouldn’t want to go wider…………

If a dog came near me when im out on the bike and got aggressive, i would not hesitate to get off and give it a good kicking.

    Simples.

The cycle paths round my local area are littered with dog mess – NOT THE DOGS FAULT I KNOW…..

It is a disgrase! Especially as i use the same paths walking the kids

 ….. Wanders off topic slightly!

Been running my 1 x 10 set-up on my Solaris for a while now, sadly only managed 2 trips to Glentress which isn’t that rough, but did the black and the red and chain never came off once

Do have the chain about as short as it could be tho………

P.S. My short cage mech doesn’t have a clutch either.

Yes, I’ve had this recently. Some folk were so keen then they just vanish off the face of the earth. One guy said he was going to buy something from me… then I hear he has to hopefully sell his frame at the weekend first before buying it. wtf. Get the money together, ask yourself if you really want the item, THEN get back to me!

I think some folk are just bored……..

Had at least 3 Wassack’s say they would take it before the guy that took it got in touch through Pinkbike.

Winstanleys – £520 posted, they had 20% off.

dirtyrider – That shop would be £520 in total too then……..

    That link info is incorrect:

    Adjustable travel by internal spacer.

    Dual Air

With independently adjustable positive and negative air spring chambers, Dual Air is race or trail ready, highly tunable, and one of the lightest air spring systems on the market.

    They are actually Solo Air.

RS only do 2 Revelation 29er forks:

Solo Air in white RRP. £650

Dual Position in black RRP. £750

At least getting them from a UK shop means any future Warranty claims will be dealt with in the UK……….

    NO NEED!

    1 X 10 all the way.

32T chainring with a 11-36T cassette is perfect for trail centre riding IMO.

And when 11 speed cassettes hit the market, at a guess 36T chainring will be even better IMO.

No need for any heavy gearbox nonsense, just something else to go wrong.

No way! – Mine is lime green too! :-)

Currently built with eXotic carbon rigids.

Post pics when it’s ready and I will do the same.

It was TF that told me to convert to 120mm, they would fit a spacer.

It’s the Dual Position (DP) model, rrp. £750 and only available in black that are fixed at 140mm.

I opted for the Solo Air RCT3’s, same as u.

Will have mine tomorrow, as they got dispatched this morning Parcelforce 24.

We will b bouncing on 120 soon enough my friend.

What bike r urs going on?

Mine r for my Cotic Solaris.

YOU DON’T NEED AN IBIS RIPLEY!!

But you did NEED to sell an orange Mk.2 Soul to build another orange Mk.3 Soul…..

Running: 32T with a 11-34 on my Nomad

    34T with a 11-36 on my Solaris

Been running 1 x set-ups for 5+ years now, no need for any more gears for trail centre riding IMO.

bigjim – 18bikes told me what you have posted above, but Fishers say different???

    So im really confused :(

Wait and see when the forks arrive at the end of the week.

My local Alpine Bikes at Glentress said they could do it and are very knowledgable and trustworthy, so im taking them there.

    Cheers.

Just ordered mine from Winstanleys – nowt the wife can do about it now! ;-)

Paid £520 posted and they only had one pair left.

According to Fishers the travel is adjusted down by fitting a spacer you get supplied with the forks?

Will need to wait and find out, should have them by the end of the week :-)

Then project Solaris trail bike will be complete – making way for project Ibis Ripley next year ;-)

32T with 11-34 on my 26″ SC Nomad

34T with 11-36 on my 29″ Cotic Solaris

Both used for trail riding, various locations.

Never felt i needed any more / less teeth.

    MuddyDave –

‘Actually looking at the SRAM site it does indicate that REBAs are 80/100/120 so I suspect the spacer still applies’

    I just noticed that too.

    Strange that in 2011 they did a 120mm, 2012 only 100mm, then back to 80/100/120mm in 2013???

    The mind bogles!

I spoke to 18bikes about it, they said i would need to buy a 120mm cartridge at a cost of £90 to change the 140’s to 120mm.

At least that way they would be even stiffer with + 20mm more stantion in the lower :)

Looking at £620 all in though – Ouch!
