    Daffy:

“The cable routing for the V-Twin is just appalling, especially if you run cables through your bars; it’s nigh on impossible to make neat whilst still getting a smooth operation which is comparable to normal hydros.”

    The pic above suggests otherwise?

Looking at this, mine should look just as neat – im guessing I just need the first bit of outer from the lever & just fit all the Hope lovelyness from there….. :-)

    Thanks all.

Especially MrPotatoHead coz I know you have a 2015, same as what I will have soon :-)

You want to buy a brand new chainset & bb?

    £350 ish – might consider others….

Yes, Arch EX are the same profile as Crest, just beefier internally.

    Thanks.

The KCNC design looks better I think (threaded sleeve)

The Rotor one is almost identical too, but £10 more expensive.

Am I correct in saying the Praxis one is actually an adapter & bb?

If so, the £60 asking price seems reasonable.

MrPottatoHead – Which shop did you buy it from?

    I’ve been told the 2015 isn’t available yet……

    Definitely having one though! :-)

Think I might change the brakes, wheels & tyres straight away.

A few pics from the Kona website.

The 1st pic suggests it comes with plenty of stem spacers to adjust front end height! :D

    Decision made.

Yes, new to Cannondale – as above I have always liked them, but never owned one.

    Niner CX?

What’s the model name & how much was it?

I like the Cannondale & the spec is excellent.

Wonder why they felt the need to splatter ‘Cannondale’ all over it…….

That aside, it would probably look ok – wonder if they are just stickers that can be removed???

    Thanks all so far.

    That Kona I accidentally deleted:

    MrPottatoHead:

Did you try the Kona before you bought it?

The size chart I looked at suggested id need a 63cm frame! :?

Goggles idea is a good one – will try that.

Jamie couldn’t believe how manky his ride was, so had to give it a spruce up:

I was hit side on by a motorist while cycling to work. I was wearing a helmet that split on impact. I was taken to hospital & off work for 3 days. Turns out I broke 3 metatarsals in my foot. Damage to bike & equipment totalled rouhly £1200.

I got offered £5000, but that was nearly a year after the accident.

Settled for £6500 in the end a few months after that.

It’s not just the injuries & losses though – I still have a fear when approaching the junction & go a different way to work now.

    All the best.

“Your neighbours garden is bloomin’ lovely”

They are retired & have plenty time on their hands.

    We work full-time & have 2 young kids (1&3)

Im looking to make ours low maintenance & child friendly.

    Thanks for all so far.

Sounds like Rock salt mixed in hot water is the answer.

+ 1 for Myhermes. Used them a good bit recently for the heavier / bulkier stuff.

Once you are set up its so easy to arrange a delivery, they can collect from your door too for an extra 20p.

If you add a ‘safe place’ you don’t even need to be in when they collect :-)

Just bought a Specialized Echlon yesterday – very happy with fit, comfort & weight.

Bang on budget too – doubt you’ll find better for £50, unless you get one on sale.

CRC code: HEL20 for an extra 20% off might get you something nice……

Well, as above we rode Laggan & Glenlivet.

Glenlivet was awesome! Flowy for about 75% & very, very fast in bits.

We all thoroughly enjoyed it & will definitely be returning.

    Pity its so far North…..

    +1 for Glentress.

5 mins along the road from Peebles.

    Loads of options.

Might be worth driving up to the Buzzards Nest car park & session the pump track for a while to get a feel for the place.

A great time will be had by all – Guaranteed.

    Enjoy! :-)
