It could be a bit of a nightmare if you can’t remove the original bushings?

    Correct me if I’m wrong….

    Nice bike.

If you are unsure, invest in a Thule 598 – it has a redesigned clamp which is kind to carbon, as it has a torque limiter.

    Might not need new forks.

I know a bloke that got a crash replacement SC frame: 26 – 27.5 & stuck with his original forks.

Are your hubs worth building new rims on?

Might not be as expensive as you think….

    Thanks sillyoldman.

3 seconds on google images proves normality.

Really? – tried that pre – post.

    Still can’t find anything.

When I first posted up pics in August another member said that the exact same thing happened to his mates bike – same bike, cracked in the same place.

The 2016 frame now has a front mech / chain guide mount point – also strengthened the problem area I’d say….

    I’ve got a 2016 Sight 7.1 – love it!

The spec is incredible for the money.

Its a Warranty replacement for my 2015 Sight 7.1 which sadly cracked :(

My new steed came with Schwalbe Magic Mary up front & a Nobby Nic Mk2 out back.

    It feels real nice.

Can you definitely make a personal injury claim after they have fixed the bike etc?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but if they offer to fix it, it may be a full & final offer?

I got knocked off my bike a few years ago & got a substantial payout through a No Win, No Fee outfit. The insurance company never once questioned the bill they supplied them with which was brand new parts replacing some 2 year old stuff.

The bulk of the payout was personal injury as I did fracture a few bones in my foot.

We go on a lads biking holiday most years.

Base ourselves in or just outside Dumfries.

    That opens the door for:

    Dalbeattie

    Kirroughtree

    Ae Forest

    Mabie

We love it & always have a great time.

As for a good night scene, dare I say Dumfries? – It’s a good laugh if nothing else (Apologies to any residents) Plenty of pubs to choose from.

Hope you have a blast wherever you go.

    No.

You really think you will need 1400 lumens?

I’ve just got a Cateye Volt 800 & it’s more than bright enough for commuting.

IMO the only downside of the Solaris, not enough tyre clearance… :(

I just pulled mine off, turning at the same time.

Most of the above advice wouldn’t be much good if you have carbon bars…..

I bought a new 2015 Norco Sight 7.1 Carbon at the end of July this year.

2nd run on it, the seat tube cracked:

I’m currently awaiting delivery of a 2016 as a replacement.

They have ‘changed’ the frame for this year, by adding a front mech / chain guide mount:

It was until that point the best bike I’ve ever ridden.

Can wait to get the new one….
