Can we report this thread for breaking the rules please? It’s a minor infraction so a one week ban should be sufficient.

Jawbreaker for me, good fit, like the adjustable leg length and just work well. Prism trail lens and a clear lens covers the whole year.

    Does look very vertically compliant.

Brake levers always two finger widths away from grips.

Exactly the type of person to ignore a driving ban I imagine.  Guess they’ll wait until he kills someone before not sending him to prison again.

Bash a powerlink in there and you’ll be fine. Discovered 3 powerlink on my chain…don’t remember putting them there….

Spain family holiday, lots of sea and pool fun planned. First day one child slips and splits his chin open, local hospital, trainee nurse lost of fun. No water based fun allowed for rest of the week…….we’ve had quite a few hospital trips on holiday since then, you just got to roll with it. Or go on holiday without the kids…..

I’ve found one of the advantages of discs is braking on the hoods is much more powerful, calipers even when set up well always felt a lot more sketchy when on the hoods but good discs give me much more confidence. Obviously on long descents I’ll be on the drops anyway but for bimbling or unexpected stops it does make a difference.

Not very sexy but Trek Domane ticks a lot of your boxes.

Stems that have 4mm bolt on the faceplate and 5mm on the steerer are my bugbear.

Seeing this from the other side we get customers who have broken something and want it fixed ASAP but we have a workshop booked up over a week in advance or more during the summer, simple stuff we can do but we just can’t drop jobs that have been booked in. I’ve seen customers get pretty irate because we won’t immediately spend a couple of hours fixing their bike over and above existing customers.

They seem to have ramped up the options for crazy inventions on this one, stick an eyeball on an arrow, drone arrow!

Make sure you’ve told the shop exactly what happened so they have a good idea what to check.

Yup, a lot of people think a bike costs about a £100 and so replacing bits will be pretty cheap.

If it’s had new pads and rotors then squealing again it’s probably a leak at the caliper.

Surrey carbon repairs all the way, we’ve sent quite a few customers to them and they do a really good job. Not cheap but really good.

Score flattered us today, but a wins a win. Third behind the world number 1 and 2 is fairly acceptable I think, obviously that’s unless any odd results happen this afternoon.

Player dipping slightly and arms wrapping around I guess.

We needed an almost perfect game to come back from 19-0. Unfortunately a few mistakes cost us.

This is a hard watch, as usual Finn the best and worst thing for Scotland.

Only thing to bear in mind is magura rotors are thicker than shimabo rotors. Sometimes a bit awkward to set up, obviously depends on what rotors you’re running.

Differing gears a bit of an issue but with pretty much everyone on 12 speed now it’s a bit better. Easy enough to have Shimano and sram wheel on car, might not shift perfectly but better than waiting depending on where your team car is.

Hope ones come with two different rubber bungs.

Ive got the twistloc on some Sids and it seems okay but wouldn’t have bought it separately. Been using it with or without and can’t decide if I need it

At least there were still bearings in it, worst I’ve had was headset with mangled cage and three bearings not exactly managing to do their job.

Missed the last one and due to Xmas and lurgy barely been on a bike since. Not sure I have the enthusiasm for it, thought signing up for all three would be a good idea!

With stealth axle bolts it tends to be not inserting the Allen key enough rather than force that rounds them off.

I’d get on Just Riding Along and get some of their wheels, plenty of options and they’ll be built better than than either of your options.

I learnt about the Blue Lotus Flowers as well, but it was on What We Do In The Shadows and I didn’t realise it was true.

Bought a few things from them, no issues. Had a warranty claim on power meter and it was easy and pretty quick.

If you’re getting any ebike, buy local. So much easier for the inevitable updates and bits and pieces that will need done. Random eBay with a throttle, most shops won’t touch them.

Started few races again as got some real winter races coming up. First race back got a solid second place, it was category d and there were only two of us but I’m taking it as a moral victory.

The one I love is the pedestrians doggedly walking on the bike path rather than the pavement right next to it, presumably they’re enjoying the pretty pictures of bikes painted on the ground.

I don’t mind it, liberties taken but it looks good and it’s tipping along enough to keep me interested. Some of the dodgy accents do take a bit of willpower to gloss over though.

Only skimmed the coverage but now he’s lost he’s not allowed to drive the world is going to end? Did I get that right?

You’ll end up sitting in the smallest cog on the cassette and eating through cassettes. It’ll feel slow and unless it’s really hilly the 15.5mph motor cut out will mean you will often be riding a very heavy full sus with no assistance.

We records frame number on orders and it’s often quite hard work, the ones I enjoy most are where they clamp a cable guide over the top and you have to undo both gear cables to move it.

Got a lovely Shand steel road bike, it’s not the lightest frame but with light stuff on it it’s not particularly heavy. Aero makes a far bigger difference than weight unless it’s pretty steep, your body position and set up make a huge difference here. Lower front end, narrower bars and some yoga make a massive impact on your aeroness. Had aero cervelo before, faster on the Shand as it’s the perfect size and is longer/lower.
